The WWE Raw Report 11/02/15 – 5 On 5 Match Of Survival

WWE Raw Pre-Show Notes 11/2/15

AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW, DON’T YOU DARE BE SOUR!!!!!! The Raw Report is back for another 3 hours… It’s a new MonDAY. Yes it is!

– Lots of time wasted by Stanford, Otunga & Graves as they talk Halloween costumes and other unimportant type things. This leads us into the announcement of a Divas Fatal 4 Way for tonight. It’s Sasha, Brie, Becky Lynch & Paige, winner gets a title shot against Charlotte, presumably at Survivor Series.

– So Roman Reigns gets sucked back into the WWE Title picture. Again, it will crumble IMO because they insisted on fast tracking Reigns and not letting him organically take over the top spot, which I feel he could have on his own had he not been shoved down everyone’s throats. So yeah, Reigns beat half the locker room last week and gets a title shot at Rollins, again presumably at Survivor Series.

– We go backstage on Raw. The Miz tries to hire Cesaro to join his “organization”. Cesaro talks about wrestling, Miz says he doesn’t wrestle, he sports entertains… lol. Cesaro challenges Miz and his “infinity scarf” to a match tonight and says maybe he will swing Miz “infinity times” in the Swing… Yikes! This promo was short but fun for what it was.

– I assume WWE’s “PG” rating ends at religion because tonight we’re also going to hear from the Wyatts to find out the latest whereabouts on the SOULS of Kane and the Undertaker. Stanford then wonders if Bray truly CONSUMED THEIR SOULS…. Graves thinks it’s figuratively speaking, but Stanford seems to ponder if Bray truly ate their souls… Corey just stops speaking with this smirk on his face, like WTF… Seriously Stanford WTF…. Holy Jesus. Corey hopes the Wyatts consume Stanford’s soul.

– This show is such a clusterf*ck train wreck with Stanford sounding like an idiot and everyone else trying to upstage one another. I will not be shocked when Stanford gets the boot.

– Did You Know… Alberto Del Rio returned, won the U.S. Title and renamed it the Mex-American Championship. Yeah, that’ll get over. ADR beat Neville last week on Raw, and Truth on Smackdown. I’m still scratching my head who thinks this new “gimmick”, whatever it is, is a great idea. This has Vince written all over it.

– So last week Paige turned on Charlotte and Becky… AGAIN. Apparently that was a big shock to somebody on the writing staff. Tonight it’s Sasha, Brie, Becky Lynch & Paige, winner gets a title shot against Charlotte at Survivor Series.

WWE Raw Report 11/2/15 from the Pepsi Center in Denver, CO

Roman Reigns / Seth Rollins / The Authority Promo Segment

– Oh dear God, Roman Reigns coming out for a promo. I hope this is short… Whew, and it is… Reigns speaks for a minute about becoming the next champ when he’s cut off by Seth Rollins. That doesn’t make this segment a whole lot better, but it’s better than listening to Roman bomb another promo.

Seth stands on the ramp and talks about stealing the WWE Title from Reigns by cashing in and beating Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania. He puts himself over and pisses Reigns off. Roman calls Seth out, and Rollins starts his way towards the ring when hes cut off by…

The Authority… Good old Trips and Boobs McGhee are out. They tease making the WWE Title match tonight tonight, and then announce it… for Survivor Series… They laugh it off like they tricked the fans, but the fans didn’t really pop all that loud for it. They didn’t really take the bite. If this “trick” hadn’t been played out, maybe the crowd would have been fooled. Instead we get a 5 on 5 Survivor Series elimination match TONIGHT, Reigns picks his team, Rollins picks his. So we’re getting an elimination match two weeks BEFORE Survivor Series… Yeah, that makes sense.

This opening segment was much shorter than usual… Thankfully.

— Commercial Break —

1. IC Champion Kevin Owens vs. Dolph Ziggler

Insert promo in the corner of the screen as Owens makes his way to ringside. He doesn’t like people. What a heel. Owens goes right after the “injured leg” of Ziggler. Apparently Tyler Breeze injured Dolph’s leg on Smackdown, I’d have no idea because I don’t watch it. Maybe that’ll change when it comes to USA. Owens just pounds the crap out of Dolph’s leg until the ref has to ask Ziggles if he’s going to continue. Zigglesworth continues the match, big shocker, and tries to make a miracularous comeback and spikes Owens with a DDT. Owens rolls to the floor as Tyler Breeze and Summer Rae make their way out… In one cool bit of production, you can actually watch Breeze’s selfie video on the titan tron as he walks to the ring. That’s clever… Anyway Breeze on his way down to ringside, Owens selling a DDT outside, and Ziggler looks unhappy that Breezey is on his way out and that all leads to commercial break.

Back from break, apparently Owens has controlled the entire break due to Breeze’s distraction. We see a clip of Owens with a Fall Away Slam into the barricade on Ziggleworm during the break. Extended chinlock by Owens. Breeze & Summer are in their “VIP” area at ringside. Dolph finally escapes with a jawbreaker and starts hitting his signature stuff, clotheslines, beckbreaker, elbow, only gets him 2. Ziggler tries to continue on offense but Owens lands a nice release German Suplex… Owens goes for the corner Cannonball but runs into a SUPERKICK from Ziggler that gets 2. Breeze causes a distraction and Ziggler turns right into the Pop Up Powerbomb for the finish. Owens wins in 11:00 even, as if they were given a time limit or something.

Breeze & Summer continue to take selfies after the match. Breeze kneels down next to Dolph and takes more selfies. Dolph plants Breeze with a right hand to the jaw, but Tyler comes back with the “Beauty Shot” kick. More Summer & Breeze selfies kneeling over Ziggler. The selfie is even shown on the titan tron. Hah, clever again.

Crowd is pretty dead for Breeze.

– We take a trip back to the original 1987 Survivor Series with highlights of the Macho Man vs. Honky Tonk Man 10-man match. Good old Honky doesn’t even job on PPV, walking out on the finish. A true politician. This is here to hype the big Ten Man Survival Match set for…… tonight’s Raw! Makes sense, right?!

— Commercial Break —

– You knew it was coming. The guys start to recruit their teams… Seth Rollins stops Kevin Owens and tries to talk him into joining his team. Seth seemingly hypes a potential title shot against Owens at WrestleMania… Pretty sure Royal Rumble determines that. Owens agrees to join Rollins’ team but tells Seth that he owes him.

– Wo go back to last week when Paige turned on her buddies… Even though she had already turned on them several weeks prior. They hype the Fatal 4 Way.

