– UFC officials have taken away the unedited version of an off-camera incident between light heavyweight champion Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier. You can see an edited version in the video above, but MMAjunkie.com has already posted a complete transcription of what went down.

Last week, Jones and Cormier appeared on ESPN’s “SportsCenter” following a scuffle during Ultimate Media Day in Las Vegas. During the televised interview, “Bones” appeared very calm. That continued off-air, but with a death threat hurled by Jones to the former Olympian.

Jones and Cormier will meet in the main event of UFC 178 this September 27. Below is the complete transcription:

Jones: Hey (expletive), are you still there?

Cormier: I’m here. I’m here. You’re just the fakest person. I actually admire that you can just be this fake, and when like that TV comes on, how you can just change. It’s like you’re a chameleon. It’s awesome.

Jones: Hey listen, I’m a professional.

Cormier: It’s awesome. It is unbelievable.

Jones: The fact that you’re a (expletive) hasn’t changed.

Cormier: It’s unbelievable how fake you can really be. It’s like you’re just such a (expletive) (expletive). My God. It is amazing. It is amazing. But hats off to you. You’ve got a great PR person because they do a great job of training you because you are just terrible. You’re the scum of the (expletive) Earth. You are a terrible human being. But you can sure turn it on.

Jones: Thank you.

Cormier: I wish they would let me next door so I can spit in your (expletive) face.

Jones: You know I would absolutely kill you if you ever did something like that, right?

Cormier: You could never kill me.

Jones: Oh, I bet you I could.

Cormier: Then you should try, Jon. You really should try, Jon.

Jones: I will literally kill you if you spit in my face. Literally kill you.

Cormier: Let’s try that, Jon.

Jones: I’m not saying I would fight you. I said I would kill you if you do some silly (expletive) like that.

Cormier: So Jon, do you think I’m just going to sit there and let you kill me, Jon? I mean, really?

– Former UFC title contender Chael Sonnen lost to Andre Galvao at Metamoris 4 Saturday night in the main event of the Brazilian jiu-jitsu event. Sonnen competed despite threats of a financial punishment from the Nevada Athletic Commission.

Earlier this year, Sonnen announced his retirement from MMA after failing two drug tests. However, it appeared as if he was still fine to compete in Los Angeles at Metamoris despite receiving a suspension from the NAC.

Sonnen, who fought twice for the UFC middleweight title and once for the light heavyweight belt, was defeated when Galvao locked in a rear-naked choke. In other action, Josh Barnett defeated Dean Lister and Vinny Magalhaes fought Keenan Cornelius to a draw.

– UFC female bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey is already on the road to recovery following knee surgery. Middle Easy posted a video of Rousey starting rehab on Instagram after the operation.

Rousey has targeted a return to action either late this year or early in 2015. Gina Carano remains rumored as a possible opponent.

WWE developmental talent Lina Fanene and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s mother, Ata Johnson, were struck head-on by a drunk driver earlier this month and survived.

“My mom & cousin @linafanene were struck head on by a drunk driver this week – they lived,” Johnson said on Instagram. “First reaction is to find the person who did this and do unrelenting harm to them. But then you realize the most important thing is my family lived thru this and we can hug each other that much tighter these days. Hug your own family tighter today and be grateful you can tell them you love them. #BearHugsAndGratitude #100PercentPreventable #ChoicesMatter.”

Fanene suffered an arm injury from the accident and her Twitter account indicates that she went underwent surgery—Johnson paid a visit to Fanene at the hospital.

Three days earlier, Fanene posted a photo of herself and Johnson’s mother riding a car together to a function.

Fanene is a 31-year-old former college basketball player from California who WWE signed to a developmental contract earlier this year. Her uncle is WWE Hall of Famer High Chief Peter Maivia, the maternal grandfather of Johnson. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Johnson’s mother, Ata Johnson, suggested she try pro wrestling after watching him perform in person against John Cena at WrestleMania XXVIII. Fanene initially had no interest in wrestling, but she eventually began searching for wrestling schools and would land a tryout with WWE shortly thereafter. She began training at the WWE Performance Center in May. Fanene has yet to wrestle at a WWE NXT live event, but has appeared as a ring announcer.

– Jeff Jarrett made an appearance during New Japan Pro Wrestling’s G1 Climax Tournament finals last night to sign a partnership deal between NJPW and Global Force Wrestling. Jarrett met with NJPW chairman Naoki Sugabayashi and took photos earlier in the night. Later that evening, Jarrett joined NJPW’s top heel stable, The Bullet Club. After Hiroshiro Tanahashi defeated AJ Styles in a great match, The Bullet Club attacked Tanahashi until Jarrett made the save and cleaned house. Scott D’Amore then opened Jarrett’s guitar case and pulled out his guitar, which had “Bullet Club” on it. Jarrett proceeded to hit Tanahashi over the head with the guitar and then posed with the rest of the Bullet Club to a chorus of boos to end the segment.

– Jarrett noted on his Twitter on Friday that he was headed to Tokyo for the G1-Climax and said that there was “great stuff ahead for @GFWWrestling and @njpw1972.”

Source: Wrestling Observer Newsletter

We noted before that Ricardo Rodriguez asked for his WWE release as he had been frustrated and wanted to be a wrestler.
Ricardo had been wrestling as El Local with Kalisto in NXT but when he got injured, Sin Cara was given the spot with Kalisto.

There were also issues with Ricardo’s physique not being up to WWE’s standards. They reportedly set a weight goal that they wanted him at and in their mind, he was having trouble keeping to it.

Rodriguez was working under both a talent contract and an announcers contract. When he was released, his talent contract had just two weeks left on it. He had been doing some Spanish language broadcasts but with budget cuts ongoing, a three-man Spanish broadcast team was too much.
