WWE Raw Pre-show Notes 11/30/15

– This week we have Kyle Edwards replacing Scott Stanford (for now), along with Otunga and Graves. After some early minute humorless banter we take on the discussion of the awesome new Sheamus/Reigns feud. And by awesome, I mean shitty. Barrett and Rusev are in the new heel clique too, how cool is that? And by cool I mean shitty.

– Dean Ambrose won some triple threat Smackdown match over Ziggler and Breeze to get a IC Title shot at Kevin Owens. What a quality push for Deano.

– The Dudleys are now feuding with the Wyatts for some reason. Tonight on Raw, the Dudleys have a message for the Wyatts.

– We learn that Rusev will be on MizTV… Because that’ll fix the ratings…

– The guys begin to discuss the Paige/Charlotte feud when we abruptly go to a video from backstage at Raw with Paige trying to turn Becky Lynch against Charlotte.

– An even more uneventful than usual preshow, and give the current product I can understand why. I can deal with this Edwards guy a little better than Stanford.

The WWE Raw Report 11/30/15 from the CONSOL Energy Center in Pittsburgh, PA

NEW DAY / SHEAMUS CELEBRATION SEGMENT

– A light bit of confetti begins to fall from the ceiling as NEW DAY make their way out. Apparently, tonight is a celebration. Big E is sweating so he takes a Pittsburgh Steelers terrible towel and wipes under his arms for some cheap heat. After some of the typical New Day promo stuff, they introduce…. SHEAMUS…. Oooooo-K. So we get Sheamus coming to the ring in a suit. Yes, in a suit. So I guess we’re still celebrating Sheamus’ title win and I can only imagine ratings are going through the roof now. Sheamus continues to bask, and thanks Roman Reigns for making this all happen.

They all have fun with the fact that Reigns title run lasted 5 minutes and 15 seconds. “Sheamus 5:15” says I just kicked your arse. And apparently that closes the segment with some pointless fireworks and more confetti… Sheamus gets down off the ropes and turns into a SUPERMAN PUNCH from Roman Reigns….

Reigns leaves with the WWE Title with about 50% of the fans booing him. Reigns stands at the top of the ramp with the belt smiling like a goof. Lame.

— Commercial Break —

– Backstage, Reigns is bragging with the WWE Title along with the Usos and Dean Ambrose when HHH and Stephanie show up. They force Reigns to give the WWE Title back. HHH informs Reigns that Sheamus wants to defend his title against Reigns TONIGHT on Raw… Stephanie explains that Reigns will have to win the title within 5:15….

1. Tyler Breeze (w/Summer Rae) vs. Dolph Ziggler

Ohh goody, we kick off with a repeat match. Breeze dominates early on with some 2 count falls and continues to work over Ziggz. Dolph finally tries a comeback but runs shoulder first into the ring post and flies to the floor. We head to break with Ziggz down and out.

Back from break, Breeze still in control. But Ziggles finally begins to take over control. Dolph lands a series of his usual comeback routine, but misses a splash in the corner and eats an enzuigiri from Breeze, and Tyler gets a near fall. Breeze hits the catapult in the corner for a near fall and then a variation of the back stabber and again gets a near fall. Ziggler tries to come back with a Superkick, but Breeze catches it. Tyler tries for the Unprettier, but Ziggler counters with a backslide for 2… The two then trade several pin fall attemptes before Breeze runs right into a Superkick from Zigglesworth, and Dolph gets the pin. These two just don’t click.. at all. 10:32 was the time. Ziggz is your winner. This did nothing for either man and it was barely there as a match.

— Commercial Break —

MIZ TV WITH RUSEV AND LANA

We return from break with Miz and Rusev already in the ring. The fans want Lana, but Rusev informs them that she is his. Rusev says Lana is the one who helped him rehab back to 100% after his injury. Rusev brings Lana to ringside and they hug. Miz begins to question all of the cheating and other things that happened, but Rusev cuts him off. Lana says she forgot everything when Rusev asked her to marry him. Lana says she never went all the way with Dolph, but the crowd says she did. Lana says her heart belongs only to Rusev, her Bulgarian Sunshine. Rusev says he didn’t sleep with Summer either… Ugh, this is poo.

Rusev says he’s going to break bodies in the ring, but out of the ring his heart is for Lana. Then they make out in the ring.

Finally, this mess is cut off by RYBACK for some reason. Ryback has seen enough of this garbage… And I agree. Ryback calls out Rusev, and it’s next!

— Commercial Break —

2. Ryback vs. Rusev (w/Lana)

This match is in progress as we return from break. Rusev has control but Ryback comes back with a flying dropkick that sends Rusev out of the ring. Rusev spears Rusev into the steps which somehow bump into Lana and causes her to fall. Lana sells her thigh and Rusev comes over to help her instead of reentering the ring… Rusev is counted out in about 1:40 of televised action. WOW….

– Backstage, Dean Ambrose runs into HHH. Trips congratulates Dean on becoming #1 contender to the IC Title. HHH also informs Ambrose that if Reigns doesn’t win against Sheamus tonight in 5:15, that Ambrose will also lose his IC Title shot. What would they do with this Authority power abuse shit they’ve been doing for what seems like years…

— Commercial Break —

THE DUDLEY BOYZ ADDRESS THE WYATT FAMILY

They Dudleys are in the ring with four tables propped up on the ropes. Each table is covered with a black cloth. They Wyatts beat down the Dudleys last week, but they didn’t finish the job. By doing what they did to the Dudleys, the Wyatts put their names on the tables. And sure enough, each table has a name of a Wyatt family member. I give Bubba credit, for as crappy as this storyline is, Bubba delivers a promo as serious as possible. D-Von reminds us of the old Dudley commandments. Bubba calls the Wyatts out right now.

