Treatment by the WWE:

It is what it is at the end of the day. To me, when it’s what you do for work and after a year the company says, well we aren’t going to pay you $70, 000 a year we are going to pay you $10,000 a year. I don’t believe life is fair at all but it’s not respectful and it is very dishonest. I don’t have any respect for them.

The Kurt Angle Incident:

I was really mentally prepared for that sort of thing. One of my coaches, was one of the guys that lost to Kurt Angle on his way to the 96 Olympics. He basically had taught me a bunch back in the day so I figured that Kurt can’t be that much tougher then him. When I tested it out and with their rules when I went into the ring there was no striking. Kurt just admitted it that I did have him. It’s interesting to see that people say that it’s not true but Kurt Angle himself says 8-10 years later that “Puder had me”. I just wanted to win. Would I have broken his arm? It was as tight as it could go without coming off.

The presentation of the $1,000,000 Tough Enough:

I loved the format. About the fifth week in they told us we could talk smack about who you were going to vote off and there were a few people that were saying we have to vote Puder off. I didn’t know who I wanted to vote off but they made me say one person and I knew what they were doing. If they were doing that to me then I knew that they were doing it to everyone else. Because I was so close with Dave Meltzer I was on the phone with him for probably an hour a day on average. We went over promos, what to address, how to dress and what to do. So I gave it my all.

Did he see the Miz or Ryback becoming the stars they are today:

All of them had a lot of potential. They narrowed it down from 10,000 down to 50 and out of 50 they had them all at a tryout to get a top 8. They all had skills and had potential. None of them have values. Four of them said they didn’t drink and they were all drunk and plastered cheating on their wives or girlfriends within the first couple of weeks. Can they wrestle? Sure. Can they build a wrestling career? Sure. Are they unique individuals? Sure. But it is what it is.

His appearance in the 2005 Royal Rumble:

They were trying to teach me a lesson. And that’s the challenge. In the world of MMA you might have a theory about how you train, because you train smart and you are training to not hurt each other. In that whole experience right away they pounded on me. That just showed me that if they (WWE)wanted to they could have actually built me and I would have been very loyal to them.

Daniel Puder also discusses in great detail his return to the ring, his MMA career, his relationship with Dave Meltzer, his time in Ring of Honor, bullying, My Life My Power and much more

Bret Hart Says Daniel Bryan Will Never Wrestle Again; Talks Roman Reigns Not Getting Over, Rollins

WWE Hall of Famer Bret “The Hitman” Hart spoke with Sports Illustrated recently and revealed that he doesn’t see Daniel Bryan ever wrestling again. Hart opened up about several other topics, including Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins. You can read the highlights below:

Daniel Bryan being done in WWE:

“Daniel Bryan is finished. He’ll never wrestle again. I don’t think he knows it yet. I feel terrible about Daniel Bryan. For all intents and purposes, he had the exact same thing happen to him that happened to me after Bill Goldberg kicked me in the head. One day, you learn it’s over. Doctors tell you that you can’t wrestle and you’ll never wrestle again. I lost millions of dollars because of that. I pray that it’s not the same for Daniel Bryan.”

His feelings on Seth Rollins:

“Seth Rollins is one of the hardest working wrestlers I’ve ever seen. He’s one of those rare guys in the industry today who is an innovator and a guy who creates new ideas, moves, and psychology. I know I got really excited about wrestling again after watching CM Punk and Daniel Bryan, but now neither one of those guys is around, and Seth Rollins is going to carry the company. His timing is impeccable and he does a lot of challenging, creative, complex stuff.”

Roman Reigns not getting over:

“It was so manufactured that it hurt someone who was naturally getting over on his own. As soon as the company decided they were going to make him the star, people started to sour on him. Roman Reigns is a really good wrestler and he’ll find his path. He turned the corner at WrestleMania when the fans accepted him on his own merit just ’cause he had a great match. But, in the creation of Roman Reigns, he seems to now be a lot like Triple H’s character. Long hair, indestructible, no facials, he’s always angry, and there’s no softness in his eyes, so it’s very hard to get sympathy. All of that was poorly thought out.

