WWE Survivor Series 2014 Kickoff Show

We are welcomed to the WWE Survivor Series 2014 Kickoff Show by the expert panel. The crew welcomes us to the show and runs down some of the action before quickly sending things to the ring, where we are joined by Michael Cole, Jerry Lawler and JBL on commentary for our first Kickoff Show match.

Justin Gabriel vs. Fandango (with Rosa)

In the ring already is Justin Gabriel. Out next is the new-and-improved Fandango, accompanied by his new dance-partner, Rosa Mendes. The two have a whole new ring entrance, complete with a new theme song. Our first WWE Survivor Series Kickoff Show match is officially underway, as the bell sounds to start this one off.

Fandango jumps off to an early lead, and he’s in new ring gear as well. He’s got a fancy white shirt on with dress pants and dress shoes. Gabriel, by the way, is wearing some kind of skeleton ring attire.

Anyways, Fandango is in control of the offense with ease thus far, posing and dancing around in between spots and moves.

Fandango dominates the action throughout the entire match as the announcers spend most of the time putting over the “new-and-improved” Fandango, with Rosa as his new dance partner. In the end, Fandango hits his usual top-rope leg drop for the 1-2-3. Fandango wnis. Afterwards, he and Rosa dance around and celebrate their victory.

Back To The Kickoff Show Panel

Back to the expert panel, which features Renee Young, Alex Riley, Booker T and Paul Heyman, as we look ahead to some of the other matches scheduled for tonight’s WWE Survivor Series pay-per-view.

Backstage: The Miz & Damien Mizdow

From there, we shoot backstage for a Miz and Damien Mizdow segment. Mizdow hold an empty picture frame, which is supposed to be a mirror. Miz looks into the “mirror,” where Mizdow mimics all of Miz’s movements and gestures. They talk about how a win tonight for The Miz is also a win for Mizdow. Same basic stuff we’ve been seeing from these two.

Bad News Barrett Has Some “Bad News” For Team Cena & Team Authority

After the panel talks about some other stuff scheduled for tonight, they are interrupted by some music. It’s time, folks! Bad News Barrett makes his way out to his podium at the top of the stage. He says after a five and a half mnoth absence, he has returned. He references the Team Cena vs. Team Authority main event and the high-stakes stipulation. When he gets to John Cena, he says, “But John, I’m afraid I’ve got some bad news!” He talks about how The Authority is going to make his life a living hell. He then says, “It must be groundhog day, because Team Authority — I’m afraid I’ve got some bad news!” He says if they lose, WWE will live under a new era — the era of Bad News! He thanks us very much. His music plays and that’ll do it for Bad News Barrett’s Kickoff Show segment tonight. She closes by saying play time is over and when her title is on the line, like it is tonight, she’s going to get the job dnoe. She walks off.

Backstage: Byron Saxton Interviews AJ Lee

Backstage, Byron Saxton is with the WWE Divas Champion AJ Lee. She mocks the drama going on between The Bella Twins and jokingly asks how she’s going to manage tonight. She says she thinks somehow she’ll be able to manage just fine.

Cesaro vs. Jack Swagger (with Zeb Colter)

As the Kickoff Show panel continue debating and discussing some of tonight’s matches, they are interupted by the theme song of none other than “The King of Swing.” With that said, Cesaro makes his way to the ring and ultimately informs everyone in St. Louis that he offers his support tonight for Team Authority. He proceeds to do the same in six different languages, until finally, Jack Swagger, accompanied by Zeb Colter, interupts him.

Colter asks for the production truck to “cut the music.” He says he’s sick and tired of hearing about all of this foreign stuff. As he continues to talk, as he and Swagger move closer to the ring, Colter makes it clear that he and Swagger offer their support for Team Cena. He tells Cesaro that he’s a brown-noser and now as they get closer to the ring, he’s going to show what a real American does, which is roll their sleeves up and get the job done themselves. With that said, he leads the fans in a loud “We The People!” chant.

The bell rings and here we go with a one-on-one match between Cesaro and Swagger. Early on, Cesaro establishes dominance over Swagger, until out of nowhere Swagger looks to apply the Patriot Lock. Cesaro, however, ultimately breaks his way free.

