Joey Styles welcomes us to the show and tonight we a return match between Sabu and Taz. Joey talks about how two weeks ago Terry Funk choked him and last week Jason ran him off. This week he says nothing is going to happen to him because he is interviewing Peaches. Peaches is shadow boxing and turns and punches Joey. Oh boy. Joey moans and groans. We go to Matty in the House who is hysterically laughing and asks for it to be replayed multiple times. I really can\u2019t stress how not funny this all was.<\/p>\n A highlight package on the Tazmaniac airs. It includes previously unaired clips from his match against Tommy Dreamer at November to Remember. Taz pinned Dreamer with a release northern lights suplex.<\/p>\n World & TV Champion Sabu (w\/ Paul E. Dangerously) vs. Tazmaniac (w\/ Tony Rumble), ref John Finnegan<\/strong><\/span> Tod Gordon hypes the $5 TV Taping coming up. The Shane Douglas video from last week airs. Matty in the House hypes the you pick the main event at Holiday Hell. Matty plays some brief highlight packages of Hawk, Terry Funk and Sabu, Sal Bellomo, Kevin Sullivan, Mr. Hughes and Jason, and Jim \u201cThe Anvil\u201d Neidhart.<\/p>\n The Sandman, JT Smith & Peaches vs. Tag Team Champions Johnny Hotbody & Tony Stetson & Hunter Q. Robbins III, ref John Finnegan<\/strong><\/span> Back from break, we see a replay of what just happened and Joey thinks that Jason paid off Hotbody and Stetson. We go to a special pretaped report. Joey is at the dressing room that Badd Company got beat down at by Public Enemy. They show the attack again and arrest of PE.<\/p>\n Hunter Q. Robbins III is backstage and he is complaining about how he has been screwed by ECW. He talks about all the talent he has brought into ECW only to have them leave or change managers. Robbins says he is going to plot the worst thing ECW has ever seen and he will rip the guts of ECW out.<\/p>\n My thoughts on the show\u2026<\/strong><\/span> [spacer height=”20px”][spacer height=”20px”]<\/p>\n TV 1993-12-07 (Matches taped 1993-12-04 at ECW Arena in Philadelphia, PA)<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n Champions Joey Styles is in the Eagle\u2019s Nest to welcome us to the show and he brings us right to our first match.<\/p>\n Mr. Hughes (w\/ Jason) vs. Mike Norman, ref Jim Molineaux<\/strong><\/span> Matty in the House announces that the fan picked main even for Holiday Hell is Terry Funk vs. Heavyweight & TV Champion Sabu. We get highlight packages of both competitors that include match and interview footage and some unseen clips of the November to Remember match. Paul E. Dangerously talks about how Funk\u2019s career is going to be dead 24 hours after Christmas. This was a real good promo from Paul E.<\/p>\n JT Smith vs. Johnny Hotbody (w\/ Hunter Q. Robbins III), ref John Finnegan<\/strong><\/span> Bad Breed vs. Tazmaniac & Kevin Sullivan (w\/ Woman), ref Jim Molineaux<\/strong><\/span> The Lumberjack (w\/ Hunter Q Robbins III) vs. Mr. X, ref John Finnegan<\/strong><\/span> We get a Rockin\u2019 Rebel highlight package next. Matty in the House brings us back to the incident between JT Smith and Kevin Sullivan. Matty tells us that Smith is ok but that he has had it and is fed up. Next week Smith will be interviewed by Matty. Matty goes over the tag team title scene and we see Tommy Dreamer and Johnny Gunn winning the titles again. Matty lets us know that next week Gunn and Dreamer take on Sullivan and Tazmaniac.<\/p>\n Joey is in the ring with \u201cThe Franchise\u201d Shane Douglas. Douglas says that Sherri is not in town but that Douglas is still in business. Woman comes out to the ring and since her and Sherri are best friends she offers her services to Douglas while Sherri is gone. Douglas checks out Woman and calls her beautiful but says she is no Sherri and leaves.<\/p>\n We are about to go to a Public Enemy interview from prison but first we get a warning from ECW and Sports Channel saying that the language is uncensored. Rocco Roc says that at Holiday Hell it\u2019s a Body Count Match. The rules will be Johnny Grunge and Paul Diamond are going to be locked in separate jail cells. Roc will fight Pat Tanaka. The winner of the match gets to free his partner and the loser gets their partners cage blown up. If there is no winner after 15 minutes both cages will explode. \nSabu dives at the legs then hits a clothesline and a quick frankensteiner. Taz comes back with a german that dumps Sabu onto his head. Paul E. trips up Taz as he hits the ropes. Rumble grabs Paul E. and throws him over his shoulder and carries him to the back. Taz hits another german that puts Sabu on his head and we go to commercial. Back from the break Sabu somersaults of the