The Wyatts stop at the top of the ramp. Bray accepts the Dudley’s challenge. The lights go out and come back on and Rowan, Harper, and Strowman are now at ringside!!! But the Dudleys aren’t alone… They have Family too…. IT’S TOMMY DREAMER, complete with trash can of weapons…. Bray sends the family in after the Dudleys and Dreamer, but the ECW-ites fight them off with kendo sticks… Fans chant “this is awesome” as the Wyatts take off… And we head to an abrupt commercial break.

— Commercial Break —

3. The Dudley Boyz & Tommy Dreamer vs. The Wyatt Family (Strowman, Harper & Rowan)

And this match is joined in progress. I hope this isn’t the new thing. Double flapjack by the Dudleys on Harper, and Dreamer tags in on fire. Dreamer nails Rowan on the apron but runs into a Harper spinning sidewalk slam. Strowman tags in and beats down Dreamer. Rowan tags in and applies the KNUCKLE DRILL TO THE TEMPLE!!! Old school baby!!! Rowan misses a splash and Dreamer hot tags to Bubba. Bubba is all over Harper and hits the ROCK BOTTOM, but the heels break it up. We end up with all 6 men in the ring and a DOUBLE DQ…. 3:30 or so is shown. BLAH AGAIN…

The Wyatts beat down Tommy and the Dudleys, and Bray instructs them to “get the tables”. Bray begins to instruct from the apron, but Bubba Ray jumps up and knocks Wyatt off the apron and through a table!!! The Wyatts immediately go out to check on Bray as Dreamer and the Dudleys are able to escape and save some face. Wyatt sells the table bump like he’s half dead.

— Commercial Break —

4. US Champ Alberto Del Rio vs. Goldust

Colter starts it off with a promo he says that everyone in Amerca has hate, Del Rio needs to beat it out of them. ADR starts to cut a promo on Goldust, but Goldie slaps him and the match begins. Goldust attacks but ADR takes over and a DDT gets a near fall. Goldust comes back with a snap powerslam and spinebuster, both for two. Goldust goes for the bulldog, but ADR sends Goldie off and into the corner for the perfect position for his double stop finisher, which ends it in 2:00. Jeeze.

After the match, Del Rio puts Goldust in the Cross Armbreaker, but Jack Swagger heads out to break it up. ADR takes off and escapes Jack Swagger who leads the fans in a “We The People” chant.

– Backstage Beck Lynch asks Charlotte for a match tonight on Raw…. “for fun”. Charlotte hesitantly agrees, under the condition that Ric Flair can be at ringside… Woo…

— Commercial Break —

5. The Usos vs. The Lucha Dragons

This match is for the #1 contenders for New Day at TLC… Speaking of New Day, they’re on commentary… The match starts to get going when NEW DAY attacks both sides causing a quick DOUBLE DQ… The idea being neither team wins so neither team gets a title shot… Another short match, another non-finish. Some of the worst crap ever is what this Raw is. Was looking forward to this one too.

— Commercial Break —

– Back from break, both Usos and Lucha Dragons claim since neither team lost they should both get title shots in a Triple Threat at TLC. Stephanie agrees with them. The Dragons get the Title shot…. As do the Usos… IF Reigns can beat Sheamus in 5:15. Oh that Reigns, causing problems for everyone.

6. Sasha Banks (w/Team BAD) vs. Brie Bella

Supposedly Alicia Fox has been taken out, so Brie is by her lonesome. Team BAD get a corny pre-taped promo before the match. Sasha pretty much dominates early on. Brie fights back with the middle rope dropkick and the YES kicks. Brie knocks Naomi and Tamina off the apron, but Banks takes the advantage to land the Back Stabber and the Banks Statement for the tap out win in 4:57

– Backstage, the Usos and Ambrose pump Reigns up for his match next.

— Commercial Break —

7. WWE Champion Sheamus vs. Roman Reigns

Sheamus is sporting a “Sheamus 5:15” shirt. So the title is on the line, but Reigns only has to WIN to get everybody their title shots at the PPV. Reigns starts off fast and hot, he gets a near fall off a roll up and continues to control. Sheamus takes over and hooks a chin lock to eat up the clock. Reigns breaks free and lands a nice tackle and a big boot for a near fall with 2:45 to go. Sheamus escapes to the floor to eat up clock but Reigns retrieves him and lands a Samoan Drop for 2… Again, Sheamus lures Reigns to the floor and sends Roman flying over the top of the announce table and into the barricade with 2:00 left. The referee begins to count but Roman comes back and sends Sheamus face first into the post with 1:30 left. The two are back in the ring with 51 seconds to spare. Reigns sets up for the spear when RUSEV drags Reigns to the floor. And that’s the DQ win for Reigns in 4:36. So that’s four non-finishes.

Del Rio and King Barrett show up to save Sheamus. Sheamus introduces the world to his “League of Nations”. It’s King Barrett, Sheamus, Rusev, and… Del Rio?!?!?!???? Ummm, isn’t Del Rio already doing another gimmick?

The Usos and Ambrose join Reigns in the ring to even the odds. Reigns just wants Sheamus one on one and whacks Sheamus with a hard right hand to knock him off the apron. And the segment just ends that way.

