Bully Ray Already Gone From TNA

0

Source: PWInsider

According to PWInsider, Bully Ray, who recently returned as a TNA authority figure, is already gone from the company.

Bully Ray wasn’t brought in to the television tapings, despite that he lives in the Orlando area. When people inquired as to why he wasn’t there, rumors started circulating that he’d already let the company.

The report says that Bully Ray told TNA he was finished, and wanted to distance himself from the brand. He supposedly wasn’t happy with the “current state of affairs” in the promotion.

Ray had been working on a per-appearance deal with the company, much like James Storm and Austin Aries have been during these tapings.

Rumors also circulated this week that showing up in TNA in May also cost him a spot on the NXT shows in Philadelphia. Conflicting reports state that he had an injury that prevented the appearance.

Update On The Hulk Hogan Rumors, WWE Reportedly Heard Audio Last Night, Satire Story

0

– There is a story on the Hulk Hogan situation going around from a “Read Talk Share” website and it should be noted that the website is satire. Any Hogan story on there is just that – satire. The story has already been shared thousands of times and by the looks of social media, people are believing it.

However, there is another website that claims they heard a snippet from the alleged Hogan audio that is going around. MediaTakeout.com, which has been the source of some crazy rumors over the years but has also reported credible stories, says they heard part of the audio and called it “disgusting, there can be no doubt that Hulk Hogan is a racist.” They allege that the tape was discovered during Hogan’s lawsuit with Gawker, which backs up other rumors we’ve heard. They add that it was sold to the National Enquirer and comes from a legal disposition. MTO also noted that WWE had the chance to hear the audio on Thursday night and were appalled, which is why they began distancing themselves.

As noted, WWE removed all Hogan mentions from their website, removed his merchandise from WWE Shop and he’s been pulled as a judge on Tough Enough. They even dropped the “Axelmania” gimmick for Curtis Axel that was a Hogan parody.

Sources are still saying that the audio in question will be released this morning so we will keep you updated.

Huge CM Punk Interview: Talks Not Being Happy In WWE, AJ Leaving, More

0

Former WWE Champion CM Punk spoke to MMA Fighting’s Ariel Helwani for over 45 minutes to discuss his journey to the UFC, in what has become an annual interview. You can check out the highlights below, or see the full interview above.

* Punk says he didn’t know he was going to leave WWE when Helwani interviewed him shortly before the Royal Rumble in 2014.

* Helwani said that Punk told him he was happy before the Royal Rumble, and he didn’t believe him. Punk says he didn’t believe himself, but he’s happy now.

* He wasn’t allowed to go to UFC shows while he was with WWE.

* Punk said that the UFC wanted to make the announcement, but looking back he wouldn’t have minded training and seeing where he was before making the announcement that he was joining company.

* CM Punk said that AJ Lee fell in love with Milwaukee, and that helped him decide to move. He said driving every day and training once a day wasn’t enough for him. Now he’s training 2-3 times a day, and takes the weekends off.

* Punk talked about getting rocked pretty hard in a kickboxing scrimmage while at the gym. He said he would have easily lost via judges’ decision.

* He says he doubts he’s won any scrimmages yet, but he’s fighting professional fighters. He wants to gauge where he needs to be at.

* Punk said that a filmmaker is following him throughout the process, all the way up to his fight.

* He has a problem taking it to easy on guys because he’s still in pro wrestling mode sometimes. Punk says that Brock Lesnar said he had the same problem.

* He says he didn’t watch pro wrestling when he was there, as it was just a job to him by that point.

* It wasn’t a relief when AJ Lee left WWE, because he enjoyed watching her and he was invested in her. He says she could go back to the WWE tomorrow, and he wouldn’t.

* Punk says he’d like his debut fight to be in December, but his accountant wants him to hold off so he doesn’t have any big income in. Ultimately he says it’s up to his coach, Duke Roufus.

* He says he trains with some of the best guys in MMA, and there are plenty that a lot of people haven’t heard of and aren’t in the UFC.

