TV Champion “Superfly” Jimmy Snuka (w/ Magnificent” Don Muraco) vs. Metal Maniac, ref John Finnegan
Joey Styles makes his ECW TV debut here. Maniac with a sunset flip for 2. Snuka with a chop takes down Maniac. Styles lets us know that at Bloodfest coming up Snuka will defend in a steel cage against Terry Funk. Snuka with a crossbody but Maniac rolls through and gets 2. Maniac goes for a slam but Snuka gets a small package for the win in 2.35.
Joey Styles is in the control room and he hypes Bloodfest, the next big ECW show. We go to Ultraclash Tod Gordon and Matty in the House are interviewing Tigra and Angel concerning the Fall Swimwear Showdown coming up at Bloodfest. Matty tells them that they are hot but he wants to introduce them to the hottest one Women. Women makes her debut her and gets on the mic but Joey talks over her.
Styles very dramatically takes us to highlights of “Wildman” Sal Bellomo being attacked by Rockin’ Rebel at UltraClash. Back in the studio Styles is on the phone with Bellomo’s doctor. Bellomo has a fracture on his jaw, a broken nose, he lost 3 teeth and has a detached retina. The doctor says there is no way Bellomo will be able to wrestle at either night of Bloodfest. Styles questions if he will ever be able to wrestle again. The doctor says that they do not know right now.
Joey brings us to an interview that Jay Sulli conducted with JT Smith. Sulli wants to know if Smith will be able to make it to Bloodfest after his fall off the scaffold at UltraClash. Smith cuts an absolutely terrible promo. It was so bad I’m not even sure what he was trying to say he stuttered so much.
Matty in the House is in the studio with Public Enemy. They want the NWA Tag Team Belts. Roc wants the belts because he wants to get out of the ghetto. Enemy are very hyped up and challenge anybody to a tag team match. We get the Public Enemy versus Jason Knight and Ian Rotten match from UltraClash.
Jay Sulli comes running into the studio and tells him two guys are trying to break into his car. He runs outside to find the Public Enemy trying to break into his car. They play it off like they were just hanging out and help him into the car.
Paul E. Dangerously is backstage and he hypes ‘Bloodfest’ and Heavyweight Champion “Fabulous” Shane Douglas.
We see VERY brief clips of the Baseball Bat Match from Ultraclash.
We go back out to the parking lot where Public Enemy are challenging the Headhunters to a Bat Match. Lots of words are bleeped out. PE are going to get the belts, make some money, and move out of the hood.
Joey in the studio hypes Bloodfest’s 2 days worth of action one more time as we end the show.
My thoughts on the show…
This show was really boring. Only one new match and it wasn’t good. JT Smith has one of the worst interviews I have ever seen and Styles at this point was very green. Just watch the whole Sal Bellomo portion of the episode to get an idea of how bad this show is. Thumbs down on this.

Joey Styles lets us know that we are just three days away from NWA Bloodfest at the ECW Arena. Matty shows up and he is in the house!
Opening video.
Joey is in the control center. He runs down some of the matches and events coming at Bloodfest. Hunter Q. Robbins III is backstage and he has added a smug tone to his voice. Robbins is bringing in Sabu for the Bloodfest shows. We get a few highlights of Sabu in Japan.
Joey brings us highlights of the contestants in the Fall Fashion Show coming up at Bloodfest. Participants include Women, Angel, Tigra and Jay Sulli. Each of them cuts a very short promo during the video package.
Joey runs down some more of the card at Bloodfest and then throws it to our first match of the show.
PA State Champion Tony “The Hitman” Stetson (w/ Hunter Q Robbins III) vs. “Ironman” Tommy Cairo ref Jim Molinueax (UltraClash 1993-09-18)
Review of this match is taken directly from my UltraClash review. Stetson jumps Cairo before the match and beats him to the mat. Stetson throws Cairo to the floor outside the ring. Spinning heel kick by Cairo in the ring and Stetson goes to the floor. Cairo with northern lights suplex. Stetson tries to crawl out of the ring but crotches himself on the ring post. Back in the ring Stetson takes control but Cairo overpowers him and slams him. Cairo with a belly to belly but Stetson gets his foot on the rope. Another belly to belly for 2 and Stetson goes to the floor again. Back in Stetson slams Cairo and stomps away. Cairo with a corner whip and he charges with a back elbow Stetson gets his foot on the ropes on the pin attempt. Snap suplex but Stetson again with his foot on the rope. Flying clothesline by Stetson. Robbins distracts the ref allowing Stetson to hit Cairo with the belt and get the pin at 7.32.
Matty is in the house and he wants you to call the ECW Hotline to find out what matches are happening at Bloodfest on Friday and which are Saturday.
Joey is still very upset over what Rockin’ Rebel did to Sal Bellomo at UltraClash. He is pretty much about to cry and tells us to hid our children so they don’t see what happened.
“Wildman” Sal Bellomo vs. Canadian Wolfman ref Jim Molineaux (1993-08-08)
This match was filmed before Bellomo was injured at UltraClash. Joey and Paul E. Dangerously are on commentary. A bodyslam and splash finish off the Wolfman in 3.24. Those were seriously the only wrestling moves in the match.
After the match we go back to Joey and he brings us highlights from UltraClash when the Rebel attacked Bellomo. We go to last weeks phone call between Joey and Bellomo’s doctor.
A promo video airs for the Terry Funk vs. Jimmy Snuka cage match at Bloodfest. Back to Joey in the control center. Public Enemy takes on the Headhunters in a steel cage match and we see highlights of the Headhunter match from UltraClash with comments from the Public Enemy.
Kevin Sullivan is on the beach and tells Abdullah the Butcher that he is not afraid of him. Sullivan hypes the match he has coming up at Bloodfest with Abdullah and we see clips of what happened between them at UltraClash. Women joins Sullivan and says that she is going to be at ringside for the match after she wins the Fall Fashion Show.
My thoughts on the show…
A fairly weak episode here. One match from UltraClash, and then a bad Sal Bellomo match, as well as some hype for ‘Bloodfest’ that didn’t get me interested in it at all. This show gets a thumbs down. A couple of bad shows in a row, but I’m sure things will turn back around.
