WWE Injury Report: Daniel Bryan Situation Looks Bad, Itami, Zayn/Surgery

0

Regarding the injury situation in WWE right now, the company is remaining very quiet in terms of disclosing information on the status of Daniel Bryan’s condition.

While specifics aren’t quite clear just yet, the word going around is that things are looking negative regarding Bryan’s future as an active pro wrestler. It’s been said that he is expected to be out a long time and it’s possible he may never be able to return, however as of May 18th there has been no definitive medical update on him.

Triple H acknowledged that Hideo Itami was injured during his conference call to promote the NXT Takeover: Unstoppable live WWE Network special, noting that he would be on the show in some capacity, but not actually wrestling.

It’s said that Itami’s injury was a fluke situation and not a case of wear-and-tear, which is said to be an issue troubling WWE these days among many of the wrestlers.

In the case of Sami Zayn, while HHH said he was medically cleared to return, and he did face Kevin Owens on the NXT special this Wednesday, the word going around the WWE locker room was that he will be having shoulder surgery early next month, although that is not confirmed.

Tammy ‘Sunny’ Sytch Reportedly Very Close To Signing Six-Figure Adult Film Contract

0

We noted earlier in the week via MMA/WWE source Front Row Brian that WWE Hall of Famer Tammy “Sunny” Sytch may have signed a deal to do pornographic movies with the Vivid adult entertainment company.

TMZ Sports reports that Sunny is close to signing a “monster porn contract” worth big bucks. Vivid apparently told TMZ that the two sides have spoken several times and a six-figure offer is on the table for her. The deal would not be a one-time thing as there would be more than one film for her.

Vivid boss Steve Hirsch said:

“After the tremendous success of Chyna, this makes total sense. Hoping we can work it out.”

TMZ notes that the deal is “very close” to being signed and Sunny is prepared to start filming right away.

Scott Hall Incident At Indy Show, DDP Comments, GFW Appearances Cancelled

– As noted, Scott Hall was escorted from an independent wrestling event this past weekend. Hall was asked to leave the “Skate and Surf Festival” in Asbury Park, NJ on Saturday after having a few drinks that were believed to be given to him by band members of the event or one of their runners. Dropkick Murphy headlined that day along with professional wrestling presented by Jersey Championship Wrestling. Hall was fine the next morning and left on an earlier flight to see DDP. He did not attend the second day of the event, and Jake Roberts took his place in a tag team match with Sean “X-Pac” Waltman and Santana Garrett as they defeated the Playas’ Club.

– TMZ caught up with Diamond Dallas Page and asked him about Hall’s latest setback. Page noted that Hall can count on him for support, and that he plans to speak with him soon.

“Scott is going through a life process,” Page said. “He’s stumbled along the way, but he is doing well overall. I’ve got his back. Even Jake ‘The Snake’ has fallen a few times, but he is now one year sober and doing great.”

– We noted yesterday that Global Force Wrestling has removed Hall from their roster page since the incident. Hall was supposed to appear at a Gwinnett Braves MiLB game on June 19th, but that appearance has been cancelled as well: “Our Scott Hall appearance promotion has been canceled due to unforeseen circumstances. If you purchased a ticket your rep will be in touch.

Ricky from GA and L.O.S. The Butcher contributed to this article.”