* Punk isn’t interested in calling anyone out, but he hopes they’re in the UFC. He said the person who faces him is in a weird position because people will either say Punk sucks or his opponent sucks based on who wins.

* He wants to fight more than once and says he got a “sweet deal.” He wants to compete at 170 pounds.

* Punk says that Daniel Bryan sent him a text to tell him that him signing with the UFC was awesome. He thought it was cool that Bryan reached out to him because they hadn’t talked in a long time.

* He doesn’t have an agent or a manager, and doesn’t care about the Reebok deal, he says his focus is training. He doesn’t want to have to pay someone a percent of his money.

* He’ll be using the CM Punk name, and he says a lot of people are upset about it, even though Mirko CroCop and Rampage Jackson go by nicknames.

* He has positive memories of training to be a pro wrestler, and he’s experience a lot of those same feelings as he learns and trains MMA. He says he wouldn’t consider this the most fun time of his life, but it isn’t a dark time.

* Helwani asks him if he feels hypocritical about complaining about part-timers in WWE, and starting in the UFC the way he did. He says the UFC is real, and he’s already had two dozen guys call him out. You make your own spot in UFC.

* He’s asked about the brutal Robbie Lawler/Rory MacDonald fight and says “that sh*t happens in a fight,” and one should have probably tried to have wrestle a little more.

* Punk says he just does whatever his coaches tell him to, and shows up whenever they ask him to.

* He knows he’s going to fight on PPV, it probably won’t be a main event, and will likely be in Las Vegas. He’d like to fight on a card with Ronda Rousey or Conor McGregor first, then he’d like to compete in Chicago for his second fight. He doesn’t want his first fight to be in Chicago, because it’s the only way that he’ll feel pressure.

* Punk talks about how ridiculous it is that mixed martial arts isn’t legalized in New York.

* He doesn’t know why the UFC signed him, but he knows that the company thinks there’s money in bringing him onto the roster. He said that they had to convince him that they were serious, but he’s known Dana White and the Fertittas for a long time. He thought the company was joking when they made the offer.

* AJ Lee makes a quick cameo around the 35 minute mark.

* Punk says he made a trip to Louisville in October to see Cliff Compton while AJ was in Mexico. He said Dana White called him while he was there, and asked him about fighting and asked him what the deal with WWE was. Dana and Lorenzo then flew to Chicago and had dinner with him and offered him a contract to fight. They told him it was good business. They then got on a plane and flew to Montreal to see Georges St-Pierre.

* Punk had to talk things over with AJ Lee, then gave his confirmation. The UFC wanted to announce it in November, and was the “big announcement” at the November press conference, but it got delayed because AJ couldn’t make it to be there with him.

* He says he wasn’t mentally in a good position to fight, act or anything due to the lawsuits. Once the lawsuits wrapped up, he was good to go and said the UFC made things happen quickly for him.

* He didn’t negotiate with other MMA companies, but got offers to do porn. There were also a lot of feelers for other ventures sent out.

* Punk picks TJ Dillashaw to beat Barao, and cites Barao’s weight cutting issues as a possible reason.

* He’ll be at UFC on Fox this Saturday in Chicago. The last time he was at a UFC in Chicago was January 2014, and had to get on his bus and ride right to Pittsburgh, which was his last night in the WWE.

The full interview is a must-watch, and can be seen above.

More On The Rumors Of WWE Distancing Themselves From Hulk Hogan – Tape To Be Revealed Soon?

0

There are a lot of rumors that a tape will be revealed on Friday morning that has WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan repeatedly using racial slurs. There is an old audio going around on YouTube of Hogan using the “n word” during an interview in 2012 but that is not the same audio that is being rumored now.

As noted, WWE removed all Hogan mentions from their website, removed his merchandise from WWE Shop and he’s been pulled as a judge on WWE Tough Enough. They even dropped the “Axelmania” gimmick for Curtis Axel that was a parody of Hogan.