– Renee Young interviews Becky Lynch. They do a little exchange that was supposed to be funny, but it wasn’t. She rips on Paige. Brie Bella interrupts and the two exchange words for like 10 seconds. Junk

– Cesaro on his way to the ring to face the Miz, next.

— Commercial Break —

2. Cesaro vs. The Miz

Okay, let’s see if Cesaro loses THIS match. Stardust & the Ascension are in the crowd with “Stardust section” signs to compete against the Cesaro section signs. Miz grabs an wrist lock and Cesaro proceeds to flip, roll, and do FOUR nip ups before he escapes. Crowd pops for him. Cesaro with a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker and then follows with a pair of running uppercuts in the corner before Miz rolls outside. Miz takes over by dragging Cesaro into the post and onto the floor as Stardust watches on with a PARA-SCOPE. Miz hooks a chinlock of fun. Cesaro break but Miz with a clothesline in the corner and then he oversells a top rope double axe handle, lol. Cesaro comes back. Cesaro Swing!!!!!! Something like TWENTY-TWO REVOLUTIONS!!!! and then right into the Sharp Shooter for the near squash win in 4:50.

– Up next, we found out if it’s true that Bray Wyatt has eaten the souls of Kane and the Undertaker. I can’t believe I am writing this. lol

— Commercial Break —

Wyatt Family Promo – Bray Talks The Undertaker & Kane

Bray has consumed their souls. He has become the higher power. Tonight Bray and his Family have “successfully harvested the souls of the Undertaker and Demon Kane”. The power has become inconceivable, Bray makes it thunder, he makes it lightning, he makes Kane’s pyro explode. Bray creates an Undertaker thunder storm in the arena. Wyatt now plans to burn our world straight to hell. How evil. Wyatt mocks the Undertaker’s kneeling stance and causes more lightning and variety of colorful pyro. Well, that’s…not…scary….

We then see a video of the dominance the Undertaker and Kane have laid down together over the last 18 years together as the Brothers of Destruction. Then the video disappears via a whirlpool effect and apparently gets consumed by the eater of worlds… or some shit…. Wyatt laughs and tells us to follow the buzzards.

This MIGHT give Bray some type of rub if they weren’t advertising the shit out of the Undertaker being a part of Survivor Series.

End segment.

— Commercial Break —

– We get a Lucha Dragons video for some reason.

3. The Lucha Dragons vs. Sheamus & King Barrett

How odd is it that Sheamus has the MITB briefcase and gets thrown into a tag team with jobber Barrett? I honestly don’t know why this guy gets pushed to the main event. Sheamus dominates little Kalisto. Barrett joins in on the fun. Cara & Kalisto come back with some double team flippy stuff. But it’s not long before Barrett plasters Kalisto into the barricade outside and somehow this match runs through a commercial break.

Back from break, the heels continue to kill the crowd… errr control the match. Kalisto finally manages a hot tag and Sin Cara goes nuts on both heels, laying Sheamus out and landing a suicide dive on Barrett. Cara drops Sheamus and goes to the top rope, but Barrett distracts and Cara gets knocked off the ropes and falls onto the knees of Sheamus, but Kalisto breaks up the cover! Barrett posts Cara outside the ring but can’t get the job done. The heels beat down on Cara now, nice and slow like. Everyone loves slow plodding beat downs. Cara tries to fight back but eats an Irish Curse backbreaker for 2. Wade and Sheamus continue to pummel on Cara for what seems like forever. Wow, were these guys told to stretch the match or what. BORING. Cara finally counters a suplex with a spike DDT and hot tags to little Kalisto. Kalisto comes in with a springboard seated senton on Barrett and the kneeling huracan driver. Sheamus comes in to stop, but Cara with a cross body takes he and Sheamus out of the ring, even though Cara gets stuck in the ropes, lol…. Barrett uses the distraction to set up for the BULL HAMMER, but Kalisto ducks and spins things into the Soleil Del Sol and he PINS Barrett. Lucha Dragons get the win in 13:17.

– Backstage, Jack Swagger confronts Zeb Colter. Wow, Swagger gets promo time, on RAW no less! Jack isn’t buying Zeb’s “Mex-America” story and says there’s something else to this. Colter says the two great countries need to become one. He’d invite Canada too but they’re too simpleminded. Jack still isn’t buying it, but Alberto Del Rio steps in and interrupts. ADR warns Swagger to leave Zeb alone or Del Rio will do something about it. Zeb and ADR leave together while Swagger is left to ponder.

— Commercial Break —

– Well you know you’ve made it when you no longer work for the company but they start congratulating you… Batista gets congrats for the James Bond film.

4. U.S. Champion Mex-American Champion Alberto Del Rio vs. R-Truth

Wow R-Truth AND Jack Swagger on Raw… So we get a repeat squash from Smackdown I guess. My oldest son, who doesn’t really keep up with wrestling all that much, looks at the screen as he passes through the room, he sees R-Truth in the ring, and he says “Oh this is one of those jobber matches, huh?”…. Even he knows. Truth with his kicks and scissor kick gets a 2 count, but Del Rio recovers with a running Enzuigiri and a back suplex to take over. ADR ties Truth in the tree of woe and hits the top rope DOUBLE STOMP to finish this thing in 3:30.

– So we’re less than an hour away from the ten man main event and so far we know THREE of TEN guys involved. Just sayin.

— Commercial Break —

– The New Day stop Seth Rollins backstage. Seth doesn’t look too excited about it, but he adds them to his team under the condition that they listen to him. New Day use their unicorn power to think of a 5th member of the team… A trombone plays as Xavier Woods returns! Woods returns to join team Rollins as a 5 man team for tonight’s main event. They start singing and dancing “Team Rollins”, Seth even joins in for a moment…

– Sasha Banks in the back getting ready for her big match. Jojo interrupts for an interview. It’s acknowledged that the fans have been chanting for Sasha for weeks and now she has to deliver.

— Commercial Break —

FATAL FOUR WAY #1 CONTENDER MATCH
5. Sasha Banks vs. Becky Lynch vs. Paige vs. Brie Bella

All other Divas banned from ringside… THANK GOD! Okay, so what I’d do here is boot Brie to the floor and get this thing going. We start with all 4 in the ring, but Becky Lynch winds up taking over on all three. Lynch with quite a series of near falls on Banks. Brie waits in the corner for her spot… and waits… and waits… and finally hits a double dropkick off the ropes on Lynch & Sasha. Brie Mode knee to Sasha’s face. Paige finally comes in and lays out Nikki, but Lynch tackles Paige to the floor.