– Lengthy Cyber Monday promo from New Day, and more interesting than most of the show thus far.

— Commercial Break —

8. WWE Divas Champ Charlotte (w/Ric Flair) vs. Becky Lynch

Remember, this match is non-title, just “for fun”. If you remember my preshow notes, Paige instigated this match. Paige is on commentary for this one. It’s a lot of back and forth feeling out, Lunch has control through most of it with some submissions and pinning combinations. Charlotte takes over with a neckbreaker and some chops. Charlotte’s Web gets a 2 count. Team BAD are in the back watching and eating popcorn. The crappy Paige interview upstages most of the match as the announcers pay more attention to Paige. BLAH. Charlotte appears to have injured her ankle, Becky looks concerned, Ric Flair gets up on the apron to check, but Charlotte is faking, and she nips up and rolls up Becky from behind for the win in 4:37.

I’m not sure WTF just happened there???

I mean, I get that Charlotte just tricked her friend to beat her and then celebrated with Ric Flair all the way to the back, but WTF was that? So Paige is the heel, but she just proved to Lynch that Charlotte is an asshole too. Becky just looks on in astonishment in the ring as Charlotte celebrates to the back. I don’t know how any of that helped anyone involved.

— Commercial Break —

– Becky Lynch confronts Charlotte backstage. She is upset with Charlotte and says she cheated. Charlotte says she didn’t cheat, she just took advantage, and it was tough love. Charlotte tells Lynch she needs to step up her game and says they’re still friends. Charlotte comes off as a douche as she walks off. Becky is left standing there when Paige walks in and continues to stir the pot. Lynch looks confused and hurt. I feel bad for her, but only because of this stupid high school storyline…

– Oh dear God, Adam Rose has another new gimmick. “The Rosebush” is some sort of new segment where he discusses recent WWE happenings and makes crappy jokes about them. He’s some sort of really shitty version of TMZ or something. This may be the worst thing yet. Dear God. That poor guy.

– Stardust Christmas promo. Interrupted in Stardust world once again by Titus O’Neil. Some back and forth “comedy” ensues and Titus throws a present at Stardust.

— Commercial Break —

Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose & The Usos vs. Sheamus, Rusev, Alberto Del Rio, & King Barrett

Noticeably absent is Zeb Colter, who apparently doesn’t exist when the League of Nations is around. So much for Mex-America.

And as all 8 men are in the ring. NEW DAY comes to ringside as well. New Day joins the League of Nations to make this SEVEN ON FOUR.

Who writes this shit? Are we seriously back to the handicap matches for heat? Garbage.

Anyway, match starts with New Day trying to work over Jey Uso, but Xavier ends up in the face corner and all 4 faces stomp the crap out of Woods and Reigns tosses Xavier to the floor. New Day & Rusev drag Woods back to the heel corner as we take a break.

Back from break, the Usos take over on Woods, but Jimmy appears to jam his knee and the heels take back over and dominate Jimmy’s ankle for the next several minutes. Kofi misses a top rope splash and Jey gets the hot tag. Jey clears house and Samoan drops Kofi, but Big E blasts Jey from the blindside with a clothesline. Meanwhile, Jimmy Uso lays outside clutching his knee on the floor. We go to break.

Back from break, we learn Jimmy Uso was taken to the back with a knee injury. Now the heels work over Jey Uso. Jey eventually lands an enzuigiri on Kofi to hot tag to Reigns… Roman comes in a house of fire, laying out New Day and landing a Double drive by dropkick on Kofi & Woods. But the heel numbers are too much and they jump Reigns on the floor and Rusev sends Roman into the barricade. The heels now take over control on Reigns.

After working Roman over, he manages the inevitable hot tag to Ambrose and Dean goes crazy on the heels, taking everyone out inside the ring and on the floor with flying elbows, suicide dives, and beyond… Dean drops Sheamus, but Rusev stops the count. Jey Uso climbs back inside and superkicks Rusev, but then ADR superkicks Jey Uso. Reigns fires back up and starts taking out heels all over on the arena floor, but back inside Ambrose is distracted and eats a BROGUE KICK that ends this in 24:00.

The heels win and begin to attack Ambrose after the match, but Reigns attempts to aid his friend. The heels beat down Dean and Reigns and all 7 celebrate as Michael Cole tells us to take a look at the new state of the WWE…. May God help us all….

The WWE Raw Report 11/23/15

– Okay, so I know I usually do a brief overview of the preshow, but let’s face it, you’re not missing anything. That, and the fact that it was only 7 minutes ago that I convinced myself to waste 3 hours of my life reviewing this show tonight. The pure garbage fed to us throughout most, if not all, of last night’s Survivor Series had me strongly considering giving up the Raw Report, and honestly giving up watching WWE until Royal Rumble time. BUT, here I am, feeling bad because I missed several weeks in the late summer while down ill, so I’m here to review what I can only imagine will be a suck fest…. Oh, and HHH and Stephanie are opening the show… So I digress….

The Authority / Sheamus / Roman Reigns Opening Segment

– Trips and Raspy McBooby Nuggets are out first. Raspy, I mean Stephanie, speaks first. Ugh. The gist is that Roman Reigns had two chances to join the Authority, but instead speared HHH. Reigns got what he deserved and that’s why he isn’t champion. (I could write a small book on the atrocious booking of EVERYTHING right now, but I don’t even have the drive. WWE has completely drained me of care.)

Anyway… Trips brings out new WWE Champ, the Irish jobber Sheamus. As you’d suspect, Sheamus is about as over as a fart in church. Big money draw.

