Tag Team: Gangstas

Bad Crew vs. Buh Buh Ray Dudley & “The Shah’ Hack Meyers (w/ Sign Guy Dudley), ref John “Pee Wee” Moore
Buh Buh and Hack charge the ring and attack. Once things settle Bad Crew hits a heart attack clothesline on Buh Buh but Hack comes in to break up the pin. Buh Buh with a bossman slam as Hack punches away in the corner. Buh Buh with a top rope splash. Buh Buh and Hack each get a pin at 2.35 but I don’t know with what because the wonderful camera crew at RF Video did not have their camera in focus.

Johnny Smith vs. Super Nova (w/ Stevie Richards & Blue Meanie)
HAHAHAH so before the match starts we have what appears to be a fan explaining to the camera man how to use the zoom and how to focus the camera. We get the bell but Stevie jump in the ring and gets on the mic. Stevie tells Johnny to tell that bitch Queen of England she owes Meanie $35 and they will break her arm if she doesn’t pay up. Smith chases Stevie out of the ring and then goes after the arm of Nova. Back breaker for 2. Boston carb and a gutwrench suplex are met with “boring” chants. Smith picks up Nova for a suplex but hangs him up on the top rope instead. Smith hits the ropes and gets tripped up by Richards and Nova attacks from behind. Nova on offense for a few minutes doing nothing of note. Smith comes back with a DDT and missile drop kick followed by a clothesline for 2. A nice looking powerslam only gets 2 but Smith follows that up with a tigerbomb for the win in 7.28

Submission or Knock Out Match: Little Guido (w/ JT Smith & Sal Bellomo) vs. Taz (w/ Bill Alfonso), ref John Finnegan
Alfonso on the mic before the match rants about how no one can beat Taz. Smith gets the mic after and our camera goes in and out of focus some more. I think Taz suplexes Smith but again it’s pretty hard to see anything. Surprisingly Taz lets Guido get in some submission attempts early on. Taz with a belly to belly suplex and he locks in the tazmission for the win at 2.33. After the match we get a foul language filled tirade from Taz about how he hates Sabu.

Mikey Whipwreck & Louie Spicolli vs. Dan Kroffat & Doug Furnas, ref Jim Molineaux
Furnas starts off with Mikey. I’m expecting this match to be real good. Same mat wrestling to start and Louie tags in. Kroffat tags in and gives Louie some stiff kicks and loud chops. Louie answers back with chops of his own. Mikey back in and he comes off the top with a double axe handle. Kroffat comes back and grabs the arm and locks Mikey into a cross arm breaker. Furnas tags back in. Crowd getting restless as about 4 minutes not much has happened. Kroffat back in with some hard knees to Mikey. Mikey ducks a clothesline but catches a spin kick in the face. Furnas tags back in and hits a nice drop kick for 2. Krofatt back in and Mikey goes for his legs but Kroffat grabs him and hits a tigerbomb for 2. He follows that with a superkick and then tags Furnas. Mikey hits a frankensteiner and is able to tag out. Louie comes in and starts cleaning house. Mikey joins him and the whip their opponets into each other. Spinbuster by Louie and Furnas drops Mikey on the guardrail outside the ring. Northern lights by Louie but Kroffat kicks out. Kroffat grabs Louie and cobra clutch leg sweep and gets the pin in 7.57.

“Dangerous” Devon Storm vs. “Dr. Death” Steve Williams, ref John Finnegan
The great thing about this match is that Damien Kane is not here!!!! Williams beating the crap out of Storm in and out of the ring. Oklahoma slam and a three cout at 2.30. The Eliminators hit the ring and go after Williams. Tommy Dreamer comes out to make the save and they fight off Saturn and Kronus. These four men as well as Terry “Bamm Bamm” Gordy and “Primetime” Brian Lee meet in a 6man tag match tomorrow night.

ECW Tag Team Champions The Gangstas vs. TV Champion Shane Douglas (w/ Francine) & Sammy the Silk (AKA Samu), ref John “Pee Wee” Moore
Shane comes out and taunts the Gangstas with his belt. This confuses me because they have their own belts so why would that make them mad. New Jack gets on the mic and talks some shit and calls Francine names. Sammy goes after the Gangstas but they double team him as Shane just stands on the apron cheering him on. Shane drops down to the floor every time New Jack goes towards him. Sammy with a big clothesline takes down Mustafa. Shane refuses to tag and as Sammy turns around New Jack comes off the top rope with the 187 to his head. New Jack gets the pin in 2.17. Douglas gets in the ring and yells at Sammy for sucking. Sammy pushes him and Shane hits him with the belt. Swinging neckbreaker by Shane but two other members of the Samoan Gangsta Party come out to make the save. Sammy is down in the ring and seems like he could be legit hurt. After a few minutes he gets up and gets a mic and talks shit about New Jack and Douglas. The fans chant “asshole” at him so he moons everybody.