Paige sends Lynch into the steel steps outside, meanwhile Sasha controls Brie in the ring with the double knee drop in the corner for 2. Paige keeps getting knocked off the apron. Banks becomes distracted by Paige, and Brie takes over control of Banks and lands a bulldog for 2. Brie misses a second rope dropkick on Banks and Paige tries to steal the cover on Brie, Sasha breaks it up as we head to commercial.

Back from break, Brie with YES kicks on Banks. Brie with YES kicks on Lynch. Paige rolls Brie up for 2. Now Brie with YES kicks on Paige for 2 as Lynch breaks up the cover. Paige sends Lynch to the floor which leaves Paige & Brie in the ring. Paige knees Brie right in the chin in the corner. Nasty. Paige and Brie Double SUPERPLex Banks while Lynch gets underneath and powerbombs the entire lot of them…. Banks rolls to the floor leaving the other 3 inside. Lynch comes back and destroys Paige & Brie… Becky with a T-Bone Suplex and half nelson suplex on Brie… I bet Brie is shitting her pants now… Becky with the Dis-Armer on Brie, but Banks breaks it up! Banks with the Banks Statement on Lynch, but Paige breaks it up and tosses Banks into the ring post. Paige with the RamPaige on Lynch for the win in 13:16.

– Byron Saxton interviews Paige in the ring. She tries to get heat by trash talking Charlotte.

– The main event is next… And it;s only 10:18, which means this match is either going to be really, really long, or there’s something coming at the end of the program. Knowing WWE I’d go with the former.

— Commercial Break —

– Renee Young interviews Charlotte. She doesn’t like Paige very much. Woo

– AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW, Don’t you dare be sour! New Day sporting Turquoise this week. The crowd won’t stop chanting to let Xavier talk so he says “you know we;re going to talk, so you might as well just shhh”, lol. They have the crowd making unicorn horns on their head. Wow. Okay, well this ate up a segment…

— Commercial Break —

– Okay, so Reigns hasn’t announced his team yet. If I had to guess I’d say Dean Ambrose is a safe bet. Likely the Dudleys? Ryback? Neville? A surprise Uso return? Not a whole lot of decent talent left.

WOW…. Did I call that???

The USOS RETURN…

Traditional 5 on 5 Survivor Series Elimination Match
6. Seth Rollins, Kevin Owens & New Day (Kofi, Big E, & Woods) vs. Roman Reigns, Jimmy & Jey Uso, Ryback, & Dean Ambrose

Lots of gold on the heel side. Jimmy Uso starts off with Xavier Woods. Xavier runs directly into a Superkick. Jey tags in with the Superfly Splash and Woods is ELIMINATED 33 seconds into the match! And we go to break.

Back from break, the heels have Jey Uso in their corner where they take turns stomping Jey down. Owens then hits the Cannonball in the corner for 2. Jey catches Kofi coming off the top rope with a punch and we get a hot tag to Jimmy Uso. Jimmy with a Samoan Drop and assbump in the corner on Kofi. Kingston and Big E both sent to the floor and we get both Usos flying over the top rope with a double dive onto New Day… Jimmy Uso with a Frog Splash on Kingston for the pin in 7:45.

Jimmy drops Big E and goes back up, but he’s crotched by Kevin Owens and Big E with the Big Ending, pins Jimmy Uso in 8:32.

Jey Uso back in, knocks Big E to the floor with a Superkick but misses a blind tag by Owens… Jey bounces off the ropes for a suicide dive but runs right into the Pop Up Powerbomb by Owens, and Jey is pinned in 10:00 even. Welcome back Usos…

Things break down now. Reings comes in on fire and destroys Owens…. Rollins tries to break it up but Ambrose clotheslines him outside and lands a Suicide Dive on Rollins… Big E clotheslines Dean on the floor…. Then Ryback MEAT HOOK clothesline to Big E on the floor!!! Back inside Reigns nails the Samoan Drop on Owens and sets up for the Superman Punch. Seth distracts and Owens nails a Superkick! We go back to break.

Back from break, it’s still 3 vs. 3. Big E plows over Reigns for 2. Rollins tags in and taunts Reigns, Roman fights back but Seth spikes him with a DDT for 2. Reigns fights back again, but Seth hits him with the spinny JTG clothesline thingy. Too much Seth vs. Reigns interaction here when building to the PPV. Owens tags back in with a senton for 2, and we’re back to more Seth on Reigns. Fans chanting for Ambrose… So am I. Rollins knocks Ambrose off the apron, but Reigns backdrops Seth outside. Hot tag to Ryback, and Seth tags Big E. Ryback starts taking out everyone, shoulder block to Big E, spinebuster to Rollins. Big E comes back and drops Ryback with a clothesline, but Ryback pops up and catches Big E with the MEAT HOOK, but the cover is broken up. Shit breaks down with Ambrose taking out Owens, and then Rollins sending Dean into the steps.

Back inside Shell Shock pins Big E in 22:00.

Rollins immediately attacks Ryback and lands the Pedigree to pin him in 22:30.

Ambrose is the legal man now, for like the first time in the match. Dean ifs still groggy but Seth prevents him from tagging Reigns. Ambrose comes back on Seth with all of his usual signature stuff. Owens tries to crotch Dean but he knocks Kevin off and still nails the flying elbow on Rollins for a near fall. Owens distracts and Seth drops Ambrose to his knees and lands a superkick. 1…2… Reigns breaks the count. The final 2 heels continue to dominate Ambrose. Owens holds Dean up for Seth to come off the top with a flying knee for a 2 count. Dean won’t quit, he keeps trying to fight back. Owens hold Dean again for Rollins to come off the top. Seth screws around too long and Dean ducks… Rollins flying knee to Owens!!! Dean discards Seth and Owens gets planted with DIRTY DEEDS… Holy shit Dean hit his finisher! Ambrose pins Owens in 28:00….

Rollins tries to escape ringside repeatedly, but Ambrose and Reigns keep catching him. Reigns beats the crap out of Rollins all around ringside with the Drive by dropkick, 10 clotheslines in the corner, and other things. Rollins escapes the Dooms Day Device and runs again, but Dean catches him…. Seth has a chair though.

Rollins takes the steel chair and beats down both Ambrose and Reigns with it, getting disqualified for the finish. Dean and Reigns will survive after 31:00. Rollins lays Dean out, and then takes Reigns into the ring with the chair. But Seth walks right into the SUPERMAN PUNCH… And Rollins retreats…

Santino Marella On The Honk-A-Meter and The WWE Intercontinental Title:

Was playing Santina at WrestleMania 27 and competing in a Divas match detrimental to his character:

I’m always up for a challenge and when you get a role like that some people would be concerned like “oh GOD” this is the end of his career because once you dress like a woman that’s it. I thought I was going to do a good job and knock this out of the park, do a good job and kind of reverse the joke. Well like if the joke was supposed to be on me well I did a good job it’s like I got praised for it. I know the girls were pissed. But I was given the job by the boss and you just do the best you can.

