Crediut: Sharon Glencross

The show opens with Dario in his office talking to Ryck. Dario gives Ryck a free medallion without having to wrestle for it as well as some cash.

Johnny Mundo vs. Texano

Mundo gets a mixed reaction. Crowd seems majorly into Texano though. Mundo trash talks Texano a bit. Lock up to start. Mundo throws Texano into the corner and goes after his leg with a vengeance. Texano is really selling it. Mundo pokes Texano’s eyes and drags him outside and continues to brutalize him all around the temple. Texano fights back with chops. Mundo comes back with an enziguri. Texano goes for a powerbomb but Mundo counters with a Russian leg sweep. Mundo goes for the end of the world but Texano escapes. The goons hit the ring and attack Texano for the disqualification. Del Rio shows up and attacks them. Texano whips the heels to send them on their way.

Winner by DQ: Texano

Texano and Del Rio stare each other down to end the segment.

Hernandez confronts Dario is in his office. Dario tells Hernandez he gets tweets from the fans and they all say they hate Hernandez. Hernandez is mad. Dario announces that his match against Drago will now be a “Believer’s Backlash.”

Cage vs. The Mack

Short match, Mack got the surprise win out of nowhere and him and Cage ended up brawling all over the temple. Security gets involved and the wrestlers beat them up as well so Dario storms out. He makes a falls count anywhere match for next week.

Winner: The Mack

Dario informs us that after the break he’s going to make a major announcement about the future of the medallions.

Dario calls the new medallion belt a “Gift from God” and say they guarantee a title shot whenever the wrestler wants…but they can’t just “cash it in” and have to tell Dario so he can properly promote the match. I suppose that’s a dig at the MITB briefcase. If the medallion belt holder waits to long for a match they will have to defend it. A seven-person match for the belt is made for Ultima Lucha next week. The participants comes down to the ring. Fenix returns. Dario is mad but says he will be allowed to compete in tonight’s 10-man battle royal which is about to commence.

Battle Royal for the medallion

No Del Rio interestingly. Vinny attacks Fenix in the corner and bangs his head against the buckle. Ricky Mandel out via Famous B. Argenis is out too with a pele kick from Famous B. Killshot brawls with Famous B. Delavar eliminates Killshot. Delavar eliminates Vinny next with a neck snap. Mascarita takes out Superfly and himself in the process. Marty and Delavar work together and take out Famous B. Fenix takes out Delavar. Now the battle royal is over with and it’s Fenix vs. Marthy the Moth via pinfall or submission.

Fenix vs. Marty the Moth

Fenix won a short match with the rana to regain the medallion. He thanks the fans and poses with them. Dario is mad.

Winner: Fenix

Prince Puma is out next for his interview.

Puma comes down to the ring in what looks like new ring gear. He’s about to say something when Catrina and Mil Muertes interrupt. The Disciples of Death go after Puma but he fights back. Mil looks uneasy. Mil eventually runs down to the ring and they brawl. Puma hits a 630 splash on him to end the show.

We come back to see Diesel and Dijak beating down Mark Briscoe, before tagging in Jay Lethal to pick up the pieces. Jay Briscoe gets a tag and unloads strikes on Dijak before hitting a big neckbreaker. An early Jay Driller attempt sees him attacked in the corner. Diesel gets a two on a suplex, and Lethal makes Truth tag in. He gets hits once and tags back out. He’s still wearing his sunglasses.

Lethal scores a Rainmaker variation, but Strong gets the tag and dropkicks Lethal. Double knee gutbuster and Sick Kick gets two before Diesel and Dijak break the count. All hell breaks loose, and ODB gets slammed by Martini. She’s surrounded by all four members and attacks them, before her partners make the big save. Several crash and burns leave ODB in the ring to roll up Martini for the win.

Former WWE Diva Sunny Bashes Charlotte, Sasha Banks And Becky Lynch

0

Tammy Sytch, famously known as Sunny, has been among the most outspoken individuals in the professional wrestling industry and she furthered that reputation Monday night by offering her controversial opinion on the three newest members of WWE’s Divas roster, Becky Lynch, Sasha Banks and Charlotte.

While watching Monday Night Raw, she posted the following on her personal Facebook account: “ok…….who else thinks the 2 new red/purple/orange heads in the diva divisions are buttafaces??? and charlotte (Ashley) really has in ring talent???”

The WWE Hall of Famer garnered a mixed response from her Facebook friends, with those defending the trio touting their wrestling skills. Sytch said in response to those people, “you guys dont get what a diva should be.”

She added, “ive never been a fan of womens wrestling.. leave it to the men.. and my opinion of how someone looks is my opinion… as if no one has ever judged me??”

Sytch, however, was complementary of one WWE Diva.

“on the other hand, i ADORE Lana,” she noted.

CM Punk – Chris Amann Million Dollar Lawsuit Update

0

In an update to the $1 million lawsuit filed by WWE doctor Chris Amann against CM Punk and Colt Cabana for comments made during Cabana’s Art of Wrestling podcast last November, The Washington Post reports that a Cook County Circuit Court judge denied motions from Punk and Cabana to dismiss the case. The case will move forward, and Punk and Cabana will have until August 24th to file a response to Amann’s complaint.

Amaan claims that the comments made by Punk and Cabana were false and defamatory. It was noted that the episode has been streamed over 1 million times on YouTube, as well as many other times on other platforms.

Punk stated on the podcast that, amongst other claims, Amann misdiagnosed a MRSA staph infection as a fatty deposit and noted that a doctor recommended to him by wife AJ Lee said that he should be dead after wrestling with it for months. WWE sent us a statement shortly after Amann filed suit disputing Punk’s claims, noting that Punk claimed that he performed at The Royal Rumble last year with a baseball-sized, purple lump on his back located near the waistband of his tights. They sent the video below with nearly four minutes of ass shots of Punk from The Royal Rumble to show that there was no growth on his back.

It should be noted that Punk appeared on Opus radio last December and showed the scar from his staph infection. The growth would have been located below the waistband of his tights. You can see video of Punk showing the scar below at the 0:35 mark:

Court documents reveal that the case has been assigned to category 2, and the judge has allowed 28 months for discovery.

Stephanie McMahon Says The Darren Young Character Isn’t Gay

0

Source: Daily Beast

The Daily Beast ran an article today about the WWE’s hesitation to promote gay, lesbian and transgender characters on their program today, during that article, Stephanie McMahon shared an interesting quote.

“Darren Young was the first WWE superstar to really come out as being homosexual, but his character in the show is not,” McMahon said. “At least, we haven’t done anything with it either way — just yet.”

Stephanie is differentiating the Darren Young character, which she considers not to be gay, and Fred Rosser, who plays the character and is gay.

Darren Young came out as gay in August 2013, as TMZ cameras caught up with him while at LAX. It made him the WWE’s only actively openly gay performer.

Since then, there has been little to no mention of Young’s sexual orientation on WWE programming. Young and tag team partner Titus O’Neil did make mention of it jokingly on WWE’s YouTube, noting that Darren Young already had his “coming out party.”
