As noted in an interview that made the rounds yesterday, Rey Mysterio said he plans on sticking around with WWE and re-signing a new deal when his current contract expires soon. Rey also stated he had no interest in joining the AAA promotion. Rey has also been added to WWE Studios’ Flintstones movie that comes out in time for WrestleMania 31 next year (reportedly replacing the part originally meant for CM Punk).<\/p>\n
A source reported to PWinsider on Tuesday morning before Rey’s interview came out that at least in WWE’s eyes, Rey was sticking around for at least another year because of the addition to the Flintstones movie.<\/p>\n
Word last month was that WWE was planning on downplaying Rey on TV until he re-signed or informed them that he was leaving. A new deal is expected to be signed soon and Rey will be staying with WWE. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