Having heat with the Divas locker room for taking a spot:

I guess the girls always have something to prove in regards to their place in the industry because they want to be viewed more and these days they are very technical and very smart, they are awesome performers but they have that unspoken association to back in the day when it was just like a hot chick so they are constantly working hard to gain respect in the industry. At that time I wasn’t making a joke out of womens wrestling but I was in womens wrestling and making a joke. But it wasn’t about womens wrestling it was more about Santino. I hope the girls were able to distinguish between the two because they are an integral part of our show and they do the exact same stuff as us and they travel, they work out and take bumps they do the exact same stuff we do.

Being paired with Emma briefly:

At that point I was pretty established and she was a pretty up and coming young girl and was really sweet and very funny. It was kind of for her to get her going but she was just taking the ball and running with it.

Creating the Cobra finisher:

There was a guy who showed me this cobra move a long time ago at a bar in Japan and I just did it one time and tried it in a match and I asked John Cena to watch and tell me what he thought of it and when I came back because the crowd laughed immediately when I did it we kept it and it just took on a life of its own. It’s an entertaining move. It’s a little bit silly but the people loved it so you gotta give them what they love.

Is John Cena the leader of the locker room or the captain of the ship;

Well, he definitely was the locker room leader. But what happens is when guys like get their own bus they are not in the locker room anymore. He has his own bus, Randy has a bus, Big Show has got their buses and you literally don’t see them in the locker room because they have a different bus. But on European tours he’s still in the locker room, but that being said he was definitely the locker room leader or at least I saw him like that and the reason I saw him there was because of his work ethic and he is just a good guy, really good principles and morals and values. Just a standup guy and he works so damn hard. You could not be but awe inspired that this guy can just go and go and go and not complain or whine and he leads by example and that is what a real locker room leader is supposed to be.

Do Superstars that have the private buses feel above being in the locker room:

No, if anyone could afford it they would have one too. It’s an investment in your career. You are pro-longing your career because they have high quality mattresses and they sleep on the same one every night. They’ve got their fridge and their kitchen so they can make their smoothies and they can take care of their nutrition better than us because we actually have to search around for an IHOP and get some egg whites. If John Cena or Randy Orton are putting asses in seats in which I am benefiting from because I am on the same show well then I want my stars and my headliners and main events to be healthy because the more they put asses in seats, the more I get paid. That’s the opinion of the wrestlers in the locker room if you take care of the guy in the main event then he has some leeway because he’s feeding your family.

Were Santino and Vladimir Kozlov underused by WWE in singles and as a tag team:

Was I underused no. I was on TV for many, many years and yes I wasnt the tough guy but I’m also 5’10” and I know you can have bad asses at that size that could kick everyone’s ass like Benoit and Malenko and Eddie they were tough guys and had the ability and Kurt Angle for sure. Kozlov was almost such a monster that it was actually not going to be believable because I can’t do anything to him, he’s a monster. He’s a 300lb, ripped, SAMBO machine and if at one point in a match I am going to be on him and I have the advantage then it looks fake because I can’t hurt this guy. Guys like Shelton Benjamin, with what he did when you had any offense in a match it looked like just your turn because it was so obvious that he could easily dominate you physically because of his physical abilities. But I think pro wrestling is evolving to a point where we can utilize these guys now that have this shoot background because guys are doing triangle chokes and arm locks and Kimoras. They are able to work a little more realistically. With Kozlov every time there is a big monster like Rusev or Kozlov once they lose it’s just like a glow stick that doesn’t glow anymore it’s just a stick. It’s tough to keep these monster guys fresh once they have lost because they lose their whole mystique.

The “OH MY GOD!” Review: ECW TV 12/20 & 12/27/94

TV 1994-12-20 (Matches taped Holiday Hell 1994-12-17 at ECW Arena in Philadelphia, Pa)

Champions
World: “The Franchise” Shane Douglas
TV: Dean Malenko
Tag: Public Enemy

ECW highlight video with “Little Drummer Boy” playing. Clips from Holiday Hell are shown. Nice to actually see some of the action.

Opening video.

Joey Styles welcomes us to the show and brings out his color commentator for the night Santa Claus. Fans know what’s up and immediately chant for 911. Santa throws out some presents until 911 and Paul E. Dangerously come out and Santa gets chokeslammed. The Pitbulls hit the ring and we get right into our first match.

Pitbulls (w/ Jason) vs. 911 (w/ Paul E Dangerously), ref John Finnegan
Suplex by the Pitbulls. Fans chant “911” as they want a double chokeslam to end this quickly. Pitbull 2 with a slam and then he press Pitbull 1 up and drops him on 911. 911 fights back and goes for a chokeslam on Pitbull 2. Jason breaks it up. 911 turns his attention to Jason and it allows the Pitbulls to get him with a double chokeslam. Almost 3. Another big “911” chant. Chokeslam to Jason from the apron into the ring. 911 breaks through a double clothesline hits a double chokeslam and gets the pin in 2.56.

At the next Arena show on January 7th Taz, Sabu and 911 take on Tag Team Champions Public Enemy, Dean Malenko and Chris Benoit in a Handicap Anything Goes Match.

Joey tells us that a bunch of new markets have picked up TV. Woman says that on the 14th and 16th of January ECW is hitting Florida and Sandman will take on Cactus Jack.

In the locker room Bad Breed make fun of the Pitbulls for losing to just one guy. Pitbulls attack and the teams are pulled apart.

We go back to last week and see everything that happened with Cactus Jack, Sandman, “Ironman” Tommy Cairo and Tommy Dreamer. All of this leads us to our main event tonight.

“Ironman” Tommy Cairo (w/ “Virgin Princess” Angel) & Sandman (w/ Woman) vs. Tommy Dreamer & Cactus Jack, ref John Finnegan
Cairo gets 3 minutes for his entrance. I expect that to mean Sandman gets 15. Only five for his entrance but then we also cut to commercial and skipped ahead to Jack before Sandman was actually introduced so that could have been another minute or two. Cactus and Dreamer hit the ring and go after their enemies. Cactus with lots of weapon shots. Dreamer puts on a goalie mask and headbutts Cairo. Cairo goes low. Cactus nails Sandman with a chair a few times. Dreamer back drops Cactus onto Sandman and Cairo. Dreamer dives next but goes splat. Sandman with a chair to Cactus. Sandman with a flying back elbow in the ring. Jack goes to the floor to check on Dreamer. Sandman with a suplex. Sandman with a leg drop off the top. Dreamer in the ring now and he hits a low blow on Cairo. Sandman suplexes a table onto Cactus. Sandman slams Jack on the floor. They all brawl on the floor. Back into the ring and it becomes an actual tag match with Dreamer and Sandman in the ring. Sandman with a side slam and body slam. He goes up and drops a leg. Piledriver spikes Dreamer for 2 but Cactus breaks it up. All four brawl in the ring. Cairo picks up Jack but Cactus fights out and hits a DDT for the win in 9.17. The fight continues after the match. Dreamer goes after Sandman with the cane. Woman jumps on him so he goes after her but she throws Angel in the way and leaves. Jack gets on the mic and tells Tommy not to do Dreamer gives Cactus the can and then he nails her with it himself.