What a moment Fella. Sheamus gets some heat. It’s not top heel heat, it’s not even X Pac heat, it’s just “why are you in this position” heat. Sheamus told us he was one Brogue Kick away, and last night he proved it… Well actually it was two Brogue kicks fella….

Sheamus wants to know who looks stupid now, in reference to the typical “you look stupid chants”.

Roman Reigns interrupts. If they think they’ll get Reigns over by taking the title off a boring mid carder, they’ll find out that none of this is working. Reigns wants his title rematch tonight. Stephanie asks Reigns how does it feel to want, and he lost his rematch when he speared HHH… Wait, didn’t he spear HHH BEFORE he lost the title?

Reigns thinks HHH is hiding behind Stephanie and is scared. Off mic HHH directs Reigns to step up to his face and he does, lol… HHH tells Roman he will get his rematch when HHH says, and it won’t be tonight… Is anyone really clamoring for ANY match involving Sheamus?

The Authority start to walk away when RUSEV comes out of nowhere with the jumping side kick that floors Reigns, then Roman gets up right into a BROGUE KICK from Sheamus…

HHH informs Reigns he will get his rematch in a TLC match at the TLC PPV. Joy.

Reigns will face Rusev tonight. So Rusev is back, and apparently with the Authority. I guess that’s potentially better than the long, drawn out, girl chasing storyline.

— Commercial Break —

– Pre-recorded interview from the Wyatt Family. Bray says the Brothers of Destruction survived, but the Dudleys won’t. Tonight they will break the Dudleys in half…

1. The Dudley Boyz vs. The Wyatt Family

Bray and Harper are in the match. Well this match is out of nowhere. Curious to see how this breaks down. They’re wasting the Dudleys right now, and at the same time the Wyatts just got murdered last night. Wyatts should have accepted the New Day challenge. Harper starts with Bubba. It’s back and forth until D-Von tags in and they nail Harper with a double flapjack, the inverted 3D neckbreaker, they call for 3D but Luke wisely escapes and we head to break…

Back from break, Harper is working over D-Von, but D-Von manages a hot tag to Bubba. Bubb Ray does all his usual stuff to Harper, and is distracted by Rowan. Bubba knocks Rowan off the apron and turn around into the discus clothesline from Harper. Harper pins Bubba like a BITCH in 7:20. WOW. Really?

After the match, the Wyatts lay out the Dudleys, Strowman chokes out Bubba and Wyatt lands Sister Abigail on D-Von. The end.

— Commercial Break —

– 25 Years of Undertaker Video, followed by Team BAD making their way to the ring. A commercial break follows before the next match…

2. Sasha Banks (w/Team BAD) vs. Becky Lynch

It’s back and forth to start but Sasha takes over with the double knee drop while Lynch is laying on the middle rope. Sasha with some near falls looks frustrated. Becky fights back and lands a nice T-bone throw. Becky Lynch locks in the Dis-Armer, but Naomi distracts the ref while Tamina pulls Banks’ leg under the ropes for the break. Becky gets up pissed and Sasha rolls her up to steal the win in 4:06. How do you expect to get these NXT girls over using shitty WWE finishes.

– The announcers discuss the next Divas challenger. PAIGE interrupts on the big screen and claims she’s still the #1 contender because Charlotte cheated. Paige points out Charlotte’s arms were under the ropes when she forced Paige to tap last night. Ok. Paige calls Charlotte dirty, like he father.

— Commercial Break —

NEW DAY FIRST ANNIVERSARY COUNTRY MUSIC JAMBOREE

Yeah… I wrote that… Not a typo either. New Day make their way out with fake horses, cowboys hats, Kofi even has his hair in a pony tail shaped as a Unicorn horn… Jesus Christ… New Day is turning one. They move on to mock country music, being in County Music City and all. They say it sucks and begin to mock sing country. Kofi says it as “himself and not in character”. lol

Looks like Lucha Dragons accept the challenge. Kalisto gets on the mic… Say wha? Kalisto says New Day doesn’t rock, New Day RUNS (in referens fro Survivor Series). Lucha Dragons accept the challenge and wish new Day Happy Anniversary.

New Day start to leave, when the USOS stop them. Now the Usos and New Day go back and forth on the mic as well. Kofi says neither challenging team is ready for a title shot.

Sin Cara suggests a TRIPLE THREAT. Big E is sad they have ruined their Jamboree. New Day has CLOSED their open challenge. Lucha Dragons and Usos lay out all three New Day members. Annnnnd we end up having NO MATCH. Wow, what a payoff….

The crap booking continues.

– We learn that Paige will get her title rematch against Charlotte later tonight.

— Commercial Break —

– Renee Young interviews Charlotte backstage. Nothing to see here.

Out comes Mark Henry. Who’s he jobbing to this time….

3. Mark Henry vs. Neville

Henry’s music stops before he even gets in the ring. Wow, all new levels of F-U. Henry overpowers Neville with ease, then Neville out of nowhere with a jumping enzuigiri kick and Mark slowly bumps to his knees and onto his back. Red Arrow ends it… Wow… Just wow…. Match went 2:22.

For some reason, the Miz is watching on backstage.

Following the match Mark Henry SHAKES Neville’s hand and tells him he’s “gonna be good”.

– More weird shit backstage, it’s Stardust cutting a promo in the dark and star lights… Titus O’Neil “accidentally” walks into the segment and the music stops. “Comedy” ensues. Titus likes Stardust’s set up and barks at him, startling Stardust. Michael Cole even asks WTF that was… No shit Michael. Six man tag up next.

