Champions
World: Raven
TV: Shane Douglas
Tag Team: Gangstas
We open up and TV Champion “The Franchise” Shane Douglas has Pitbull 2 in a full nelson and World Champion Raven and his whole group are in the ring. Sandman comes down and canes everyone. Raven of course puts Tyler in between himself and Raven. Tyler does the Raven pose and Sandman grabs him and puts him over his knee to spank him. “Primetime” Brian Lee comes up from behind kicks Sandman and Raven DDTs him. Tyler stands over his dad and does the Raven pose again.
Opening video.
Joey Styles of course welcomes us to the show. He runs down the feuds between Douglas and Pitbull and Raven and Sandman. Joey brings us to video of Tyler Fullington’s seventh birthday party. It’s just Raven and Tyler sitting at a table. Tyler complains that it sucks and Blue Meanie comes out dressed like a clown to try and entertain. Meanie wants to play hide and seek so Tyler goes to the closet and finds a present that the Sandman dropped off. Tyler gets excited by it so Raven takes it and throws it away.
This Friday night ECW is in the Lu Lu Temple. The Gangstas cut a promo on WWF who is going to have a PPV in Philly. New Jack says they won’t be able to stop all the ECW fans that are going to show up. New Jack dares anyone from the WWF to show up on Friday night.
We get a story about ECW that aired on the TV show American Journal. The clip shows Taz telling the interviewer that he is an asshole. Joey replays that portion of the story and talks about how he can’t stand Taz.
Tommy Dreamer is back stage and Beulah is dripping hot wax on him Dreamer says that he will make Raven and Brian Lee feel their pain because their pain is their pleasure.
We go back to Natural Born Killaz when Shane Douglas almost cost the Gangstas their match with the Eliminators. Joey talks about the tag match with Sammy the Silk and Shane Douglas against the Gangstas from Unlucky Lottery. We learn a little more about the injuries that Sammy had that night. Joey tells us that two weeks ago Sammy was in a street fight in Florida that left him with over 100 stiches in his elbow and over 50 in his throat. The Gangstas are outside in a parking lot and New Jack tells Shane they are going to put him through a meat grinder.
TV Champion “The Franchise” Shane Douglas (w/ Francine) vs. Louie Spicolli ref John Finnegan
Douglas pulls the “if the fans don’t shut up I’m leaving”. Spicolli gets on the mic and says he needs to stop worrying about the fans and start worrying about the guy that’s going to kick his ass. Spicolli fires away on Shane and he bails to the floor. Spicolli quickly goes for the DVD but Shane slips out and again goes to the floor. Spicolli with some mat wrestling and again Shane bails out. Suplex back into the ring but Shane flips out and slaps Spicolli. Spicolli is hot and he slams Shane into the turnbuckle. Shane with a mule kick low on Spicolli and an inverted atomic drop to gain control. Swinging neck breaker for 2. Spicolli comes back with one of his own and Shane just barley kicks out before 3. Spicolli with a submission but Francine distracts him and he goes out after her. Shane hits a baseball slide and grabs a chair. Douglas throws Spicolli into the crowd and goes up top. Shane hits a long crossbody into the crowd and we go to commercial.
Raven is sitting with Lori Fullington and he cuts a promo on Rob Van Dam who he will be wrestling on Friday at the Lu Lu Temple.
Back to the match and Spicolli is in control still outside of the ring. They mess up a tombstone reversal spot and Spicolli gets 2. Spinebuster for 2. Spicolli goes for the DVD but Shane is close to the ropes and grabs onto them. Spicolli throws Shane to the floor and follows. Shane gets the advantage by slamming Spicolli into a table. Back in the ring Spicolli goes for the DVD again and looks to have it but Francine jumps into the ring and breaks it up. Shane hits a hangman’s neckbreaker and the belly to belly for the pin in 16.20 shown. Time of the match is announced as 19.22. Spicolli is down holding his neck and crew comes out from the back as Shane stands over him.
Lance Wright is in the ring and says he is so excited to conduct his first ever in ring interview in ECW with Shane Douglas. Joel Gertner jumps in the ring and tells Wright to leave. They argue back and forth as Shane and Francine watch on and laugh. Gertner slaps Wright and Wright tackles him. Douglas grabs Wright and hits a single arm DDT and locks in a full nelson until Pitbull 2 makes the save, and Lance Wright is off to WWF land.
My thoughts on the show…
The Raven stuff was pretty lame this week compared to usual. But a very solid match between Douglas and Spicolli gets this show a thumbs up.