apron onto Taz who was standing on the floor. Back in the ring Sabu misses a corner charge and Taz starts stomping away. Taz whips Sabu into the ropes but Sabu springboards off and hits a leg lariat. Sabu with a second and he goes for a third but Taz catches him and hits a fall away slam. Tazmaniac throws Sabu out of the ring to the floor. Sabu tries to springboard back into the ring but slips and hits the mat. Rest hold time. Taz with a tbone suplex. Sabu comes back and goes for a springboard moonsault but Tazmaniac moves. Sabu stays on him though and hits a spin kick. Sabu slingshots himself into the ring from the apron with a leg drop for a 2 count. Sabu dives onto Taz on the floor and they brawl out there a bit. Back in the ring Sabu sends Taz into the corner and charges with a splash but Taz catches him with a overhead belly to belly. Sabu misses a moonsault but Taz stops the ref from making a 3 count. Taz goes up top and misses a somersault senton. Sabu splashes Taz and gets the pin. 12.10 of the match was shown.<\/p>\n
\nAgain this match took place the day before Tommy Dreamer and Johnny Gunn won the titles. Stetson and Hotbody are not announced as champions but were still holding the title at the time of this match. Robbins starts with Sandman so Sandman tags Peaches right away. Robbins tags Stetson and Sandman comes back in. Stetson beats down Sandman then tags in Hotbody. Hotbody with a drop kick and tags back to Stetson. They make a few more switches until Sandman makes a come back and throws Stetson to the floor. Sandman doesn\u2019t let anybody get into the ring and for some reason Hotbody and Stetson grab Robbins and throw him in. Peaches tags in kicks Robbins in the nuts and pins him in 5.51. Stetson and Hotbody attack from behind and throw Sandman and Smith to the floor. Jason and Mr. Hughes show up and beat up Sandman. Hughes hits a bossman slam on the floor.<\/p>\n
\nThe Sabu\/Tazmaniac match was one of the best matches of the year, though that\u2019s not saying much. That being said, give this show a watch. Thumbs up.<\/p>\n

\nHughes squashes Norman and finishes him off with a big sidewalk slam in 2.34. During the match Joey mentions that Hunter Q. Robbins III is bringing in the Lumberjack to tear apart ECW. So last week when he said he was going to bring someone in to rip the guts out of ECW a guy named the Lumberjack was who he had in mind. No wonder he\u2019s the worst manager in ECW.<\/p>\n
\nWait why is Robbins still with Hotbody? Smith is able to out wrestle Hotbody. That means Hotbody is super awful. Hotbody goes to the floor to regroup and just gets yelled at by Robbins. In the ring Smith with a fall away slam. Hotbody back to the floor and Robbins again yells at him to get back in. Smith with a belly to back with a bridge for 2. Hotbody takes out Smith\u2019s knee which has been injured for about an entire year at this point. Suplex for 2. Hotbody with a bunch of elbow drops but then gets up after the 2 count. Hotbody throws Smith to the floor and distracts the ref but Robbins does nothing. Hotbody with an elbow drop from the apron to the floor and he hits Smith in the knee with a chair. Hotbody comes off the to rope and jumps on Smith\u2019s knee. Smith breaks out of a spinning toe hold then kinda hits a clothesline. Smith throws Hotbody to the floor and then comes off the top with a crossbody. Smith is down holding his knee. Hotbody goes for a superplex but Smith blocks it and goes for a super sunset flip but they fuck it up and Hotbody falls right on his head. Double clothesline has both men down and Robbins gets on the apron and yells at the ref. Hotbody again goes for the superplex and this time hits it. Hotbody doesn\u2019t go for the pin but goes for an irish whip. Smith reverses it and Robbins hits Hotbody with his cane allowing Smith to get the win in 10.57. Styles talks about how Robbins was furious over Hotbody not going for the cover but in reality he was just standing their emotionless.<\/p>\n
\nJT Smith is leaving and he bumps into Woman as they are walking down the aisle. This makes Sullivan go crazy and beat the crap out Smith with a chair as well as powerbomb him on the floor. Meanwhile in the ring Tazmaniac hits a super belly to back suplex to pin Ian Rotten in .27.<\/p>\n
\nLumberjack with a press slam and heart punch for the win in .40. Joey claims Lumberjack is 6\u201910 and 340. Only problem with those claims is he\u2019s not much bigger then the ref.<\/p>\n
\nThumbs way down for this show. Three garbage squash matches and the only competitive match was between JT Smith and Johnny Hotbody and both those guys are just awful. Skip this one.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