Styles talks about the upcoming ECW events. Styles says that Steve Richards has become obsessed with Johnny Polo. Joey says according to Richards Polo has left the wrestling industry and has become the official groupie tester of Pearl Jam. Recently Richards dressed as Scotty Flamingo and went by the name Steve Flamingo. We see the end of this match against Dan Harris from December 16 at the Fieldhouse in Hamburg, Pa.

PE are at Rockefeller Center and they steal stuff. “Flyboy” Rocco Roc even convokes Johnny Grunge to steal the tree. Ha….Ha.

My thoughts on the show…
We got some Holiday Hell stuff which was nice. The tag match was decent enough. I love 911 but any match that is more then just a chokeslam is painful to watch. Gearing up for Raven’s debut which should bring some good things with it.

Last week 911 slammed Santa and then beat the Pitbulls in a handicap match. After the match the Pitbulls and Bad Breed brawled in the locker room.

Opening video.

Joey Styles welcomes us to the last episode of ECW for 1994. Joey bring in Jason who says that he proposes a match with the Pitbulls and Bad Breed where the losing team must split up forever. We go to a training video of the Pitbulls where who leather clad girls try to act scary like lady vampires. The Pitbulls are standing on top of cars and yelling. How the fuck is this training? They say how they are coming after Bad Breed and whip the cars with their chains.

Joey says Steve Richards has told him Johnny Polo is now the roadie for Stone Temple Pilots

Stevie The Body vs. JT Smith, ref Jim Molineaux
Smith ducks a clothesline and hits a dropkick. Stevie to the floor. Smith pulls Stevie’s jacket over his head and pounds on him. Weird cut to the fans makes me thing we have an edit. Smith on top and Richards goes to the floor dazed. Smith brings him in the hard way with a slingshot. Smith with some awful “karate” kicks. Smith goes for a german but Stevie goes low. Dropkick but Smith hangs onto the ropes. Smith drop kicks Stevie off the top rope and to the floor. Smith with a tiger bomb for 2. Smith back Richards into the corner and gives him a few shots. Smith backs up and charges right into a super kick, Stevie covers and puts his foot on the rope to make sure he gets the 3 at 5.46.

Bad Breed are on the Hardcore Phoneline. Axl Rotten says they accept the challenge and how he has been around for much longer then Pitbulls. Axl says ECW isn’t big enough for the two teams. Axl says that if they lose they will adhere to the stipulation forever. That match is now official for the 7th.

Extreme Warfare Royal Rumble
Chad Austin is in the ring and says he is leaving ECW for WCW. The locker room basically empties and everyone beats the shit out of Austin and they toss him out of the ring. Clips of Axl Rotten and the Pitbulls brawling. Cactus Jack fought with Sandman and “Ironman” Tommy Cairo. Cactus eliminated Cairo but then get attacked by Jack. Taz nailed lots of suplexes until Tag Team Champion Public Enemy got to him. Dean Malenko and Chris Benoit get rid of Tazmaniac and go after Tommy Dreamer who has been in the ring for awhile. Ron Simmons hits the ring and Benoit goes after his shoulder right away and drives it into the turnbuckle. Simmons really selling the shoulder. Malenko and Benoit charge but Simmons dumps them both winning the Rumble. After the match Malenko and Benoit continued the attack on the shoulder of Simmons. 4.15 of the match was shown.

Back to the city and PE are in Time Square to which everyone a Happy New Year. “Flyboy” Rocco Roc and Johnny Grunge say 1995 is the year they end Paul E Dangerously.

Paul E. talks about how Benoit, Malenko and PE have made three enemies that will end them. A true Dangerous Alliance. Three men that don’t like each other or care about anyone or anything. Paul E says that don’t forgive and don’t forget. Paul E is going to fail 911 and Taz and Sabu are going to take out Malenko and Benoit.

TV Champion Dean Malenko (w/ Jason) vs. Ray Odyssey, ref Jim Malineaux
Nice reversal spots frustrate Malenko and send him to the floor. Ray with a slingshot dive to the floor. Back in the ring test of strength and Malenko brings it to the ground and grabs a leg lock. Odyssey comes back and works the leg himself. Malenko reverses a corner whip and Odyssey goes hard chest first into the buckle. Texas clover leaf gets the win for Malenko in 3.47.

Chris Benoit vs. “Shah” Hack Meyers, ref John Finnegan
Benoit attacks during the ref’s instructions and nails Hack with a clothesline. Snap suplex by Benoit. Northern lights for 2. Benoit throws Hack onto the top rope from a suplex position. Hack reverses a corner whip and fires away on Benoit. Hack with a leg drop on the apron. Benoit ducks a line and drops Hack with a full nelson suplex. Hack holds his neck and the back of his head. The ref calls for the bell in 3.59. Hack is getting stretchered out and Dean Malenko comes and knocks him off and stomps him as Benoit calls out Sabu. Sabu and Taz come out and then Tag Team Champions Public Enemy hit the ring and attack them from behind. Locker room empties.

A dedication to Art Barr who recently passed away is shown.

My thoughts on the show…
A wild finish to an otherwise underwhelming episode of TV to finish off the year.

The “OH MY GOD!” Review: ECW Holiday Hell 1994 (12/17/94)

Holiday Hell 1994-12-17 at ECW Arena in Philadelphia, Pa

Champions
World: The Franchise Shane Douglas
TV: Dean Malenko
Tag: Public Enemy

This is a fan cam and we go right into our first match joined in progress we get about a minute of TV Champion Dean Malenko taking on Ray Odyssey. Not much action is shown. Malenko would go on to win by submission in a finish that wasnt shown.

Chris Benoit vs. Hack Meyers, ref John Finnegan
JIP. Benoit with a slam and northern lights suplex for 2. Hack fights back after reversing a corner whip. Benoit ducks a clothesline and hits a full nelson suplex that dumps hack on the back of his head. Hack is down and Benoit goes after him but the ref backs him off. We get a ref stoppage as Hack is to hurt to continue. 3.31 filmed. Sabu comes out and goes after Benoit. Dean Malenko hits the ring to help out Benoit.