Champions
World: Raven
TV: Shane Douglas
Tag Team: Gangstas
Last nights card at the Lu Lu Temple is not available which is kind of a bummer as I’d be interested in seeing the final four matches that took place. Here’s the run down as listed in the results section of the website.
New Jack defeated JT Smith & Little Guido via pinfall in a “handicap” match.
Doug Furnas defeated Hack Meyers.
Terry Gordy defeated Brian Lee in a “spike” match.
Mikey Whipwreck defeated Devon Storm.
Tommy Dreamer defeated John Kronus.
Sandman defeated Matty Smalls.
Taz defeated Louie Spicolli.
TV Champion Pitbull #2 defeated Shane Douglas via DQ.
Sabu defeated Perry Saturn.
World Champion Raven defeated Rob Van Dam.
Tonight we do get the Eliminators versus Sabu and Rob Van Dam and a steel cage main even.
We start off with Bill Alfonso climbing into the ring and kick Joey Styles out. Alfonso has a giant gold ribbon pinned to his chest, perhaps he won something at the fair! As usual I can’t here anything that’s being said. Out comes Tod Gordon and he tells Alfonso to leave or he’s going to kick his ass. Alfonso then says that he’s going to kick Gordon’s butt. They go back and forth a bit. Gordon ultimately gets the upper hand before some refs and a few wrestlers come out to break them apart.
Damien 666 vs. Louie Spicolli, ref John “Pee Wee” Moore
Spicolli gets a nice pop. I have no clue if they ever actually did but I imagine these two have wrestled in Mexico before. Joey handles the ring announcing duties. Damien with a kick to the knee. Spicolli reverses a corner whip and hits a clothesline. Damien gets whipped again but comes off the second rope with a crossbody. Damien with a headstand on the top turnbuckle and as Spicolli charges he gets headscrissored and goes to the floor. Damien with a somersault dive to the floor. Spicolli sends Damien into the guardrail. Damien fights back and sends him into it. Damien fights with a fan over a hair and when he finally gets it he nails Louie. Damien with some boots and a leg drop for 2. Louie with a small package for 2. Damien goes after the shoulder of Louie which is bandaged up. Louie throws Damien to the floor just as the crowd starts to get restless. Damien gets sent into the crowd and dragged back out into the ring. Damien nails Louie but then gets backdropped to the floor. Louie gets a chair and nails Damien with it. Damien ducks a clothesline but then gets spinebustered for 2. Louie with a northern lights for 2. Louie hits a sick looking piledriver but it only gets another 2. Louie nails two clotheslines, Damien ducks a third goes for his own but gets cradled and nailed with the DVD to the crowds delight. Louie gets the win in 5.17. The crowd begs for one more and Spicolli makes them up and leaves as the fans chant his name.
“The Shah” Hack Meyers vs. Doug Furnas
I don’t know who the ref is but he’s like 90 years old. Furnas runs through Meyers with a shoulder block. Headlock takeover by Furnas, Myers into a head scissor and Furnas breaks away. They do the same thing only switched and Hack breaks away. Hack with some arm wringers. They each do a leg sweep and 1 count. Furnas up and he nails The Shah with a clothesline. Furnas with some boots in the corner and a powerslam off the tops for 2. Meyers comes back with a boot to the gut and a swinging neck breaker for 2. Furnas ducks a back elbow coming off the ropes and hits a drop kick. Furnas whips Meyers into the corner and charges but eats a back elbow. Meyers with a few corner whips of his own followed by a running back elbow. Meyers hits the leg drop from the apron and goes for his finisher. Furnas breaks away and Meyers jumps at him but gets caught in a powerslam for 2. Furnas ducks a clothesline and hits a release german the drops Meyers on the top of his to get the pin in 6.13.
Tag Team Champions The Gangstas vs. Samoan Gangsta Party, ref Jim Molineaux
Well I’ll be back in five or so minutes to let you know who wins……. Faster then I expected. New Jack pinned Matty Smalls in 2.40 when he came off the top with a chair as Matty was fighting Mustafa. Interesting weapons in the match included a wooden egg crate and a tire rim.