One reliable source who is aware of the audio says it’s going to do some major damage to Hogan, which is why WWE is distancing themselves ahead of time, but he will be able to rebound from it after some time and some effort.

Apparently the audio has been known to people close to Hogan for some time and is rumored to have been recorded a few years ago, long before Hogan made his return to WWE. This is obviously a developing story and nothing has been confirmed yet but we will keep you updated.

For those who missed it earlier, Hogan tweeted the following when WWE’s website started removing his profiles early Friday:

Hulk Hogan Rumored To Be Done With WWE Again; Hogan Goes On Racial Tirade?

0

In a developing situation, it appears as if WWE Hall of Famer and current Tough Enough judge Hulk Hogan has parted way with the company. The reason stems from rumors of a tape existing featuring Hogan allegedly going on a racial tirade.

Hulk Hogan’s profile has been removed from the Alumni section of WWE’s website, all of his merchandise has been removed from WWEShop.com, and Hogan has been removed from the cast listing on Tough Enough’s website. Dave Meltzer noted that the WWE Website was told to remove all references to him.

In addition to this, Curtis Axel, who has been playing a parody of Hogan in recent months, had his profile photo switched from the parody character to his normal persona. You can see his profile at this link.

Hogan returned to the WWE in 2014, after over six years away from the company.

Hogan tweeted the following early Friday morning:

Update: The audio below is not the one in question, but here’s an interview of Hogan using some racial terms rather liberally, including him talking about the infamous promo Booker T cut on him:

Daniel Bryan Says WWE Is Hesitant To Clear Him, Doesn’t Want Him Talking About His Situation, More

0

Daniel Bryan joined David Shoemaker and Peter Rosenberg on ESPN’s Cheap Heat podcast, to promote his new book, Yes! My Improbable Journey To The Main Event Of WrestleMania. Here are the highlights, and be sure to check out the full podcast at this link.

* The hosts pretend to read off their notes and call Daniel Bryan a “professional wrestler,” and he’s surprised it doesn’t say “sports entertainer.” As is turns out, they were joking, but Daniel Bryan said he doesn’t get reprimanded for using the term. He notes that in WWE appearances, he’ll just say “WWE Superstar.”

* Daniel Bryan says he feels great, and says “The situation is I’ve been cleared by one doctor in Phoenix, but the WWE doctor is hesitant to clear me. I guess they don’t want me really talking about it.”

* Bryan thinks that from WWE’s perspective, they wanted him to bring prestige back to the Intercontinental title. He says the situation unfolds on the new season of Total Divas.

* Bryan talks about missing a flight for the Money in the Bank PPV because nobody told him he was needed for the show. He contacted travel people and writers, and nobody had any idea why.

* He says WWE is looking out for his best interests, and times have changed.

* “There’s mixed opinions on what’s best for me,” Bryan said. “It’s not like I just have some guy who’s my buddy who just happens to be a doctor (that cleared me).”

* Daniel Bryan confirmed that a combination of CM Punk leaving and Batista not panning out as reasons why he ended up main eventing WrestleMania. He says that the idea was presented a couple of weeks after the Royal Rumble. He said that he’s not kept abreast of things.

* He says he had to contact John Cena to get Vince McMahon’s number and said Vince has called him twice in his life, one of which was in 2008 before an ROH show. He says he tells the story in the book.

* Initially, he felt the pressure of being Bryan Danielson in WWE instead of Daniel Bryan, but CM Punk’s career path helped WWE give him an opportunity.

* Daniel Bryan says he gets more frustrated following Brie’s career than his, because guys get more opportunities. “If I’m on TV and losing every week, I’m losing in ten minutes. I get the opportunity that I can wrestle. For the Divas it’s different.” He says it’s hard to be popular when you’re losing in three minute matches every week. He puts over Total Divas, and how hard the twins work.

* Bryan says he still thinks as a wrestler and has plenty of ideas saved up. He still watches wrestling when he’s bored.