— Commercial Break —

4. The Prime Time Players & Goldust vs. Stardust & The Ascension

Wow, with all the injuries and Cena gone the lack of stars is starting to really becomes noticeable. Cody tags out to avoid starting against his brother. Goldust gets the upper hand on Viktor, and the Players continue the dominance. Viktor finally gets a tag to Stardust, but Cody runs right into a belly to belly throw from Young. Young lands the ROARING ELBOW and picks Cody up for his Gut Check finisher, but Cody escapes and the Ascension with a cheap shot allow the heels to finally take control.

We eventually get a hot tag to Titus as he barks and destroys the Ascension. Goldust clotheslines Cody out of the ring, Young drops Viktor with a back suplex on the apron, and Konnor jumps off the middle rope right into CLASH OF THE TITUS, which ends it in 6:25.

— Commercial Break —

Alberto Del Rio / Zeb Colter “State of the Union” Address

I don’t know who pushed for this entire Mex-America / Colter & Del Rio pairing, my guess it’s Vince, but this shit makes less sense than some of the other shit that makes no sense. And that says a lot. Mex-America didn’t fail last night, they are young, just like America is young. Zeb bashes American for a bit, then Del Rio does some more in Spanish. They’re interrupted by JACK SWAGGER on the ramp. Swagger defends America and calls Zeb old and out of touch for betraying America. Swagger is here to defend his country.

Del Rio argues with Swagger, Jack joins Alberto in the ring and confronts him. Alberto leaves the ring and refuses to fight. Didn’t New Day just do that? Anyway, ADR and Colter begin to leave when Swagger gets the fans to say along with him “We the People”. Zeb is pissed as the segment ends.

— Commercial Break —

5. Divas Champion Charlotte vs. Paige

This match starts out all Charlotte, she dominates until she goes to the middle rope and Paige pulls her off. On the way down Charlotte hits the back of her neck on the top buckle, and Paige takes control. Paige now cominates, Charlotte with many comeback attempts but they fail. Paige with a nasty kick and wicked submission stretches. We go to break as Paige works over Charlotte’s leg.

Back from break, we see Charlotte planted a superkick to Paige, but Paige has control once again. Charlotte coming back with Flair chops. Charlotte locks in a submission but Paige gets to the ropes. The ladies end up on the floor and Paige drives Charlotte into the barricade as they’re counted out, and the crowd goes mild. That was like 12:00 with no payoff, the story of the night. Double count out….

After the match, Paige locks in the PTO on top of the announce table. Paige is pouring sweat. Don’t know that I’ve ever seen a WWE Divas match work that hard. It wasn’t mind blowing by any means, but it was decent.

— Commercial Break —

– So we’re gonna get Del Rio vs. Swagger on Smackdown.

– Inside the ring, Heath Slater is in the ring with a guitar… Heath Slater gets a segment? Now you know they’re running out of talent. Slater trashes country music… Didn’t New Day do that too? Crowd is silent until he trashes Johnny Cash. Wow…. Slater begins to sing. Ryback interrupts. Ryback gets in the ring and HEATH SLATER BUSTS THE GUITAR right over Ryback… Wow… And Ryback doesn’t even bump.

Ryback responds with a Spinebuster, the Meat Hook, and Shell shock. So Ryback squashes a jobber… and that accomplishes what?

— Commercial Break —

6. Dean Ambrose & Dolph Ziggler vs. Kevin Owens & Tyler Breeze

All four men are already at ringisde when we return from break in an un-promoted match. Way to sell your top talent. We get a little bit of Owens vs. Ziggz, but Dolph tags in Ambrose. Owens wants no part of Dean and he tags in Breeze. We ends up with Ziggler and Breeze somehow. Ziggler controls first, but Breeze lands a big kick and the heels take control. Owens with a running senton on Dolph for two. The heels control but this match is rushed and Dean and Breeze get the hot tag. Tyler knocked outside and Dean dives out onto him. Back inside, Dean with a neckbreaker and a top rope dropkick. Owens distracts Dean so Breeze can roll him up for 2. Ambrose rebounds back with a nasty clothesline. Ziggler superkicks Owens to keep him out of the match. Tyler is up and tries for the Killswitch/Unprettier, but Dean reverses it into Dirty Deeds and gets the win in 5:27.

— Commercial Break —

– FOR SOME REASON, we get a prerecorded backstage “comedy” segment where JBL and Torito are arguing about what type of food to eat, Tex or Mex… Seriously… Mark Henry interrupts and has a day dream where Torito comes out to the ring dressed as JBL…. I AM NOT SHITTING YOU… When Mark Henry wakes up he’s being offered a Tex-Mex Burger from Carl Jrs./Hardees. WOW… the story of the night.

7. Roman Reigns vs. Rusev (w/Sheamus)

Rusev grounds Reigns down early. Reigns comes back with a slew of offense and some near falls. Rusev eventually roills to the floor but Reigns sends him flying into the barricade. Reigns is PISSED as he confronts Sheamus sitting ringside. We head to break.

Back from break, which means this show is finally almost over! Rusev has the chinlock applied. Reigns escapes, but Rusev maintains control and applies another neck vice. Reigns again breaks free and goes off the ropes but is tripped up by Sheamus… The referee then EJECTS SHEAMUS from ringside.