The Erotic Experience vs. Buh Buh Ray Dudley & Spike Dudley (w/ Sign Guy Dudley), ref John Finnegan
The Experience are G.Q. Gorgeous Quartermaine, who would later be known as Chris Chetti and “Precious” Pat Day. I saw online someone say his name was Pat Friday but Joey sounded like he said Day and not Friday. It’s hard to confirm this as the team never made it to TV. They play a couple of effeminate guys who dance their way to the ring and blow kisses, well Friday dances Quartermaine just stiffly walks to the ring. Friday tries to leap into the ring but trips (on purpose) so the crowd can make even more fun of them. There’s a guy in the crowd dressed like Buh Buh. Three ECW debuts in one match! Spike reminds me of a Chihuahua just yapping at your ankles. We get the bell but The Experience are to busy helping each other with their robes. This of course brings gay slurs from the crowd. I wonder if people are still big enough douche bags for a gimmick like this to work that way now. After 4 minutes Day is finally ready to wrestle. Buh Buh does a dance step and Day does a hip swivel as hope for a dance off! They lock up and Buh Buh pushes Day to the ground. Day hides in the corner so Buh Buh can’t get to him. They lock up again and we get the same thing. Day runs around the ring and tags Quartermaine in. GQ charges and gets tackled twice. Crowd chants boring as we cross 7 minutes, I’d have to agree. Spike tags in hits a hip toss and drop kick on both man and they bail to the floor. Back in the ring spike with a snap mare and he rakes the eyes with his boots. Buh Buh tags in and comes off the top with an axe handle to the arm. Buh Buh now stays on the arm. Spike comes back in and goes for 3 different types of roll ups getting 2 each time. GQ able to whip Spike sternum first into the corner. Day chokes Spike from the apron behind the refs back. Day tags in and hits a nice looking dropkick. The crowd cheers then immediately realizing their “mistake” begin to chant “you still suck dick” at Day. Day runs through Spike with a clothesline. GQ tags back in and they hit a double flying shoulder block. Spike goes for a leapfrog but gets caught mid air and powerslammed for 2. Double clothesline attempt by the Experience but Spike ducks and hits them both with a drop kick. Buh Buh tags in and cleans house on his opponents. Buh Buh with an avalanche in the corner onto GQ. Then he press slams Spike and throws him into Day for a 2 count. GQ breaks up the pin but then gets nailed with a bossman slam. Day now breaks it up. Buh Buh ducks a double clothesline then drops to the crowd so Spike and run off him and clothesline the other two. They bail to the floor so Buh Buh throws Spike onto them. Buh Buh hits a power bomb onto GQ. Buh Buh sits on the top rope and Spike climbs to his shoulders and splashes off them for the win in 16.13. D-Von Dudley meets the rest of his brothers in the asile and gose after them with a chair. Experience try to help they go bavck and forth for a bit until Big Dick Dudley shows up and chokeslams Erotic Experience. Dick throws Spike into D-Von but he catches and slams Spike. D-Von leaves and then Buh Buh dives over the ropes onto him and Experience. Buh Buh and D-Von fight a bit more.
Little Guido (w/ Big Guido & JT Smith) vs. Tommy Dreamer (w/ Beulah), ref John “Pee Wee” Moore
Smith with some mic time before the match. He sings Sinatra. Dreamer and Beulah out now and Beulah sporting a soft cast on her right arm. Smith back on the mic and I think he asks Beulah to join the FBI. Tommy tells JT that he already has two girl friends pointing to the Guido brothers so Smith doesn’t need Beulah. Smith offers Dreamer money and they hug but then Dreamer clotheslines Smith. Little Guido pulls Dreamer to the floor. Smith comes off the top but hits Guido be accident. Into the ring for our match to officially start. Dreamer with a fall away slam and leg drop between the legs. Slam by Dreamer and he goes up top but misses a frog splash. Guido puts the boots to Dreamer and throws him to the floor for his buddies to go to work. Dreamer hits the guardrail. Then the Guidos take turns hitting him with a chair. Guido with a corner charge catches a back elbow but is able to remain in control by landing a drop toe hold. Smith hits Dreamer with a chair behind the refs back and Guido gets 2 after a swinging neck breaker. Tornado DDT from the second rope by Guido. Guido now goes all the way up top but he misses a leg drop. Dreamer goes for a piledriver but Guido powers him over and then goes to the floor to get a chair. Smith holding Dreamer on the apron. Guido charges but Dreamer moves. He stops so he doesn’t hit Smith. Guido dugs a clothesline, Dreamer hits Smith with it then Dreamer grabs Guido and DDTs him on the chair for the win in 4.45.
