Big Show Possibly Injured At WWE Live Event Today

Big Show may have suffered a knee injury at tonight’s WWE live event in Kalamazoo, Michigan, according to multiple correspondents.

Show and Dolph Ziggler teamed up to defeat Braun Strowman and Luke Harper and towards the end of the match, Show landed bad on his knee but did finish. After the bell, he raised his hand with Ziggler but was barely putting any weight on one leg. Show was also seen talking to Ziggler about the injury in the corner and both looked concerned. Show left the ring under the bottom rope and went straight up the ramp to the back while Ziggler celebrated with fans at ringside after the match.

It’s possible Show was just selling but both correspondents noted that it appeared to be more than that. We’ll update more when information comes in.

Ronda Rousey Reaction To Holly Holm Loss, UFC 196 Bonuses, Jose Aldo Taunts Conor McGregor

– Last night’s UFC 196 saw one of the most historic nights ever in mixed martial arts. One of the reasons was due to the outstanding performance by new UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Miesha Tate.

Tate has had a long rivalry with former champion Ronda Rousey, who was defeated by Holly Holm in November. On Fox’s UFC 196 post-show, the UFC President Dana White said Rousey won’t be back until October or November and didn’t watch the fight. When Rousey heard the news, she said it was ‘time to get back to work.’

– Nate Diaz’s huge UFC 196 payday got even bigger, as he earned $100,000 for two bonuses. Conor McGregor added $50,000 to his $1 million flat base pay for his part of Fight of the Night, and Miesha Tate $50,000 for Performance of the Night. Nate Diaz also made a $500,000 base with no win bonus for the fight.

– After McGregor’s stunning loss, his foe Jose Aldo challenged McGregor to fight at UFC 200, and trolled Conor.

Kalisto Defending The WWE United States Title At WrestleMania 32, Who He Won’t Be Facing

It was reported on the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio that Alberto Del Rio will not be facing WWE United States Champion Kalisto at WrestleMania 32. There had been some speculation about Del Rio getting another title shot after their feud continued on WWE TV after Fastlane.

It was also reported that Kalisto will defend the title at WrestleMania, apparently in a singles match. No word yet on who his opponent will be. We noted earlier that Ryback is booked in Triple Threats with Kalisto and Del Rio at upcoming WWE live events but we haven’t heard anything about Ryback possibly facing Kalisto at WrestleMania.

Sami Zayn At WWE Roadblock?, WrestleMania 32 Note

As noted, Sami Zayn is booked for the March 12th WWE Roadblock event from Toronto, which will air on the WWE Network.

There’s speculation within WWE that Sami may be appearing at Roadblock to set up a potential WrestleMania 32 match with WWE Intercontinental Champion Kevin Owens.

As noted, Sami is scheduled to wrestle at WrestleMania but there have also been reports of Owens defending his title in a multi-man match.

Shane McMahon Teaser For Monday’s WWE RAW

As noted, Shane McMahon will return to WWE RAW on tomorrow’s show from Chicago. WWE says Shane will have a response to Vince McMahon’s recent announcement about his inheritance. They posted this teaser for Shane’s return:

Now that his father, Mr. McMahon has publicly proclaimed that Shane’s inheritance is also on the line at WrestleMania, what’s going through the mind of WWE’s prodigal son? Four Injuries At Tonight’s WWE And NXT Live Events (Photos Included)

Emma suffered a stinger and may have been knocked out for a second after taking a kick to the head from Asuka in the opener of tonight’s WWE NXT live event in Cleveland. The match ended by referee stoppage and as seen below, Emma was checked on by officials:

There was another injury scare in Cleveland tonight as Tomasso Ciampa appeared to suffer a shoulder injury after taking The Shatter Machine from NXT Tag Team Champions “The Revival” Dash and Dawson. As seen below, officials tended to Ciampa and helped him to the back. He teamed with Johnny Gargano in that match but they did finish it.

Sheamus and WWE Divas Champion Charlotte were also busted open at tonight’s WWE live event in Minneapolis. We will keep you updated on everyone’s status.

Rhyno On Getting Into Politics, Vince McMahon’s Reaction, More

As noted, ECW Original Rhyno filed to run as a State Representative for his district in Dearborn, Michigan this week. Rhyno spoke to Alex Marvez of FOX Sports about his campaign and why he’s running. You can read the full interview at this link. Rhyno, who is running as a Republican, says he informed Vince McMahon of the decision backstage at a RAW event in December:

“I told Vince, ‘I hope I make you proud.’ He said, ‘You already have.’ He then followed up by saying if there was anything (WWE) can do to help to let them know. He didn’t ask what party I was running for or this and that. The McMahons’ love for their country is just contagious.”

Rhyno also said he’s not backing WWE Hall of Famer Donald Trump in the 2016 presidential election, he’s backing Ohio governor John Kasich. He said:

“I’m not sold on Donald Trump. I think a lot of people might identify me in this race with Donald Trump as a gimmick and this and that. No. Helping people out is a passion of mine. I like Kasich because I think he will reach across the (partisan) aisle and work to get stuff done with give-and-take to make things happen to help people.”

Rhyno says he will be running on a platform that includes improving teacher salaries, road construction and more government accountability with tax dollars. He admitted his campaign, which will be online soon at TerranceGuidoGerin.com, will be grassroots and will rely on volunteers. He says he’s proud of his wrestling accomplishments but won’t be surprised if his opponents try to use it against him:

“I don’t think it will hurt me at all. I think candidates that run against me will try to make fun of it to discredit me so they can win the election, which is understandable. But I want to go out and discuss how we can make this state better, how we can make people’s lives easier and educate the kids.”