Samoan Drop by Reigns on Rusev. Both men back to their feet trade blows. Reigns gets the better of it and starts landing all of his clothesline spots. After 11 clotheslines, Reigns finally runs into a spin kick from Rusev for a near fall. Both men go to the top, Reigns tries a superplex but is knocked off. Rusev with a DIVING HEADBUTT. 1………….2…………SuperRoman kicks out.

Rusev tries for the Accolade but Roman blocks it. Rusev sets up for the running savate kick, but runs right into the SUPERMAN PUNCH. 1………2………..Rusev kicks out.

Reigns now does his version of Hulking Up…. Rusev rolls outside to dodge the spear… Reigns follows him out and charges with a spear, but Roman runs right into the SAVATE KICK ON THE FLOOR!!!!!

Rusev whips Reigns into the barricade and rolls him back inside. Reigns is somehow up almost immediately and he catches Rusev on the apron with a series of knees and kicks and a SUPERMAN PUNCH sends Rusev off the apron to the floor… Rusev ready to beat the count at 8 when Reigns lands the DRIVE BY kick. Rusev is OUT on the floor when out of nowhere… KING BARRETT WITH A BULL HAMMER ON REIGNS draws the DQ after 20:00… Another great payoff…

Barrett grabs a chair, AND YET SOMEHOW REIGNS IS STILL UP FIRST and grabs the chair. Reigns beats down Barrett with the chair, Rusev with the chair, and then Sheamus with the chair… Superman Reigns everyone.

Anyway… Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

The match will be a traditional Survivor Series elimination match. One team consists of The Miz, Bo Dallas, Stardust and The Ascension. The other team features Neville, Titus O’Neil, The Dudley Boyz and the returning Goldust.

The match comes down to a four-on-one situation with Stardust alone against Titus O’Neil, Goldust and The Dudley Boyz. Eventually, The Dudleyz hit a 3D on him for the final elimination.

Sole Survivors: Titus O’Neil, Goldust & The Dudley Boyz

WWE Survivor Series PPV Opener:

The 2015 WWE Survivor Series pay-per-view, which emanates from Philips Arena in Atlanta, Georgia for the first-time in its’ 29-year history, kicks off with the usual bad ass, elaborate video package. The package focuses primarily on the history of Survivor Series, The Undertaker’s 25th anniversary and the WWE World Heavyweight Title tournament.

WWE World Heavyweight Title Tournament Semi-Finals
– Roman Reigns vs. Alberto Del Rio

We go straight into the arena where Michael Cole welcomes us to the show on commentary as we take a look around the arena. From there, Roman Reigns’ music hits and out he comes through the crowd as usual. As his opponent, Alberto Del Rio makes his way to the ring, we see a pre-taped interview from Zeb Colter promising Del Rio will become the next champion.

The bell sounds and here we go with our first match of the evening. The two lock up and here we go with our first tournament semi-final of the evening. Early on, Reigns seems to be in control of the action, with Del Rio getting in some offense here and there and staying strong.

Eventually, Del Rio takes over control of the offense and he focuses his attack on Reigns’ shoulder. We see a shot of Triple H watching on from backstage and a shot of the vacant WWE World Heavyweight Championship at ringside.

Out of nowhere, Reigns fires up and blasts Del Rio with a Superman Punch. He doesn’t get the three count, however, and moments later Del Rio reveals that he faked a leg buckling spot earlier and levels Reigns for a close nearfall.

A few moments later, Reigns and Del Rio are both down and out of the blue, Del Rio locks Reigns in the Cross Armbreaker. Reigns fights it for a while and then muscles Del Rio up and carries him into the corner but Del Rio holds onto the submission while laid up in the ropes.

Seconds later, after Reigns finally gets free from Del Rio’s finisher, he nails Reigns with a spear and covers him. 1-2-3. Roman Reigns advances to the finals of the WWE World Heavyweight Title tournament.

Backstage, JoJo is with Reigns immediately after his semi-final victory. In comes Dean Ambrose. Ambrose congratulates Reigns and then Reigns tells him to go win his semi-final match so they can duke it out in the finals like they planned. When he leaves, in comes WWE Intercontinental Champion Kevin Owens.

Owens tells Reigns that he’s come close to the title before, but Seth Rollins stopped him. He said he came close to becoming Mr. Money In The Bank as well, but Bray Wyatt stopped him. He said tonight, he’s gonna be the man to stop Reigns.\

WWE World Heavyweight Title Tournament Semi-Finals
– Dean Ambrose vs. Kevin Owens

From there we head back inside the arena. Dean Ambrose’s music hits and the fans in Atlanta give him a great reaction. He makes his way to the ring as it’s time for our second WWE Title Tournament semi-final match of the evening. Out next comes the I-C champ, Kevin Owens.

The bell sounds and it’s time to find out who will be standing across the ring from Roman Reigns in the finals of the WWE World Heavyweight Championship tournament later this evening.

Early on, Owens dominates Ambrose, almost with ease. He dominates the action for the beginning portion of the match and talks trash almost the entire time. He even dropped a “Chinlock City” reference.

Ambrose starts to finally show some signs of life and starts getting in some offense. Then, out of nowhere, Ambrose nails Owens with Dirty Deeds and covers him. 1-2-3. Ambrose advances to the finals of the WWE Title Tournament later this evening, where he will meet his “brother” Roman Reigns to determine the next WWE World Heavyweight Champion.

Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Match
– Ryback, Kalisto, Sin Cara, Jey Uso & Jimmy Uso vs. Big E., Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods, King Barrett & Sheamus

We find out when we return to the ring that our next match of the evening will be the traditional five-on-five Survivor Series elimination match. Out for the first team first is Ryback. His partners, The Lucha Dragons (Kalisto & Sin Cara) and The Usos (Jimmy Uso & Jey Uso) make their way out next.

Their opponents come out next, starting with The New Day (Big E., Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods). Their partners are King Barrett and Sheamus. The New Day cuts a promo on the way out to the ring, putting down their opponents and the city of Atlanta and putting over themselves and their two partners for tonight.

They gave this match a good bit of time and The New Day was in rare form from beginning to end. They end up being the first three eliminated. Barrett was eliminated as well. On the babyface side, Jey Uso and Sin Cara were eliminated, as it was even up until 3 on 3, and then the babyface side went on a 3-0 run to win and “survive.” The final elimination came when Ryback hit Shellshocked on Sheamus for the 1-2-3.

Sole Survivors: Ryback, Kalisto & Jimmy Uso

WWE Divas Championship
– Paige vs. Charlotte

After our traditional five-on-five Survivor Series elimination match, the video package airs for the WWE Divas Championship match between Paige and Charlotte. Michael Cole puts over the “controversial talk” heading into this match.

Out first comes the challenger, Paige. Her opponent, current WWE Divas Champion Charlotte, is out next. These two go at it straight from the word “go,” with Charlotte coming at Paige like a bat out of hell. Paige starts to mount some offense but then Charlotte completely takes over.

The WWE Divas Champion goes for the Figure-8, but settles for the Figure Four Leglock when Paige defended. Charlotte tightens up the Figure Four more and more and refuses to release the hold, even when Paige tries crawling out of the ring, Charlotte keeps a hold of the submission from inside the ring while Paige lays on the floor outside the ring.

Finally, Paige gets free and after slamming Charlotte into the ring post, it’s Paige’s turn to show her mean streak as she takes it to Charlotte. Paige controls the action for a few minutes until Charlotte cuts her off with a spear. She ends up getting Paige in the Figure Eight a few moments later and Paige has no choice but to tap out.

Winner and STILL WWE Divas Champion: Charlotte

Backstage: Dean Ambrose & Roman Reigns

Backstage, Dean Ambrose is briefly interviewed about advancing to the finals of the WWE title tournament and having to fight his “brother” to win the gold. Ambrose says there’s time for him to be an entertainer and time for him to be a fighter. He says tonight, he’s a fighter and he’s going to fight his brother. In walks Reigns. He says normally he’d give his bro a big hug but he knows tonight isn’t the time for that. Reigns and Ambrose give each other daps and then Ambrose stares Reigns down a bit as he goes to walk away.

Tyler Breeze (with Summer Rae) vs. Dolph Ziggler

The video package rolls for the Tyler Breeze vs. Dolph Ziggler feud. Each guy makes their way to the ring, Breeze accompanied by Summer Rae, and it’s time for singles action here at Survivor Series.

The bell sounds and here we go. Breeze takes it to Ziggler early on as the announcers put over Breeze and his many catchphrases and “character history” type stuff. Eventually Ziggler turns the tide by catching Ziggler coming off the top rope with a big dropkick.

Ziggler takes over control of the offense in the match now. He tries to finish off Breeze with a super kick, but Breeze catches it. Breeze takes out the knee of Ziggler and then blasts him with the Unprettier for the 1-2-3. Breeze wins his Survivor Series debut.

Winner: Tyler Breeze

Bray Wyatt & Luke Harper vs. The Undertaker & Kane

After an elaborate video package on The Undertaker’s debut, 25th anniversary and his current feud alongside Kane against The Wyatt Family, we head back into the arena and shoot to the ring.

The Wyatt Family theme plays and out comes all four members led by Bray. They all stand in the ring and wait for The Brothers Of Destruction as the announcers speculate as to which two members will represent the Wyatt Family.

From there, Kane’s music hits and out he comes by himself. Kane waits in the aisle now as the lights go out and the gong hits. The gong hits again. The fans are going nuts. The Dead Man’s music hits and immediately we get a classic Undertaker entrance, as they’ve got the stage all decked out, Undertaker-style. His entrance stops for a moment as Kane raises his hands and yanks them down, fire explodes on the stage and The Dead Man starts his walk to the ring. The fans are going nuts for The Undertaker.

Finally, The Brothers of Destruction hit the ring like two monsters and The Wyatt Family stays on the floor. Erick Rowan angrily hits the ring by himself and gets double-booted in the face for his efforts. Undertaker and Kane double chokeslam him and he leaves not only the ring but the arena. Finally, we see that it will be Luke Harper and Bray Wyatt representing The Wyatt Family.

Kane and Harper kick things off for their respective teams. Kane quickly gains the upper hand and then The Dead Man tags in and the house explodes. The fans chant “Under-Taker! Under-Taker!” and eventually, “You Still Got It! You Still Got It!” Undertaker hits his vintage “Old School” move off the top rope. Meanwhile, Braun Strowman, who isn’t legally in the match but remained at ringside, attacks Kane from behind and rag dolls him over the announce table. We lose commentary briefly as Michael Cole, JBL and Jerry Lawler were knocked out of their seats during that spot.

Bray, now the legal man, gets Kane, the other legal man, in the ring and takes advantage of the upper-hand that Strowman just gave him. Wyatt takes it to Kane, taunting Undertaker in the process until Kane DDT’s him to slow him down. Both guys make the tags to their respective partners.

