The OH MY GOD! Review of Extreme Warfare Vol. 1 (Released 1996-04-16)<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

This is the fifth compilation tape released on ECW home video. It features random matches with no particular theme.<\/p>\n

Tape opens up with Chris Benoit walking to the ring and Joey Styles in a voice over welcomes us to Extreme Warfare.<\/p>\n

Chris Benoit vs. Sabu ref John Finnegan (1994-11-05)<\/strong><\/span>
\nRight to the action Benoit picks up Sabu for a suplex but drops him across the top rope. Benoit throws Sabu up into the air and Sabu comes crashing down on the top of his head breaking his neck and that\u2019s that.<\/p>\n

The Sandman & Terry Funk vs. \u201cThe Franchise\u201d Shane Douglas & Cactus Jack ref Jim Molineaux (1995-03-18)<\/strong><\/span>
\nDouglas and Cactus hit the ring and we\u2019ve got a brawl! Douglas with the cane back and forth to Sandman and Funk but then he accidentally hits Cactus. Funk throws a chair in the ring but Cactus gets it and goes back and forth on Funk and Sandman. Funk and Sandman take over on Cactus though til Douglas hits the ring with the cane. Cactus clothesline and Funk is on the floor. One for the Sandman. Douglas throws Funk into the ring for a third clothesline and the same thing happens to Sandman. Funk is bloodied on the floor Cactus goes from the 2nd turnbuckle to the floor with an elbow drop onto him. Douglas throws Cactus at the Sandman. Funk with a DDT on Shane back in the ring. Back to the floor Cactus gets hit with a chair a few times. Sandman with a DDT on Shane. Funk and Sandman take apart the guardrail and bring it in the ring. Down across Shane\u2019s back twice. Cactus trying to get back into the ring but keeps getting knocked off the apron. Shane crotched on the rail by Funk and Sandman hits a clothesline. Funk with chairshots to the leg of Douglas now. Cactus finally gets back in and him and Cactus go to the floor. Sandman missing a clothesline and goes flying over the top rope to the floor. Cactus gets DDTed on the floor by Funk. Funk gets a tool box from under the ring. He goes to hit Shane with it but all the tools fall out of it and hit Funk in is head. Back in the ring Cactus puts a chair over Sandmans face and leg drops it. Sandman hits Cactus low with the chair and DDTs him on it. Chair laid across Cacuts\u2019 face and Sandman with a top rope leg drop. Douglas makes the save. Plancha to the floor onto Sandman. Funk comes from the locker room with a branding iron on fire. He hits Cactus with it in the face and then burns him. Pile driver into the fire, \u201cOHHH MY GOOOD\u201d\u2026 for the 1-2-3.<\/p>\n

Public Enemy vs. The Gangstas ref Jim Molineaux (1995-07-21)<\/strong><\/span>
\nThe ring announcements start but the two teams just charge each other. Mustafa and Rocco Roc hit the crowd. New Jack and Johnny Grunge are in the ring and Grunge is busted up from a nightstick. Giant water bottle to the head of New Jack. Grunge gets the nightstick now and then a chair. Jack is busted open, cheese grater to the face! Mustafa and Roc get in the ring and Grunge dumps New Jack to the floor. Mustafa getting the better of Roc in the ring. Roc able to fight back with a double axe handle from the top rope. Roc now with the night stick and Roc its an Air Sabu. Mustafa with a top rope axe handle to Roc on the floor. Grunge goes for a cover in the ring but its broken up. Double team suplex by the Gangstas. Diving headbutt by Jack. Roc brings in a table and they set New Jack on it. Rocco Roc with a moonsault through the table for the win. After the match Public Enemy invite the crowd into the ring to celebrate with them and the ring collapses.<\/p>\n

