CM Punk Officially Removed From WWE’s Roster

0

It would appear that CM Punk is no longer affiliated with WWE as his profile on WWE.com was transferred to the Alumni section Tuesday.

It has been widely reported that Punk’s contract with WWE would expire this month and that it’s unlikely that he would re-sign with the company.

Punk is eager to start a new chapter in his life, one that he revealed via Twitter to fans.

“Starting a band, a podcast, and a fire. One of these is true. (Okay, two),” Punk tweeted on Sunday.

Meanwhile, WWE continues to promote Punk as their 2012 documentary on the Straight Edge Superstar, CM Punk – Best in the World, premieres tonight on the WWE Network at 9:00 p.m.

Sting Wants Match Against The Undertaker At WrestleMania

Sting has targeted “one last big match” for WrestleMania next year in Santa Clara, California and he wants it against The Undertaker.

On Monday, the legendary wrestler was announced for WWE 2K15 as two playable characters through a pre-order offer. Speaking to Mirror.co.uk to promote his inclusion in the video game, he says he’s all for stepping inside a WWE ring.

“I’ve made it clear I’d love to have one last hurrah, one last big match hopefully. And of course I’ve been outspoken about Undertaker being the opponent,” he said when asked if he is open to negotiate wrestling for WWE.

“I know what happened at WrestleMania where Brock Lesnar broke his streak. I think, or at least I’m hoping, that Taker’s still going to come back and that he’s not done. If he’s not done, and he would consider doing it, I’d love to work with him one time.

“I’d love to wrestle him one time before I call it quits.”

When asked where he might like his dream match to take place, Sting responded, “How about San Francisco, 2015, in April?”

Sting was also asked whether he may appear live on WWE programming to promote WWE 2K15.

“All for it, just put it that way. I’m all for it,” Sting says.

After three decades in the professional wrestling industry, Sting formed a relationship with WWE due it being “now or never.”

“I’ve done so many things in the wrestling business but the one thing I’d never done was wrestle or be a part of the WWE family,” the 55-year-old says. “I didn’t want too hang it all up and retire and disappear again without having done that in some capacity.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Sting discusses his relationship with the late Ultimate Warrior and past dealings with Vince McMahon. He also singles out a few WWE Superstars, including Bray Wyatt, Daniel Bryan and Roman Reigns. The full interview is available here.

Why Paul Heyman Was Moved Away From Cesaro

Paul Heyman was moved away from Cesaro this week on RAW because Brock Lesnar is returning soon, likely as early as next Monday’s post-Battleground RAW from Miami.

This may not be the end of Heyman and Cesaro’s relationship but word is that they were separated, at least for now, because of Lesnar’s return.

WWE Retired World Heavyweight Championship On Raw?

0

There’s speculation that WWE retired the World Heavyweight Title belt or the “big gold belt” on Monday’s RAW.

As seen before the main event, WWE World Heavyweight Champion John Cena met Ric Flair on the stage and let him raise the “big gold belt” in the air. Cena then told Flair to keep the belt and Flair left with it.

Several fans pointed out that JBL made a reference to there only being one title earlier in the show.

For what it’s worth, F4Wonline.com recently reported that WWE was planning on keeping both belts around because it’s two pieces of merchandise that can be sold, among other reasons.

In somewhat of an update, it’s been noted that Ric Flair handed the title belt back over to WWE after he came back through the curtains, and there was no discussion of the belt being retired. I personally didn’t get the interpretation that the belt was retired on Raw, there was no mention of it during the commentary, but some people can make something out of nothing. Then again with WWE, it very well could be true. We’ll have to wait and see.

WWE And Sting Finally Reach Contract Agreement, 2k15 Artwork Inside

WWE’s shop website has released a new Sting t-shirt at this link.

It appears Sting has come to terms with WWE for something beyond licensing his character for the video game.

Regarding Sting being in WWE 2K15, both the black & white Sting and the “surfer” Sting will be available.

2K Sports has just released concept art with the first look at Sting in the game:

Seth Rollins And Dean Ambrose Injury Updates

0

As seen during the RAW main event, Money In the Bank winner Seth Rollins was clotheslined to the floor by Roman Reigns and landed bad on his knee. Rollins clutched his knee and wasn’t shown on camera after that. A fan in attendance sent word that the referee threw up the sign for an injury and WWE medics were checking on Rollins. The fan noted that Rollins looked to be in a lot of pain.

In somewhat of an update, word from backstage at last night’s RAW is that Seth Rollins is fine and is not injured. A source told PWInsider that Rollins was just selling the knee injury from the main event and doing a good job of it. It was noted that it was suspicious how WWE kept the cameras off Rollins when he went down.

– Since fans have asked, Dean Ambrose is fine after the beatdown angle with Kane, Seth Rollins and Randy Orton on last night’s RAW. Apparently he was busted open in the mouth but did not suffer any significant injury.

Bray Wyatt Goes Through Lengthy Process Before Appearing On Raw

It was said that if you saw Bray Wyatt when he walked into the arena before last night’s RAW in Richmond and compared that to how he looked on TV, it was “night & day.”

WWE’s medical crew worked hard to drain swelling around Wyatt’s eye, clean the area up, apply make-up and hide the injury that he suffered during the angle with Ric Flair at Madison Square Garden on Saturday night.

While Wyatt just came out to the stage to attack Chris Jericho last night, you could tell that he had a black eye.