With Bray down in the ring, Undertaker is knocked over the top, but in vintage Undertaker fashion, he lands on his feet. Taker and Kane go over to Strowman and they double chokeslam him through the announce table. The fans erupt and chant and cheer for The Brothers Of Destruction.

As soon as Undertaker gets back in the ring, Wyatt hits him with Sister Abigail. Harper then takes out Kane with a clothesline.

Both Taker and Kane are down but in vintage fashion, they both sit up at the same time. The Brothers Of Destruction take out Wyatt and Harper and then Taker hits a Tombstone Piledriver on Wyatt for good measure. He covers him and gets the 1-2-3. The crowd couldn’t be giving Undertaker more love than they did tonight. Atlanta definitely came out to see “The Dead Man” tonight.

Winners: The Undertaker & Kane

WWE World Heavyweight Title Tournament Finals
– Roman Reigns vs. Dean Ambrose

After making a bunch of WWE Network announcements, Roman Reigns’ music hits inside Philips Arena, as it’s time for the finals of the WWE World Heavyweight Title Tournament — Roman Reigns vs. Dean Ambrose.

Out next is Reigns’ opponent for tonight and former Shield member, “The Lunatic Fringe” Dean Ambrose. The fans are clearly going to be an “Ambrose crowd” tonight in Atlanta.

The bell sounds to make this one official. The fans immediately chant for Ambrose and the two immediately go at each other with a vengeance, as promised. The fans start chanting “Ro-Man Sucks! Ro-Man Sucks!” to the tune of “New-Day Sucks!”

Reigns cuts Ambrose off early and starts big-guy’ing him a bit, but it isn’t long before Ambrose takes over control of the offense. Ambrose starts to focus his attack on the arm of Reigns, which the announcers point out was worked over by Cesaro last week and Alberto Del Rio earlier tonight in the semi-finals.

Roman Reigns starts fighting back and he gains the upper hand after blasting Ambrose with a sit-out powerbomb. Ambrose and Reigns go to the top rope and Ambrose ends up powerbombing Reigns off. Reigns landed hard, too. Ambrose then goes for a flying cross-body onto Reigns off the top rope, but Reigns catches him coming down with a big Superman Punch.

Reigns stalks Ambrose and waits for him to get up. He goes for the regular Superman Punch, but Ambrose avoids it. Ambrose goes for Dirty Deeds, but Reigns avoids that. Reigns blasts Ambrose with a spear for a near fall. Both guys are down.

Reigns goes for another spear but Ambrose catches him coming in with a big shot. He then whips Reigns into the ring post inside the ring. Ambrose delivers his Dirty Deeds finisher and covers Reigns, but Reigns manages to kick out before the count of three. Both guys are down again.

Both guys get back to their feet, and this hot Atlanta crowd starts chanting “Yay!” and “Boo!” over and over as Reigns and Ambrose trade punches. “Yay!” for every Ambrose shot that lands and “Boo!” for every Reigns shot. Ambrose runs at Reigns but Reigns catches him coming in with a Spear. 1-2-3. Roman Reigns wins and is the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion.

Winner and NEW WWE World Heavyweight Champion: Roman Reigns

After The Match: Sheamus Cashes In

After the match, Roman Reigns gets emotional and the big celebration begins. Tons of confetti drops from the ceiling as Ambrose leaves the ring to Reigns to celebrate. Then, as Reigns was in the middle of what was becoming a lengthy post-match celebration, Triple H’s music hits.

The “King of Kings” makes his way to the ring clapping and smiling. He enters the ring and raises Reigns’ hand. Then he tries to shake Reigns’ hand but Reigns has none of it. He spears “The Game” as the fans pop.

Then, out of nowhere, Sheamus’ music hits and out comes “Mr. Money In The Bank” to cash in his briefcase. He blasts Reigns with a Brogue Kick as soon as Reigns turned around after spearing HHH. He immediately covers Reigns but Reigns kicks out. Reigns gets back to his feet, misses a Superman Punch and Sheamus hits him with another Brogue Kick. 1-2-3. Sheamus wins and is the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion.

Winner and NEW WWE World Heavyweight Champion: Sheamus

Update On The Potential ISIS Terror Threat At Sunday’s WWE Survivor Series Pay-Per-View

0

– WSB TV reporter Mark Winne from Atlanta has been tweeting updates on the potential Islamic State (IS, ISIS, ISIL, Daesh) attack on Sunday’s WWE Survivor Series pay-per-view. As noted, hacktivist group Anonymous revealed that the terror group had several targets for Sunday, with the only target in the United States being the WWE pay-per-view. The FBI issued a statement saying they were taking the threat seriously but they did not have specific or credible information of an attack.

Winn, who told one reader he would “probably” still go if he was a fan with tickets, says the feeling locally is that authorities got ahead of the threat but are not ignoring it. There was no active plot by any ISIS cell for an attack and the potential target list may have been put out there to inspire “lone-wolf” attackers. Here are some of Winn’s tweets:

* General impression: #atl #fbi & partners on top of #wwe situation early, careful to keep in context NOT exaggerate danger nor ignore @wsbtv

* Bottom line from #FBI statement no specific credible information of an attack @ #wwe event in #ATL @ this time @wsbtv

* Source suggests Isis info re #wwe event may simply be posting it as suggested target for lone wolf @wsbtv

* Source– no known active plot re #wwe event @wsbtv

We have, however, made the proper notifications as we continue to work closely with our law enforcement and private sector partners to keep our community safe.”
