Some editing problems I guess as the first five or so minutes are the same from last week with all the highlights from the week before that.

Jason is in the shower and for some reason an ECW camera shows up. He doesn’t say much.

Tod Gordon is in his office and he’s freaking out about ECW being out of control and the fans wanting to know what he’s going to do to stop it. Gordon says instead of stopping it he’s going to try to top it! Gordon runs down the March 5th card.

Tommy Dreamer, Rockin’ Rebel & Pitbull (w/ Hunter Q Robbins & Jason) vs. Tommy Dreamer, Sal Bellomo & “Ironman” Tommy Cairo, ref John Finnegan
Pitbull and Cairo start it off and Pitbull hits a russian leg sweep and belly to belly suplex. Cairo getting worked over and PItbull hits a snap suplex. Cairo reverses an irish whip and hits a powerslam. Spin kick and Cairo tags Sal. They face team tags back and forth a few times until Rebel and Sal end up in the ring together. Rebel takes control and tags Pitbull back. This has been 6 minutes and is making me want to murder myself. Sal gets doubled and triple teamed in the corner a bit. Snuka finally comes in after 7 and a half minutes. Sal comes back and slams Snuka allowing him to tag Dreamer. Rebel and Pitbull come in the ring and “hold Snuka back”. Joey screaming about how Snuka could easily get away from everyone if he really wanted a piece of Dreamer. Snuka leaves the ring and it;s now Pitbull and Dreamer. Both teams each get the advantage for a bit. Bellomo ends this at 12.40 after a splash on Rebel. All three winners get beat down after the match. Cairo and Dreamer are able to recover and chase everyone off as they beat on Sal.

Matty in the House is with Jason. Jason talks about how a few years ago when he was trying to break into wrestling and Hawk and Animal tried to break his neck with the doomsday device. Jason rips off his suit and gets very angry and begins to yell. Jason time we have seen Jason so bent out of shape. Jason says that Hawk did it because he was jealous. He says the next time Hawk sees him he will be dressed up again and will have his composer about himself. He just needed to get this off his chest. Jason says he has a surprise for Hawk on the 5th. A pretty intense and out of character interview from Jason. I enjoyed it.

Sabu & 911 (w/ Paul E Dangerously) vs. Bad Breed
Sabu hits the ring ahead of his partner and goes after Bad Breed. They brawl and then 911 chokes out both Bad Breed and gets DQed in 2.18. After the match Sabu attacks until he is dragged to the back by 911 and a masked man.

Shane Douglas “Are You Gonna Go My Way” video package airs.

Tag Team Champions Kevin Sullivan & Tazmaniac (w/ Woman) vs. Bruise Brothers
Ron and Don Harris attack in the aisle and they brawl all over the place. Multiple refs get knocked out. Sullivan gets hit with a big boot and Tazmaniac nails a german suplex. Double pin in 2.52. The Bruise Brothers take the belts Sullivan and Tazmaniac meet them in the aisle. Public Enemy sneak out and steal the belts and bring them to the back. This would apparently lead to the titles being held up but it was never discussed on TV.

Jay Sulli is with PE backstage. PE says the belts are theres now. The other two teams show up and they all argue over the belt.

My thoughts on the show…
Fuck, did that six man suck and take forever. I really liked the Jason promo and the tag brawl at the end was fun.

911 (w/ Paul E Dangerously) vs. Mikey Whipwreck & Paul Lauria (1994-03-05)
Crowd is super fucking loud with a huge “911” chant. Double choke slam and pin in .18. More after the match. A few ring crew guys get some also. This was awesome and the fans were losing their shit.

Opening video.

Joey Styles welcomes us and lets us know that “The Franchise” Shane Douglas with be his guest commentator tonight.

Bad Breed vs. “Hitman” Tony Stetson & Johnny Hotbody, ref Jim Molineaux (1994-03-06)
Wait what? Why are Hotbody and Stetson back together? Stetson and Hotbody have a miss cue and bump into each other and argue a bunch. Stetson gets beat on and Hotbody refuses to make the tag. Hotbody finally comes in and he just gets destroyed. Ian nails a nasty looking double arm DDT but then misses a dive off the apron to the floor. Hotbody with a snap suplex on the floor. Hotbody maintains control and nails a superplex. Stetson asks for a tag and gets it but then he and Hotbody argue. The Rottens switch in the ring and Axl school boys Stetson for the win. Ok so this match made no sense. I don’t get why they were teaming again and also why the Rottens had to finish it that way after dominating most of the match. Stupid booking. 7.55 was the time.