The Steiner Brothers vs. Vampire Warrior & Dudley Dudley (w\/Big Dick Dudley) ref Jim Molineaux (1995-07-28)<\/strong><\/span>
\nScott starts off with Dudley. Arm drag and hip toss by Steiner Dudley complains of a hair pull each time. Dudley fights back and chokes Scott over the top rope. Tiger Driver by Steiner. Both teams make tags. Rick catches Warrior in a leap frog and hits a powerslam. Rick hits the ropes and takes a knee to the back from Dudley. A few tags back and forth by Warrior and Dudley as they work over Rick. Dudley cause for the classic double axe handle to the downed opponent and Rick gets the foot up. Tag to Scott who comes in with multiple clotheslines for everybody. The Steiners hit dual powerslams. Warrior gets caught coming off the top rope with a belly to belly by Scott followed by a Dragon suplex and doomsday bulldog for the win.<\/p>\n

Cactus Jack vs. World Champion The Sandman (w\/ Women) ref Jim Molineaux (Barbed Wire Match 1995-05-05)<\/strong><\/span>
\nSandman does not want to get in the ring to start this nontitle match so referee Jim Molineaux begins a 10 count. Cactus with an Irish whip Sandman tries to block it by slidding but crotches himself on the bottom strand of barbed wire. Cactus pulls him to the floor and hits him with a chair and garbage can. Back in the ring Sandman fights back and Cactus falls onto the wire. Sandman picks up Jack for a suplex but drops him on the wire. On the floor Cactus gets the cane and starts smacking Sandman with it. Clothesline over the guardrail into the crowd. More cane shots to Sandman\u2019s head. Sandman fights back and puts Jack\u2019s arm and face in the wire. Jack is bleeding from both places. Sandman dives over the wire with the cane in his hand and comes crashing down on Jack. Back in the ring Cactus hits Sandman and he falls backwards across the wire and to the floor. Back in the ring and Jack drags Sandman\u2019s face along the wire and now he\u2019s bleeding. Cactus picked up for a belly to back suplex but Sandman crotches him along all the wire instead. Sandman now wrapping himself in the wire Cactus fights him off before he can do anything with it. Jack pulls Sandman\u2019s shirt over his head and puts a garbage can along his face. Leg drop to the garbage can. Sandman with a hot shot to Jack. He picks him up to do it again but Jack pulls him down to a DDT and gets the three count.<\/p>\n

Our final match on the tape is exclusive to Extreme Warfare. Referee Bill Alfonso hits the ring before any of the wrestlers are there and kicks Jim Molineaux out of the ring because he does not have a women\u2019s referee license John Finnegan hits the ring but he can\u2019t do it either. Alfonso says Stevie Richards got his license and will be the referee for tonight\u2019s match.<\/p>\n

Beulah McGuillicutty (w\/ World Tag Team Champion Raven) vs. Francine ref World Tag Team Champion Stevie Richards (1995-08-26)<\/strong><\/span>
\nStevie gets on the mic and tells us he\u2019s going to check the girls for foreign objects. Raven pushes Stevie away from Beulah so Stevie goes to check his girlfriend Francine. The cat fight gets underway. They roll around on the ground a bit until Beulah gets on top and slams Francine\u2019s head into the mat. Francine thrown into the turnbuckle. Beulah takes off Francine\u2019s shirt and shorts and the crowd goes wild. Only in wrestling does sexual assault get cheered for. Beulah gets a frying pan from a audience member but Francine hits a low blow. Francine now smacks Beulah over the head with the frying pan. Raven gets in the ring and pulls Francine off. Beulah now stripped to her underwear. Raven comes in and again breaks up a pin attempt. Raven and Richards begin to argue and shove each other. Francine gets in Raven\u2019s face and he kicks her in the stomach. Stevie walks over to check on her and gets in Raven\u2019s face. He then turns and Stevie Kicks Francine. Beulah covers for the win. After the match Beaulh sets up Francine for a piledriver and Raven and Stevie help spike it down.<\/p>\n

My thoughts on the show<\/strong><\/span>
\nWhile I did enjoy most of what they picked for this tape with only one \u201cmatch\u201d that hasn\u2019t been seen before, good for a compilation it can be skipped.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