911 chokeslams Santa Clause as the crowd goes wild. Pitbulls hit the ring which brings us to

911 (w/ Paul E Dangerously) vs. Pitbulls (w/Jason), ref John Finnegan
Boring change starts right away. Pitbull 2 with a slam and then he press Pitbull 1 up and drops him on 911. Lost of ceiling shots. 911 goes for a double chokeslam. Jason comes off the top rope and the Pitbulls both chokeslam 911. Jason gets chokeslamed. 911 breaks through a double clothesline hits a chokeslam and pins them both. 2.37 filmed pretty sure there was some cuts. Paul E gets on the mic and hypes 911.

Ironman Tommy Cairo (w/ Angel) & Sandman (w/ Woman) vs. Tommy Dreamer & Cactus Jack, ref John Finnegan
Its a giant brawl with all four men in the ring. They spill to the floor and it sounds like lots of weapon shots are happening. Dreamer back drops Jack out of the ring onto Sandman and Cairo. Sandman and Cairo double team Dreamer as it has turned into an actual tag team match. Most of the show so far has been the back of peoples heads and the guy covering his camera cause hes afraid of getting caught. Sandman hits a leg drop off the top then spikes Dreamer with a piledriver. Cactus makes the save on the pinball attempt. Jack hits Cairo with a DDT and covers for the win. 7.08. Dreamer goes after Sandman with the cane. Woman jumps on him so he goes after her but she throws Angel in the way and leaves. Jack gets on the mic and tells Tommy not to do Dreamer gives Cactus the can and then he nails her with it himself.

World Champion The Franchise Shane Douglas vs. Ron Simmons, ref Jim Molineaux
Shane on the mic. Cant hear him but I imagine he talks shit about Flair. Simmons comes out in street clothes and appears to have his arm in a sling. Simmons says something and then leaves. Douglas I think calls him a punk. Simmons come and nails Shane. Simmons takes off his belt and whips Shane. Shane gets the World Title and nails Ron with is and rips off the sling. Shane comes off the top rope but gets caught in the jaw by Simmons. Ron misses a corner charge and hits his shoulder in the buckle. Shane with a chop block and he gets the win in 4.17.

Tag Team Champions Public Enemy vs. Sabu & Tazmaniac (w/ Paul E Dangerously), ref John Finnegan
Guess what? Its a giant brawl, from what I can tell. Fans are going ape shit. Sabu dives out of the ring then hits air sabu. Taz with a few suplexes. Paul E and Taz pin down Flyboy Rocco Roc as Sabu goes up to put him through a table. Johnny Grunge makes the save and nails Taz and Paul E with a frying pan. Sabu breaks character a bit and does the cabbage patch. Chris Benoit and Dean Malenko hit the ring and Benoit pushes Sabu through the table and then hits a tombstone piledriver. Roc with a swinging neck breaker. I assume the match is still going on. Roc puts Sabu on a table and goes for the drive by but Taz covers up Sabu and they both get put through and Roc makes the cover for the win. Well couldnt see half the match so hopefully they show it on TV cause the crowd was way into it. Finish looked sort of weak though as Roc didnt seem to hit with any impact. After the match Taz puts PE through a table. Malenko and Benoit stay around and Taz and Sabu get beat down. 911 comes out and hits everyone with lots of chokeslams. Sabu puts a chair on the top turnbuckle and climbs onto the chair and leg drops Grunge through a table. That looked stupid. Oh wait the table didnt break. Sabu goes for it again but Roc hits the rope I think accidentally and Sabu falls face first onto the table. Paul E gets on the mic and hypes the crowd.

After the show are videographer gives us a tour of the outside of the ECW Arena and hangs with some wrestlers at the hotel. He evens gets to ask Benoit a few questions.

My thoughts on the show…
I dont know if I would have liked it or not cause I couldnt see any of it! If youre this much of a pussy its fine I get it just dont bring a camera to the show in the first place. Do not add this to your collection.

Podcast: The TMPToW Interview Bill Apter And The Blue Meanie

0

Today The Two Man Power Trip of Wrestling has the honor of sitting with both the “Godfather” of wrestling journalism Bill Apter and the colorful and always delightful member of the bWo, Brian Heffron aka The Blue Meanie. First up is Bill Apter to discuss his book “Is Wrestling Fixed?.. I Didn’t Know It Was Broken” and to tell stories of a simpler time in professional wrestling and discussing everything from is kayfabe dead to his highly publicized theory on the “Benoit murders”. Additionally John and Chad chat with the always comical and very insightful, Brian Heffron who discusses how ECW pulled off some amazing ahead of it’s time production on a “shoe-string” budget and how ECW continues to live on because of the passion of the fans.

Blue Meanie Talks His Job Squad Role in WWF & Playing Bluedust:

Approaching the twenty year anniversary of the bWo:

Me, Nova and Stevie were just talking about that at Chikara and were like “can you believe this”? It’s just insane. When I happened to wrestle JBL on Smackdown in 2005 we were sitting in JBL’s limo about to come out and Nova just quipped and said that it’s like thirteen years later and the bWo is still around and the nWo is not. It’s a little bit of a funny thing between the three of us but he had a good point.

How did the bWo get so over with the ECW fans:

Todd (Gordon) and Paul (Heyman) saw the crowd reactions and I think they just saw dollar signs and realized they could make t-shirts. The crowd just took to it. The ECW crowd is kind of like A Night at the Apollo where you go out there and the crowd could make you or they could kill you. If they don’t like you, you will know in about five seconds. I was fortunate that that rabid ECW crowd took to us and I think that is because we weren’t trying to be like everybody else on the card. Stevie is super talented, Nova is super talented and I did the comedy stuff and I think we all brought a different element onto the show, we were a little bit light hearted.

Where does he draw the comedic elements from in the Blue Meanie:

My two loves growing up were wrestling and comedy. I loved Ricky Steamboat and I loved George Carlin. A lot of my facial mannerisms are an inspiration from George Carlin when he would overly sell a face.

Filming the infamous Christmas in Times Square vignette:

There’s this video going around where this guy made a hip hop video on like a $396 budget or something like that and they are showing how he put it all together and I’m thinking, I did that in ECW. In the movie business they call it “run and gun” where you go and film and leave to get around permits. The Santa Claus wasn’t a wrestler, he was just a street performer. We walked around all day just filming stuff and saying what should we do and this guy taps us on the shoulder wearing a Santa suit with a Spanish accent and said that he wanted to be on TV and the funny thing is about that Stevie-kick. That was second one he gave him. He did the Nestea-plunge on the concrete and we were selling it like is he getting up?