Sandman vs. Chad Austin, ref Jim Molineaux (1994-03-05)
Sandman with an implant DDT and pin in .09. He does it again and out comes Peaches. She yells at him for being a dick and he twists her arm. Tommy Cairo comes out to calm things down and Sandman nails him and hits the DDT. Peaches yells at him and tells him to leave and the fans cheer loudly for the abusive drunk.

Bruise Brothers vs. Hack Myers & Bob Starr (1994-03-06)
The Bruise Brothers come down the aisle dragging their opponents and beating the shit out of them. Running powerslam and snap suplex in the ring as Hack gets beat on outside of the ring. Double big boot and that’s it in 1.09. The Harris brothers beat them to the back.

Tag Team Champions Kevin Sullivan & Tazmaniac (w/ Woman) vs. Public Enemy, ref Jim Molineaux (1994-03-06)
Sullivan brawls with Rocco Roc and Tazmaniac with Johnny Grunge. After a few minutes the Bruise Brothers hit the ring. Sullivan picks up Roc for a slam but Tazmaniac gets a big boot and gently bumps into them on his way down knocking them over. Roc lands on top of Sullivan getting the pin in 2.29.

Jay Sulli is trying to interview the new Tag Team Champions but they have run out of the arena with the belts. Kevin Sullivan, Tazmaniac and Woman are backstage. Sullivan is mad and says that since you can do whatever you want in ECW they have brought in Crash. Crash just growls a lot.

Hype video for the Hawk versus Pitbull match coming up later tonight.

Matty in the House announces the main event for March 26th Double Jeopardy. It’s a double main event as “Superfly” Jimmy Snuka takes on Tommy Dreamer and then Shane Douglas, Mr Hughes and Tag Team Champions Public Enemy take on Champion Terry Funk, Hawk, Kevin Sullivan & Tazmaniac. Both matches are set to take place in a cage! Matty shows us the end of the Snuka Dreamer match from the 5th. Dreamer had a small package on Snuka but Hunter Q. Robbins III came in and nailed him with his cane. Snuka nails Dreamer with a piledriver on the floor and then sends him into the ring post. Dreamer gets busted open. Dreamer gets nailed with a chair a few times and Snuka climbs the top rope and hits the superbly splash. Ultimate Jeopardy video package which features lots of clips from the matches on the 5th that featured the participants. During the Funk Douglas match everyone else from the Jeopardy match got involved. The way Ultimate Jeopardy works is there is a stipulation attached to each person and should they be the one to take the fall that stipulation will be carried out. Douglas gets his head shaved, Funk loses the title, Rocco Roc or Johnny Grunge would lose the titles, Tazmaniac and Sullivan would have to split up, Hughes losing gives everyone on the other team 5 minutes in the cage with Jason, Hawk has to give up the Road Warrior nickname.

Pitbull (w/ Jason) vs. Road Warrior Hawk, Jim Molineaux (1994-03-06)
Hawk gets clotheslined and kicked but refuses to take a bump. Hawk sent into the corner but he comes charging out and hits a clothesline then the doomsday device for the win in 1.50. Jason comes in and gets press slammed into Jason. All the Ultimate Jeopardy guys come out and they brawl to end the show.

My thoughts on the show…
911 is insanely over already. The finish to the tag team title match was pretty awful. Nothing special going on here.