Mikey Whipwreck vs. Taz (w/ Team Taz & Bill Alfonso), ref John Finnegan
This is the ninth meeting this year between these two men. Taz is 8-0. Taz starts off with a head lock takeover but Mikey gets to the ropes. A bunch of stand switches end with Taz snapmaring Mikey and going into a cross arm breaker. Mikey quickly to the ropes. Taz with a clothesline and then he beats the crap out of Mikey. Mikey comes back with a hip toss and arm drag and Taz drops to the floor. Mikey dives onto him. Mikey goes for an up and over in the corner but Taz catches his legs and then gives him the alabama slam. Clothesline by Taz and he mocks Sabu. Front face lock but Taz breaks it himself. Mikey ducks his head for a back drop but Taz stops and suplexes him. Taz beats on Mikey some more. Mikey with a quick small package but Taz kicks out. Mikey goes up and over and when Taz catches the feet Mikey this time hits a head scissor. Mikey with a belly to back for 2 as he makes a comeback. Mikey slaps Alfonso then goes up top and dives onto Team Taz. He comes off the top towards Taz but gets caught in a belly to belly. T bone and Tazmission end the match in 8.30. Taz talks shit to Sabu after the match and threatens a bunch of fans.
“Primetime” Brian Lee vs. Terry “Bamm Bamm” Gordy
Freebird is such a great song. Gordy runs the ropes before the match and Lee jumps in his path with a clothesline. Lee misses a knee drop off the second rope and they go to the floor. Gordy nails Lee with a chair a few times. They go back to the ring where Gordy lands a drop kick. Lee again bails and tries to leave this time. Gordy gets him and slams him into the ring post and apron before throwing him back in the ring. Belly to back gets only a 1 count. Gordy with a corner whip and he follows closely behind with a clothesline. He does it again and goes for a third but Lee grabs the ref and pulls him in the way. Gordy gets Lee down and goes for the Asiatic spike. The Eliminators comes down and hit Total Elimination on Gordy while he still has the hold put on. It looked pretty cool. Lee puts the spike on Gordy as the ref wakes up and makes the count ending the match in just 2.55.
TV Champion “The Franchise” Shane Douglas (w/ Francine) vs. Pitbull 2 (w/ Pitbull 1), ref Jim Molineaux
Shane nails Pitbull with the belt right away and then picks up for a hanging vertical suplex. Back body drop and Pitbull tires to go to a corner to get away. Shane stays on the attack and stomps away on Pitbull. Shane with a snapmare and camel clutch as a “break his neck” chant goes out. Pitbull fights out of it and drops Shane on the turnbuckle. He whips Shane into the corner but then ducks his head as Shane comes out and goes down from a swinging neck breaker for 2. Shane now with a slam and he goes up top. Shane comes off with a splash for 2. Francine pokes at Pitbull 1 with a chair. Shane tries to sneak up behind Pitbull and hit him with a chair but #2 jumps in the way and attacks Shane. He press Shane and drops him ribs first on the guardrail. Pitbull with a neck wrentch and the fans now want Shane’s neck broken. Pile driver gets 2 but Francine jumps in the ring and stops the count. Pitbull goes after her but Shane kicks him low and gets 2. Shane with a bear hug but Pitbull fights out of it with an overhead belly to belly. Francine again stops the pin but this time Pitbull 1 pulls her out of the ring. Pitbull 2 whips Shane into the corner and tries to slam him coming out but Shane slides behind rolls up Pitbull grabs the tights and retains the title in 7.03. Joel Getner grabs the mic from Joey to announce Shane as the winner but gets chased into the ring by Pitbull 1. Pitbull 2 hits a super fall away slam on him.
Sabu & Rob Van Dam vs. The Eliminators, ref John Finnegan
So this should be really awesome. Saturn has stitches on his cheek guessing from last night. This is our first chance to see Van Dam and Sabu team up. Sabu and Van Dam argue over whose going to start the match. Van Dam wins that fight. Saturn on the other side of the ring. Nice mat wrestling spot to start with lots of reversals. It ends when Saturn gets an armbar on the mat and tags Kronus who comes in with stomps. Those two wrestle on the mat a bit and Sabu tags in. My thoughts on the show…
The first two contests were decent enough. Spicolli has a really nice following and Furnas helped get Hack Meyers into a watchable match. The Erotic Experience did a decent job of getting their gimmick over however the match sucked. Taz/Mikey was alright and the last two matches were pretty good making this show mildly recommended. For a Fancam event, that’s a positive.
