This evening’s extravaganza begins with the signature packages of bombastic flash including a recap of Sami Zayn’s rivalry with Adrian Neville and his quest for NXT gold. Then Tyler Breeze heads out to the ring.

Tyler Breeze vs. Sami Zayn
Zayn rocks out to the ring sporting a noteworthy shiner and he’s pretty pumped for this one. After the bell, both guys circle the ring and size up one another. Zayne lunges first and Breeze escapes. They lock up and grapple and Breeze quickly puts Zayn’s shoulders on the mat for a one-count. More grappling ensues and Breeze rolls Zayn up for a near fall. Breeze stays on the attack, getting the better of Zayn in some further grappling until Zayn speeds up the pace and hits a few moves on his opponent. Breeze slows him down and works Sami into the corner, peppering him with kicks to the guy. Tyler pulls him to the center and tries for another cover but he still cant put Sami away. Breeze puts Sami on the mat and moves to a choke as he looks for a submission, Zayn gets back up and turns things around briefly but he meets overwhelming resistance from Breeze as NXT takes a commercial break.

After the break, Breeze remains in control, keeping Zayn grounded on the canvas. Sami fights his way out of the hold but can’t mount a comeback because Tyler manages to stay one step ahead of him. Breeze returns to the mat looking for a submission and Sami works out of it again, this time getting fired up and gathering momentum. Tyler hits a neckbreaker that puts Zayn down for a stretch and when he gets back up, he tries to go up top but he’s thwarted by Breeze again. Zayn eventually ascends the top and jumps off at Breeze but Tyler stops him with a dropkick. Breeze covers but Zayn kicks out again. Zayn mounts another comeback with a stunning series of counters and reversals, punctuated by a huge superkick from Breeze. Zayn kicks out once more and Breeze looks to finish him in the corner. Zayn surges back, though, catching Breeze with a big slam and a Helluva Kick, covering him for the win.

Result: Sami Zayn defeats Tyler Breeze

Backstage, Renee talks to Adrian Neville who is not impressed with Sami Zayn’s progress on the much-touted “road to redemption.” Let’s go back to ringside.

Dash Wilder vs. Tyson Kidd
The guys lock up as the crowd chant’s “Natty’s husband” at Kidd. Kidd’s attack is especially aggressive as he beats down Wilder in the corner, flips his neck into the bottom rope, and then returns Wilder to the middle of the ring for more punishment. Kidd puts Wilder on the mat for a modified clutch and although Dash powers out, Kidd just puts him back down for a chin lock. Kidd breaks his own hild with a knee to the midsection. Wilder barrels back with some offense of his own, including a nice powerslam but Kidd gets back on top quickly and locks in the sharpshooter, prompting Dash to tap out.

Result: Tyson Kidd defeats Dash Wilder via submission.

We head backstage again and Sami Zayne tells Renee that he feels like The Count of Monte Cristo.

Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch vs. Charlotte and Bayley
Bayley and Becky start off and Bayley tries for an early advantage. Becky delivers enough shots to keep her opponent in check but once Banks tags in Bayley takes over again. She tags in Charlotte and Sasha retreats to tag in Becky. Charlotte proceeds to dominate Lynch in almost every respect. Che tries to get Lynch to tag in Sasha but Sasha lays low until she can slow Charlotte down by grabbing her hair from the outside. She tags in long enough to take a few shots but before long, Lynch is back in as the legal woman. Charlotte tags in Bayley who lands some good shots on Lynch until Becky fires back and puts Bayley on the defensive. Sasha tags in as Charlotte seethes in her corner. Sasha gets a near fall on Bayley and then taunts Charlotte as she grinds Bayley with a headscissors. She tags Lynch in again who works Bayley over for a short spell. Banks comes back in and tries to put Bayley away but Bayley counters and after some back and forth, both women end up crawling on the canvas. Bayley tries to get the tag and Sasha takes out Charlotte with a shot. Bayley tries to roll Sasha up for the win but Sasha reverses it and holds on for a pinfall, gaining leverage by grabbing a handful of tights.

Result: Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch defeat Charlotte and Bayley via pinfall.

Backstage, Renee talks to William Regal who announces that Sami Zayn will get a shot at Adrian Neville’s NXT title on next week’s show.

Back in the ring, The Ascension hits the ramp. They’re here to call out Hideo Itami. Konnor and Victor talk briefly, saying they’re ready to finish what they’ve started and they yield the floor to await Itami’s arrival. Hideo walks out to the stage, pauses and then welcomes Finn Balor as his partner. They storm the ring and attack the Ascension, taking both guys down, Balor hits Konnor on the outside with a double-foot stomp and then he takes Viktor down. To be sure, Hideo is involved in the fray as well but this is Balor’s moment. After laying waste to the Ascension, both guys take in accolades from the live crowd as the show fades to black.