Douglas sends Sherri to the dressing room. Woman is not out because she is preparing Tazmaniac for his TV Title match later tonight. Rocco Roc and Sullivan start off. Three clotheslines by Sullivan send Roc to the floor. Crash tags in and hits a powerslam and then tags Funk. Funk goes up for a moonsault but Shane knocks him off the top. Crash decides that he’ll do a moonsault now but Johnny Grunge breaks up the pin. Funk with a piledriver but Grunge again breaks up the pin. Roc able to tag and Grunge comes in. Neck breaker by Grunge and he throws Funk to the floor. Douglas with a piledriver on the floor! PE tag in and out a few times going after the neck of Funk. Tazmaniac attacks Sabu in the aisle. Sabu hits a springboard moonsault into the crowd. Tazmaniac with a belly to belly out of the ring and Sabu smacks onto the floor. Tazmaniac with some submission then a belly to back but he misses a headbutt. Sabu on the attack now gets a 2 after a leg drop. Belly to back drops Sabu on his head. Sabu though drop kicks the legs and then puts Tazmaniac on a table. Sabu though misses and crashes through the table. Paul E nails Tazmaniac from behind with the phone. Woman goes after him. Paul E grabs her and is going to nails her when Kevin Sullivan comes out and nails him. Sabu goes up top and is going to dive onto Sullivan. Tazmaniac knocks him down and hits a super single arm dragon suplex dropping Sabu right on his head. Tazmaniac covers and we have a new champion in 7.14.

My thoughts on the show…
Real good main event with a very hectic finish. The six man was pretty good. One of the better shows of the year so far.

Opening video.

Joey Styles runs down the show. “The Franchise” Shane Douglas takes on Pat Tanaka and TV Champion Tazmaniac defends against JT Smith.

Tod Gordon is again at the Valley Forge Muisc Fair to hype Ultimate Jeopardy.

Hawk video pacakge.

Bruise Brothers vs. Chris Ford & Damien Stone, ref Jim Molineaux.
Stone would become Little Guido and Ford is Devon Storm under his real name. The Harris Brothers again beat their opponents down the aisle. Double big boot pins Ford in .35.

“Superfly” Jimmy Snuka/Tommy Dreamer feud package.

Jason is with Joey. Joey suggests that someone could pay off Hughes to take the fall so they can beat on Jason. Jason wants to knew if the fans are hoping that he gets beat on. Jason yells at everyone being blood thirsty. The fans can’t do it themselves so they hope someone else will. Jason yells at Joey for always wanting Jason to get hurt. Jason talks about what the wrestlers would want to do with him when he’s locked in the cage. He doesn’t care about if Douglas gets his head shaved or if PE have to leave ECW but he cares about his well being. Jason will not let a beat down of him take place and then he storms off set. Another good promo from Jason

Pitbull & Rockin’ Rebel (w/ Jason) vs. Young Dragons
Pitbull with a double under hook power bomb and then he tags Rebel. Rebel with a side slam and throws the Dragon into his corner so he can tag. The other Dragon comes in and gets dropped with a suplex. Pitbull puts a Dragon on the top rope and then kicks him off and he falls to the floor and bounces off a table. Rebel comes and slams him on the table but it still doesn’t break. Rebel drops and elbow and it breaks. Pitbull sits on the top rope and Rebel passes him a Dragon for a super bomb. Cover and win in 3.42. The other Dragon gets a super bomb also.

A highlight package for the Tazmaniac and Smith main event is shown. The highlights off Smith include him getting thrown from various high places and just getting his ass kicked.

“The Franchise” Shane Douglas (w/ Sherri Martel) vs. Pat Tanaka, ref Jim Molineaux
Douglas slaps Tanaka and then pushes him to the mat. Tanaka hits a leaping forearm and sweeps the legs. Shane bails to the floor. Tanaka controls for the next minutes with a head scissor. Shane gets out and Tanaka hits the ropes but Sherri grabs his foot distracting him. This allows Shane to hit a clothesline and follow it up with a suplex for 2. Shane controls for a while he hits a superplex and sends Tanaka to the buckle a few times. Tanaka comes back and hits a back body drop. Tanaka with a power bomb but Sherri nails him. Tanaka goes to power bomb her and Shane levels him with a clothesline and covers for 3 in 8.48.

A run down of the “Ironman” Tommy Cairo and Sandman feud.

911 video package. This guy is so great.

TV Champion Tazmaniac (w/ Woman) vs. JT Smith, ref Jim Molineaux
Tazmaniac beats on Smith. Overhead belly to belly but Tazmaniac picks up Smith at 2. Smith fights back and hits an awful looking powerslam and awful elbow drop. Smith always looks so lost in the ring. Tag Team Champinos Public Enemy come down and grab Woman. Smith goes to save her cause he’s a nice guy. Tazmaniac suplexs Smith from the apron but Smith falls on top of Tazmaniac and gets the win and title in 2.47. WTF. PE get in the ring and begging beating on Tazmaniac. All the Double Jeopardy contenders end up int the ring and brawl. The faces clean house and celebrate.