Cesaro re-establishes control of the offense as the “U.S.A.” chants break out in St. Louis. The announcers remind us that Cesaro and Swagger used to be a part of “The Real Americans” tag-team.

As the action continues, a loud “We The people” chant breaks out as Cesaro cuts a comeback attempt by Swagger short. The announcers ignore the action in the ring as Cesaro maintains control of the action in the ring.

Swagger starts making a comeback. As he launches up to the middle rope for a Swagger Bomb attempt, Cesaro grabs him, but Swagger immediately reverses that into a Patriot Lock attempt. Cesaro breaks free, but literally secnods later, Swagger re-applies the hold. This time, Cesaro taps out.

Winner: Jack Swagger

Parking Lot: Vince McMahon Has Arrived!

Right after the Swagger-Cesaro match ends, we shoot out to the parking lot. We see a limo pull up. Out steps a pair of shoes. The camera pans up and we see none other than Mr. McMahon himself, Vince McMahon! Vince walks towards the building as the Kickoff Show concludes. It’s time to head to the PPV portion of the 2014 edition of WWE Survivor Series! Stick with us folks, it’s time for WWE Survivor Series 2014!

WWE Survivor Series 2014 Results

After a quick preview for The Uso documentary that will follow Monday night’s post-Survivor Series edition of RAW, as well as some other general WWE Network plugs, including one for the RAW pre-show, we head into the official start of the WWE Survivor Series 2014 pay-per-view broadcast. Here we go, folks!

After the usual, elaborate, bad-ass video package to open the show for Survivor Series — BOOM — “No Chance!” hits.

In-Ring: Vince McMahon, Stephanie McMahon, Triple H & John Cena

Out comes Vince McMahon doing his infamous “Mr. McMahon” walk. He welcomes us to the show from inside the ring and promises tonight will be a Survivor Series that we will not ever forget.

From there, he introduces his daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie McMahon and Triple H — The Authority.

Steph starts by thanking her dad for this incredible opportunity. She promises to make him proud. HHH tells everyone to give it up for Vince McMahon, the man we’re all here for. Steph tries leading the fans into a “Vince! Vince! Vince!” chant. The two suck up to Vince a bit more until Vince then introduces the captain of Team Cena, the man himself, John Cena.

Vince tells Cena to understand the importance of tonight’s main event. He reminds him that if his team loses, everyone of his team members gets fired. Likewise, he tells Team Authority that they will no longer be in power if their team loses tonight.

HHH tells Cena that he’ll be personally responsible for four men losing their livlihoods if he and his team can’t win tonight. HHH says he thinks Cena is just out for himself. He says tomorrow night four guys will crawl and beg for their jobs, but it won’t matter because they won’t get them back and they’ll soon be forgotten — and it’ll all be Cena’s fault. Stephanie pretty much reiterates the same point.

Steph continues by saying that on the flip-side of things, even if Team Authority loses, while HHH and herself won’t personally be at RAW calling the shots, they still will run the company from WWE Headquarters. Vince says that’s not true. He says they’ll still have desk jobs, but they won’t have any say over the careers or lives of any WWE Superstars. He says he’s arranged in the contract one person who has the power to bring them back in charge.

Stephanie tries sucking up and bringing up the holiday season coming up and how they’re all going to spend it together with Vince and his grandchildren, she and HHH’s kids. Vince gets back on track and says the only person who will have the authority to bring HHH and Steph back into power if they lose tonight — is John Cena. The fans cheer and chant “Yes! Yes! Yes!” Cena now has a big smile on his face.

Vince says that’s how much confidence he has in them two and that they’re both McMahon’s. He tells HHH he married a McMahon. He tells them to prove it. Steph tells Cena to wipe that smile off his face or she’ll do it for him. Cena tells she and Hunter face-to-face that they’re going to lose tonight. He says because he’s the only person with the power to give them their power back if they lose, it’ll never happen. He quotes Vince by saying him giving them their jobs back if they lose is “no chance in hell.” His music plays and he leaves.

Stardust battles the other Matador. A big splash spot happens with a bunch of the guys, leading to Miz tagging in and hitting his finisher, however Sandow tags himself in, without Miz’s knowledge, and scores the pin to win the match for his team. We have new tag-team champs.