Saturn vs. Pitbull 2 (w/ Pitbull 1), ref Jim Molineaux
They trade a few blows and reverse each other’s moves to start off. Saturn goes for a springboard moonsault and gets caught in a running powerslam. Pitbull with a press slam for 2 and a powerbomb for another 2 count. Pitbull goes for another powermomb and I think they were going to reverse it into a frankensteiner but Sautrn gets dropped right on his head. They go to the floor and brawl and Saturn seems ok. They fight into the crowd and back to the ring with Pitbull being in control. He comes off the top rope but Saturn drop kicks him on his way down. Pitbull comes back and hits a super fall away slam. They go back to the floor and Pitbull tries a plancha but misses. Back in the ring Saturn with a diamond cutter. Pitbull breaks free of a chin lock but ducks his head as Saturn comes of an irish whip and gets neck breakered. Brainbuster by Saturn followed by an enziguri for 2. Pitbull with a reverse northern lights suplex but cant follow up on it. Saturn comes off the top with an elbow drop for 2. A neckbreaker by Saturn and he goes back up top. This time Saturn hits a knee to the back of the neck of Pitbull. Saturn really working over the neck. Pitbull 1 thinking about throwing in the towel but 2 reaches out and stops him. Piledriver by Saturn and he goes up top for a third times and hits a leg drop. Pitbull 1 throws in the towel but Saturn catches it and throws it back at him. The ref sees none of this and Pitbull 2 crawls up behind Saturn and school boys him for the surprise pin in 13.46.

Falls Count Anywhere Match: Sandman & Tommy Dreamer (w/ Beulah) vs. World Champion Raven & “Primetime” Brian Lee (w/ Tyler & Lori Fullington, Super Nova, Blue Meanie & Stevie Richards), refs John Finnegan & “Pee Wee” Moore
Sandman wants to hug Tyler but Tyler gives him the Raven taunt. They brawl right away and go to the floor and into the crowd. In the ring after a few minutes Lee with the Asiatic spike but Sandman breaks it up and they go back into the crowd. Lee smashes the crap out of Dreamer with a guardrail. Raven and Tommy now in the ring and Stevie hits a superkick for 2. Raven has been busted wide open. They again go back to the floor. Dreamer with a piledriver on a deep freezer for 2. All four men brawling all over the building. Sandman is also bleeding. In the ring Raven gets the cane and nails Sandman and Dreamer. Dreamer with a low blow to Raven. Sandman gets the cane but Raven pulls Tyler in the way. Lee with a chokeslam on Dreamer. Lee now grabs Sandman but he fights him off with the cane. Sandman with a DDT on Raven and he gets the pin in 10.41. The crowd goes bonkers over the win.

Sabu vs. Rob Van Dam, ref Jim Molineaux
They fight over Van Dam’s leg. He breaks away from Sabu and does a back flip which the crowd mocks him about! Sabu flips out of a back drop and drop kicks Van Dam in the knee. Van Dam goes to the floor and Sabu goes after him but gets sent into the guardrail. Sabu reverses a suplex and drops Van Dam across the rail. Sabu sets up a table and puts Van Dam on it. He goes for a triple jump Van Dam rolls into the crowd and Sabu dives on him. Van Dam with an awful looking crossbody and the crowd chants “that was weak” at him. Split legged moonsault by Van Dam and he points to himself a bit. Rolling thunder leg drop for 2. Van Dam with a chair to the head and another leg drop for 2. Sabu picks up the chair and throws it at Rob a few times. Sabu puts Van Dam on the second rope and hits a split legged moonsault onto Van Dam. It looked pretty damn cool. Van Dam drop kicks Sabu off the top rope and goes for the slingshot legdrop with the chair on the face. Sabu throws the chair at him though. Sabu with a NASTY looking triple jump DDT through the table outside! Back in the ring Sabu goes for a somersault leg drop off the top but misses. Monkey flip onto a chair by Van Dam for 2. Bulldog onto the chair for another 2. Van Dam misses and spilt legged moonsault. Sabu with a triple jump DDT in the ring. He goes for another triple jump but crotches himself on the rope. Van Dam with a spring board kick. Front butterfly suplex for 2 as we cross the 15 minute mark. Frankensteiner by Sabu he goes for another triple jump and slips again on the ropes. Van Dam takes advantage but then gets clotheslined. Sabu finally hits the triple jump moonsault and wins the finally battle between Sabu and Rob Van Dam in 16.45. They go to shake hands but Kroffat and Furnas attack from behind. They all brawl to the back.

The Samoan Gangsta Party film an interview back stage. Louie Spicolli helps move around some lights as there are shadows on scars that New Jack put on Sammy the Silk. At on point Louie gets up on a small chair. Paul E. seems very worried and keeps telling him to be careful. It’s pretty funny stuff. They do a few takes and then Gabe the camera men notices that he has a light on the camera that he can turn on.

My thoughts on the show…
Probably my least favorite Van Dam/Sabu match of the match but even still, a very decent match. Plus a little lead into tomorrow’s tag team match. Not a bad show but nothing really worth checking out. Just a bland show. Thumbs in the middle.