Being a part of recent WWE Network projects and ECW DVD releases:

I knew WWE was coming to town for Smackdown in October 2014 and I hadn’t been backstage in about ten years and I’ve got friends that still work there and I did the right thing and I got permission to stop by and I saw JBL. Even though we had our beef back in the day we are cool now and he included me on his web show. After, I was talking to a producer and said you guys have the network and you have these countdown shows so if you need somebody to talk about ECW, so I gave him my card. They called me the next afternoon and said they were doing an ECW DVD and it created another opportunity.

Scotty Riggs Says The American Males Would Have Fit Better In The 80s:

Reaction to first hearing the American Males theme song:

We were in Orlando and this was before we worked with Regal and Eaton and we had put some outfits together, got some jeans and had some sequence sewn on them. Sandra Grey who is the seamstress now for WWE had put all of our first couple of outfits together. So they pulled us into this room at the Disney Studios and Jimmy (Hart) is all excited and is all hyper and says “here’s your tune, baby” and it starts up and Marcus and I are like, okay it has a good beat and then when it came in and said “American Males” we looked at each other and were like “OH MY GOD”. The funny thing was that the whole deal for me was it was my first gig and we were a team and for Marcus it was his first team where he was actually a team. When he was with Stars and Stripes he was put together with The Patriot but it was already Stars and Stripes. When he got put with 2 Cold (Scorpio) they were doing the dancing thing and he assimilated to his gimmick. The American Males with Marcus it was that we became the gimmick. So Marcus was excited about it and we had that music and I was just excited because it was my first deal. So whether it sounded good or not we loved it.

The American Males clap and 20 years later seeing The New Day use a similar clap:

It kind of came off the cuff. We always did the forearm bump and we would say and I swear to GOD “this is cheesy” but lets go out there and get it over. We would look at each other when would do the forearm bump and say “its not easy, being this cheesy”. Somehow, I think he started doing the clap thing to get the crowd going so I was right behind him and I started doing it and it was very organic. I look at it nowadays and GOD bless The New Day. They turned “New Day Sucks” into an over character or an over part of their character. Either they found it or somebody created it and they ran with it, to me I’m just happy to see it go from the 90s to twenty years later they are working it and it is getting over.

Winning the WCW Tag Team Championships

In my mind I was saying this is pretty surreal, coming from Memphis wrestling six nights a week and twice on Saturday, driving everywhere putting 70,000 miles on my car, made less than seven grand in the eight months I was there and here I am on the third Nitro ever winning the World Tag Team Championships. So to me it was pretty surreal. Twice during that afternoon, I knew Steve Regal wasn’t going to be there because he was on the tour of Japan because they announced that we were wrestling The Blue Bloods for a future title shot. During the day Kevin Sullivan walked up and said “son, we are changing the finish”. I remember after the match I sat down in a corner of the room and started to get a little teary because it was such a rush to come from where I was, to where I am having the World Tag Team belt in my hand.

Arn Anderson being the voice behind the best advice he ever received:

Im standing there teary eyed after winning and of all people Arn Anderson comes around the corner and gave me a little hug and said “kid, remember when I told you to leave, well look at you now”. Even thinking about it right now, here is a guy that told me to leave and to get better and he was the first to congratulate me for getting my spot with the company. It’s kind of weird how the business can come full circle sometimes.

Feeling slighted for holding WCW Tag Titles for only 8 days:

It was one of those deals where when you look back at the psychology of it, it was a hot shot way of establishing us as a tag team. But in TV time it felt like we held them for like three months because we were doing so many TV tapings in advance. They were having us go out and wrestle matches as World Tag Team Champs and we didn’t even have the belts but the voice-over was announcing us as the tag team champions. We always thought there could be more done with us but then we had the influx of The Road Warriors came in, Faces of Fear, Hall and Nash had come in and all these teams that had come in. It kind of sucked because we always had great matches with everybody but they just didn’t want to put them back on us for some reason.

Heat with the Nasty Boys when coming into WCW:

The night before Fall Brawl, we got into Ashville and a lot of times people show up for pay per views the day of and I think at the time The Honky Tonk Man didn’t want to put over Johnny B. Badd after they already had the finish and they changed the pre-requisite that you have to show up the night before to go over finishes and if you disagreed with them you could figure a way out of it. We worked The Nasty Boys and the Nasty Boys were not pissed but didn’t want to put us over on The Main Event show. They weren’t happy about it and they let us know they were unhappy about it. When I locked up with Saggs to start off the match he put me in the corner and if you ever watch it there are twenty-two unanswered punches and kicks that were live rounds and that was his way of being a little pissed off with the young guy. He said it was just his way of welcoming us to the company but I had two knots on my head and a bruise on my side from where he was kicking me. Randy Anderson, who was the referee was pissed, his partner Brian was pissed about it and Marcus came in and shoved him. It was all Saggs not wanting to put young guys over.

Scotty Riggs talks very candidly and in extreme detail about his entire career, why WCW was crazy, his run as a member of Raven’s Flock, becoming Scotty Anton in ECW, wrestling for Dusty Rhodes TCW, the current state of wrestling, NXT and much much more.

Yes of course you should watch it. Everything was good as has become the norm.

Douglas says he will mention another WCW wrestler but these guy has the guts to come to ECW and face him man to man and that guy is Ron Simmons. Douglas says that after this Saturday night Simmons is just another notch in his belt of beaten opponents.

Opening video.

911 killed the Young Dragons in under a minute with a double chokeslam. Joey Styles questions if 911 bite off more then he can chew when he goes up against the Pitbulls at Holiday Hell this Saturday.

Ironman Tommy Cairo announces The Virgin Princess Angel as his new manager.

Joey hypes the main event at Holiday Hell between Champion Shane Douglas and Ron Simmons. Simmons says he is going to show Douglas what its like to feel the emotion he used to feel making a game winning tackle. Simmons talks about how good it feels to be champion. Think this might be the same promo they used a few weeks ago.

We go to clips of Sabus injuries over the past few weeks. From there we go to November 19th when Tag Team Champions Public Enemy attacked Sabu and Tazmaniac during their match. Sabu and Tazmaniac repaid the attack during the PEs match with Cactus Jack and Kevin Sullivan.

Johnny Grunge says that no one is more Extreme then PE. Grunge says their beef is with Sabu and Paul E but Tazmaniac got in the way and he is going to suffer. Flyboy Rocco Roc says they are taking about Taz and Sabu. Good promo from Grunge who gets the least mic time out of the two.