Backstage: Team Authority Pep Talk

Backstage we see a shot of all of the members of Team Authority. HHH reminds them that everything is on the line tonight. He says when they win tonight, the people who stand to benefit the most tonight — is everyone on their team. Stephanie promises them more title matches and money. She tells them that they can’t let them down, getting emotional while saying so. HHH stops her and says this is one of those times in your life that’s remembered forever, not just for them, but for everyone. He continues to psche them up. He says he can honestly say this is the best team ever assembled.

Well, this one didn’t last long. In the end, of a match that lasted all of two minutes at best, The Bunny stelas the pin from Rose and celebrates, doing the stage dive off the apron onto the Rosebuds. The Rosebuds celebrate, carrying The Bunny to the back as a pissed off Rose looks on by himself, alone in the ring.

Winners: Adam Rose & The Bunny

Live Via Satellite: Roman Reigns

After that goofy comedy tag-match, we see Michael Cole, Jerry Lawler and JBL standing at their announce desk at ringside. They introduce their guest at this time — Roman Reigns.

Cole asks Reigns how his recovery is going. Reigns talks about having a special place in his heart for Survivor Series. He puts over St. Louis and says if he were there right now, he’d cock this here fist and make it “Reign” in this “bitch.”

JBL takes over, as heel, and asks Reigns how he feels knowing he’s going to be at home possibly watching his former Shield mate Seth Rollins take out Team Cena and help The Authority regain control of WWE. Reigns tells JBL that’s a stupid question. He says in a month’s time it doesn’t matter who’s in power. He says a month from today, Roman Reigns is back. He tells us that we can believe that. That ends the segment.

Backstage: Team Cena

We see all of the Team Cena members hanging around talking about how important tonight is. In walks Cena and says he’s going to do everything in his power to make sure his team members keep their jobs. The talk ends with Ryback saying, “tonight it’s feeding time, and the big guy is hungry.” Cena says there’s only one thing left to do. Erick Rowan takes his sheep mask off and simply says, “win.”

WWE Divas Championship

Now it’s time for WWE Divas Championship action. Out walks Nikki Bella, accompanied by her personal assistant, Brie Bella. We see some video packages of how the two have gotten along since Brie became Nikki’s assistant, including the big set up for tonight’s Nikki-AJ match with Brie dressing up as AJ last week, only to get beaten up by AJ along with Nikki.

Well, that one lasted even less time than the comedy tag-match earlier. The bell rings, due to a distraction by Brie on the floor, AJ turns right around into Nikki’s finisher. 1-2-3. Nikki wins. After the match, Brie celebrates with Nikki as if she wasn’t forced to do that, but instead that she wanted to do it on her own. Anyways, we have a new Divas champ.

Winner and NEW WWE Divas Champion: Nikki Bella

Traditional Elimination Match
– Team Authority vs. Team Cena

It’s main event time, folks! After “King of Kings” plays and Triple H and Stephanie McMahon make their way down to the ring. Each of the members of Team Authority come out and stand tall in the ring all at the same time.

Finally, it’s time for the good guys. Out first is Dolph Ziggler. Big Show follows him out. After him, with what I believe is new theme music (but still wearing a sheep mask), is Erick Rowan. “Feed Me More” plays as the co-captain, if you will, of the Team Cena faction makes his way out. The crowd — at least from what I can hear on my WWE Network feed, doesn’t seem that hot for the big fella. And finally, in the usual giant mixed reaction, which seems pretty down the middle thus far, is the captain of the team, John Cena.

Once all the members are in the ring, Triple H and Stephanie McMahon exit the ring. HHH slaps Mark Henry to try and fire him up. He’s seemingly going to start things off for his team. HHH and Steph are still on the apron, by the way. Big Show ends up KO’ing Henry as soon as he turns around. Boom. Just that quick. Henry has been eliminated. It’s now 5 on 4.

Eliminated From Team Authority: Mark Henry

The next fall, if that’s what we’re calling them, begins with Big Show taking it to Kane, who came in next to represent Team Authority. Show beats up on Kane a bit and then tags in Cena. Cena picks up where Show left off, taking it to the big red machine. Kane tags om Harper, so Cena tags in Rowan.

The crowd was hot to see Harper and Rowan, but before either could touch, Rollins forcibly tagged himself in on Harper. So, Rollins is in now and Rowan is beating him up in the middle of the ring. Using his power to manhandle “Mr. Money In The Bank.”