Hart also goes on to criticize WWE’s creative team, as well as offering some final words for Dusty Rhodes. You can read the full Sports Illustrated interview at this link.

CM Punk Possibly Pushing Back UFC Fight, Dana White On Punk’s Debut, More Punk News

0

– FOX Sports has an article here about CM Punk appearing at the Chicago Blackhawks’ Stanley Cup parade yesterday. They noted that he appeared to have had a blast at the event.

– FOX Sports also posted an article about Punk appearing on the Anik and Florian podcast and talking about possibly delaying his UFC debut, that we mentioned earlier this week.

“I’m learning a lot every day. I hear people saying training for a fight is harder than the actual fight,” Punk said. “If that’s true, then once I step in the Octagon, I will have no problem whatsoever. … I know Duke has told me, and I think he’s been public with it, that he would like me for a full 12 months before he’d sign off on me fighting.

“I think a lot of people are antsy. There’s people on Twitter saying, ‘Oh, you’re never gonna fight.’ This was just announced in what, November, December? I’ve been training full time for like six months. As bad as I have the itch to get in there, I want to be as prepared as possible. I wouldn’t be upset if it got pushed to 2016.”

– Yet another story from FOX Sports at this link about CM Punk and UFC President Dana White commenting on his debut during a Periscope Q&A session today. White said that Punk will make his UFC debut when he’s ready.

“CM Punk is training hard, he’s getting a lot of respect from fighters and trainers in the business,” White said. “He’s going to let me know when he’s ready.”

– In the final bit of Punk news, he confirmed on Twitter that he will be at UFC Fight Week next month:

Sami Zayn also cut a promo at last night’s tapings and called 2014 the best year of his career but said he will be out of action for the rest of 2015. Zayn promised to come back to win the NXT Title and get revenge on Owens, saying he will be back better than ever.

Rock Reveals Big WWE Match That Didn’t Happen, Suffering Wardrobe Malfunction During Match

0

The Rock appeared on The Dan Patrick Show to promote the premiere of Ballers on HBO this Sunday. During the interview, The Rock talked about playing with Warren Sapp at Miami, and Sapp taking his spot on the team.

“He looked at me and said, I gotta tell you man, I’m taking your spot,” Rock recalled. “I said you ain’t taking my spot. And then about six months later he took my spot.”

Rock was also asked if Sapp or Ray Lewis would have made a better pro wrestler. Rock revealed that there were plans for Lewis to wrestle during the Attitude Era. He said that WWE was really close to booking a big tag team match pitting Lewis and himself at WrestleMania against “whoever the top heels at the time – probably Triple H and someone else.” He said that the match was very close to happening, but fell through due to scheduling.

Rock also talked about suffering a wardrobe malfunction during his first match. He said that in his first WWE match he borrowed trunks from King Tonga, and noted that Tonga’s trunks were a lot bigger than his waist and “there was a little bit of a malfunction” with things popping out.

Twin Brothers Don’t Show Up For Second Day Of Recent WWE Tryouts At The Performance Center

0

Source: Wrestling Observer Newsletter

Indie wrestlers Dustin and Derek Mehl, who are twin brothers that work as the Suburban Commandos in California and Nevada, worked day 1 of the recent WWE tryouts at the Performance Center in Orlando but did not return for day 2. Apparently day 2 was the hardest of the week because it was cardio day.

There were a lot of wrestlers upset because WWE pays for transportation and lodging when talents are brought in for tryout camps and most of the talents working the camp knew other wrestlers who would have done anything to be there. Dustin and Derek, who have worked for Hoodslam recently, were seen as two guys who blew the camp off after one day and took spots away from others.

– WWE’s Tough Enough Twitter posted a video of WWE Senior Director of Talent telling war hero Mike Hayes that he’ll have an opportunity to return to the Performance Center whenever he feels his body is ready for the task.