Paul E joins Styles. Paul he hypes the 911 Pitbulls match and says all that it takes is him dialing three numbers. Paul says whats really on his mind is PE. Paul E talks about violence in society. He pulls out a wad of cash and says that PE loves cash and to get it they have to go through Taz and Sabu and he doesnt think they can do it. Taz and Sabu are going to bring to much violence.

They briefly go to the mixed tag team match but then cut to the locker room where Cactus Jack and Mikey Whipwreck are. Mikey says sorry to Jack for letting Kevin Sullivan turn on him. Mikey then runs away. Cactus says he is most mad at Sullivan for not telling him that he was going to go after Hulk Hogan because he would have stayed and helped. Woman shows up and tells Jack to watch out what he says about her husband. Sandman attacks from behind with the cane. Joey says Sandman is on his way to the ring for a dueling cane match with Tommy Dreamer but Cairo never got out of the ring from the last match. Nice they just made up a match for TV that was never actually a thing. They show the beat down of Dreamer and Cactus. Joey tells us that added to Holiday Hell is Cactus and Dreamer against Sandman and Cairo. Cactus and Dreamer are in the locker room and Cactus says he has put wrestler out just for fun. But Woman and Sandman have actually given him a reason. Jack talks about Dreamer becoming a man and that Jack doesnt care about losing body parts cause the more he loses the less has to lose.

My thoughts on the show…
I love the week before the big show. It’s basically what would have been the “Preshow” had the show been on PPV. Good promos from everyone tonight. No matches though so if you like straight hype check this one out.

How to Catch a Predator star Rob Feinsteins first fan cam. Mikey Whipwreck sets up the ring and then we go to the action.

Pitbulls (w/ Jason) vs. JT Smith & Steve Richards, ref Jim Molineaux
Richards and Pitbull 1 start off. Pitbull powers Richards into a corner and pounds on him. Richards moves out of the way of a charge and goes after the arm. Richards goes for a super kick but gets his leg swept out. Pitbull 2 tags as does Smith. Smith uses his speed to hit a super kick and cross body. Pitbulls however use their size advantage to gain control. They go after the forever injured knee of Smith. They go to the floor and brawl. After what feels like hours Smith with a clothesline and tag. Richards with lots of super kicks. He even turns and accidentally nails Smith. Richards cant believe what he did and Pitbull 2 powerslams him for the win in 11.55. Smith is obviously upset and they argue a bit. Smith nails Richards and the ref calls for a bell.

Steve Richards vs. JT Smith, ref Jim Molineaux
Smith beats on Richards as the fans call for blood. Richards trips up Smith and covers with his feet on the rope for the win in .47.

Young Dragons vs. 911 (w/ Paul E Dangerously), ref Jim Molineaux
911 picks up the win in .41 after a double chokeslam. 911 with a few more after the match to keep the fans happy.

Al Snow vs. Tazmaniac, ref John Pee Wee Moore
Snow in his debut here. He locks on a headlock but Taz throws him off. A few minutes in and Taz knocks Snow to the floor. Jason comes out and begins to give Snow some pointers. Jason trips Taz and out comes Paul E to even things up. Snow with a surfboard. Paul E now trips up Snow and Taz hits a belly to belly. The Pitbulls comes down and distract Taz. Snow with a suplex and here comes 911. Big slam by Snow. Taz with a belly to back for 2. Leg drop from the top by Snow. Taz ducks a clothesline and hits a half nelson suplex for the 1, 2 and 3 in 8.10. Jason yells at Snow so Snow attacks him and hits a plancha on the Pitbulls. Snow then chases after the Pitbulls with a chair and falls down HA. In the ring Taz gives the ref a belly to belly.

World Champion The Franchise Shane Douglas vs. Hack Meyers, ref Jim Molineuax
Fans are anti Douglas chanting Pittsburgh sucks Shane gets on the mic and tells Meyers hes a piece of shit. Hack fires away on Shane and clotheslines him over the top rope. Hack all over Shane working the arm and trapping Shane in the corner. Meyers charges but Shane gets the boot up and throws Hack to the floor and hits a plancha. Shane breaks an oar over the back of Meyers. Shane comes off the top with a double axe handle back in the ring and then locks in a chin lock. They trade rest holds for entirely to long. Shane with a head scissor that goes on for like 3 minutes. Hack breaks out and drops a leg low on Shane. Shane eventually reverses a corner whip and hits a belly to belly as Hack comes out for the 3 count in 21.05. They each get on the mic after the match and shit talk.

Ironman Tommy Cairo & Angel vs. Tommy Dreamer & Peaches, ref John Pee Wee Moore
I don’t get why these guys didn’t join forces and decide that they hate Sandman more than they hate each other. Dreamer with a piledriver right out of the gate. The girls go at it and Dreamer pushes Angel and Peaches gets the 3 count in 2.24. Peaches chases Angel back and Sandman shows up. Sandman, Dreamer and Cairo all face off and Cairo and Sandman seem to work together to take out Dreamer. Cactus Jack tries to make the save and goes after Sandman but Cairo saves him. WHAAAAAAAAT!?! Cactus is left a bloody mess by Sandman.

Tag Team Champions Public Enemy vs. Hack Meyers & Mikey Whipwreck, ref Jim Molineaux & John Pee Wee Moore
Hack gets his second title shot in one night. Not very deserving of either of them. Cactus must be unable to compete. Two refs must mean its falls count anywhere. I didn’t hear if that was announced though so its just a guess. A few minutes into the fight Cactus Jack show up and Hack just wanders off. Cactus hits Johnny Grunge with a double arm DDT but Flyboy Rocco Rock breaks up the pin attempt. Cactus nails him with a DDT on a chair. Cactus drops the chair to the face of Rock but Rock just gets the shoulder up right before the 3. They brawl into the crowd. Things are wild and the fans are loving every second of it. Rock goes for a drive by through a table but it doesn’t break. He hits a second one off the table this time and gets a 1,2 3 in 10.10.

PE are in the dressing room with Commissioner Tod Gordon. Grunge is all bloody. They say they are done with Cactus and Mikey because its time to take out Tazmaniac and Sabu.

Cactus Jack and Tommy Dreamer talk about the beating they took from Sandman and Tommy Cairo.

Al Snow tells Tazmaniac that hes coming back after Tazmaniac.

Cactus gives a few autographs to kids after the show.

My thoughts on the show…
Cactus bleed like crazy for a house show. The promos at the end make me wonder if some of this will actually show up on TV which would explain the massive amount of blood from Cactus. All of the matches besides the Tag Title Match were either WAY to long or they lasted seconds. Tag was the only one that felt like it had a good time to it.