My thoughts on the show…
Tanaka and Douglas was decent. Really disappointed Tazmaniac lost the title already, and to Smith, which makes it even worse. Good brawl at the end and the crowd was really into it.

TV 1994-03-29 (Matches taped 1994-03-05 at ECW Arena in Philadelphia, Pa)

Champions
Heavyweight: Terry Funk
TV: JT Smith
Tag: Public Enemy

Ultimate Jeopardy highlights open up the show. The match appears to have been contested under War Games rules where participants entered the ring one at a time. Order of appearance looks to have been Tazmaniac and Tag Team Champion Rocco Roc starting. Tag Team Champion Johnny Grunge, Kevin Sullivan, Mr. Hughes, Champion Terry Funk, “The Franchise” Shane Douglas and Hawk. Shane ended up tying a plastic bag over Funk’s head and pilee drivering him for the win. Due to the pre match stipulation Douglas is the new ECW Champion!

Matty in the House talks about all the recent goings on in ECW.

Falls Count Anywhere Match: Public Enemy vs. Bruise Brothers, ref Jim Molineaux
Matty reminds us that this is from the night before PE won the tag titles. Joey Styles is on commentary with some wrestling writer. A wild brawl all over the arena ends when Rocco Roc jumps off the eagle’s nest but nails Johnny Grunge by accident. One of the Harris brothers covers and pins them both in 6.56. After the match PE grab Joey and beat the crap out of him nailing him with a chair a few times.

The Bruise Brothers earned a tag team title match for later in the night but PE came out and attacked them as wells as Champions Kevin Sullivan and Tazmaniac with lead pipes. The Harris Brothers are in the locker room and they want to beat the crap out of PE and take the titles. PE talk next and I hate them. They talk about having girlfriends that looked like the Bruise Brothers while they were in jail. They were twice as tough too but the PE still took them twice every night. Yup thats right Public Enemy just admitted to the anal rape of two other inmates.

911 video package from last week.

TV Champion Sabu (w/ Paul E Danerously & 911) vs. “Awesome” Mike Awesome
Sabu is of course no longer TV Champion but was at the time of this match. They take turns diving at each others legs. Awesome rams Sabu into the turnbuckle then clotheslines him out of the ring. Awesome sets up the suicide dive but Sabu bails into the crowd. Awesome springboards to the top rope and dives on Sabu. Clip to Sabu missing a moonsault from the top. Awesome picks Sabu up for a suplex but throws him onto the top rope instead. Clothesline sends Sabu to the floor and Awesome hits the dive over the top rope! Awesome goes for a power bomb on the food but 911 attacks from behind and chokes him out. They set up Awesome on a table. Clip and Sabu is diving off the top rope putting him through the table. 911 throws Awesome back into the ring and Sabu covers him for the win. 3.19 was shown.

Paul E cuts a promo telling Awesome that he can call 911 any time but until then he needs to stop crying about what happened. He hypes Sabu’s appearance at the Arena on April 16th.

Matty talks about Ultimate Jeopardy and then we see the end of last weeks TV Title match. We get a Sal Bellomo versus Sandman hype video.

Shane Douglas is in the locker room celebrating with Sherri and Mr. Hughes. Rockin’ Rebel, Pitbull, Sandman and Public Enemy come to congratulate Douglas. Sandman says he will give Shane a discount on a girl. Apparently Sandman is a pimp now? Commissioner Tod Gordon shows up and also congratulates Douglas. Douglas and Sherri tell Gordon to bring on the challengers.

“Are you Gonna Go My Way” Music video featuring clips of Shane Douglas.

Hawk cuts a promo saying that he will be at the next ECW Arena show and he wants Douglas and Mr. Hughes.

My thoughts on the show…
Awesome and Sabu was short but fun. Pretty decent promo by Douglas and an acceptable amount of highlights from Ultimate Jeopardy makes this one worth checking out.