Rowan tags in Rollins and now the crowd is definitely hot for Ryback. They pop big for his tag and the “Feed me more” chants break out immediately. Harper tags in and Ryback is now manhandling him as well. Now, Kane tags in, but Ryback goes right after him. Kane ends up getting in a few shots, but Ryback hits a Lou Thesz press on him and beats on him some more.

Finally, Rusev tags in. The crowd likes the sight of these two killers standing across from each other. Rusev finally gets in the first bit of real offense on Ryback, but it isn’t long before Ryback blasts Rusev as well. Ryback hits a Meathook clothesline on Rusev. He picks him up for the Shellshock but due to interference from Kane, doesn’t get it. Now everyone hits the ring and there’s chaos all over the place.

In the midst of all of this, Rollins blasts Ryback with a Curb Stomp, which the ref didn’t see. Rusev pins him. Ryback is eliminated.

Eliminated From Team Cena: Ryback

Starting off the next fall is Rusev and Big Show. Rusev tags in Harper. Show beats up on Harper for a while but a big clothesline from the former Wyatt family takes Show down to one knee. Rollins tags in and picks up where Harper left off, taking it to Show in the middle of the ring. Now Kane tags in and now he’s beating up on Show.

The action continues as Big Show finally tags in Dolph Ziggler, a man the fans have been chanting for throughout the match. He comes in with a flurry of offense.

Rusev tags in and after some quick double-team offense from Rusev and Rollins, “The Bulgarian Brute” is left alone with Ziggler. He puts the boots (or bare feet, in his case) to him for a while before tagging Kane in. The fans chant “let’s go Ziggler” as Kane hits a big sidewalk slam on “The Show Off.”

For the last several minutes now, it’s been all Team Authority, as the take turns tagging each other in, keeping fresh man on a beaten and battered Ziggler, who has become nothing more than a punching bag for all of the Team Authority members.

Now we’re in the midst of a spot where each member of both teams are taking turns hitting the ring and doing their finishing moves and other high spots on each other. Hard to keep track of who the legal men are, as the announcers point out.

After throwing Ziggler onto a group of guys outside the ring, Rusev loses his cool and is tearnig apart all of the ring announce tables, seemingly setting someone up for a big spot. He grabs Ziggler by his hair and lays him across the announce table. He climbs up on the other table himself. He runs, jumps and dives from one announce table to the other, but Ziggler moves. Rusev goes crashing through the table himself. The ref starts his count. Ziggler makes it to the ring, but Rusev doesn’t. Rusev has been counted out and is now eliminated.

Eliminated From Team Authority: Rusev

Cena’s team now has a one-man advantage. In the ring now is Ziggler and Kane, however Ziggler finally makes the tag to Cena. Cena hits an A.A. on Kane but Rollins runs in and hits a Curb Stomp on Cena out of nowhere. The announcers question how that was legal.

With help from Seth Rollins, Harper blasts Rowan with his big clothesline. 1-2-3. Rowan is eliminated.

Eliminated From Team Cena: Erick Rowan

I believe we’re down to Ziggler, Show and Cena on one side, and Rollins, Kane and Harper on the other. As soon as I say that, boom, Show hits Cena with the KO punch. Cena gets pinned and eliminated.

Elimination From Team Cena: John Cena

This leaves Big Show and Ziggler as the only members of Team Cena, however he shakes hands with HHH and Steph and walks off. They’re saying Show is going to be counted out, leaving Ziggler by himself. I’m assuming that’s what happened, although I have yet to hear that Show is officially eliminated. We’ll assume he is for now, I guess.

Eliminated From Team Cena: Big Show

So, now we’ve got Dolph Ziggler as the lone member of Team Cena. On Team Authority, we’ve got Seth Rollins, Kane and Luke Harper. Out of nowhere, Ziggler hits the Zig-Zag on Kane and covers him. 1-2-3. Kane is eliminated.

Eliminated From Team Authority: Kane

We’re down to Ziggler on Team Cena and Harper and Rollins on Team Authority. Harper and Ziggler are the legal men in the ring right now and Harper is going to work on him. He hits him with power move after power move, but can’t seem to score the three-count. Triple H is freaking out at ringside, as we see via a close-up camera shot. Boom. Out of literally nowhere, Ziggler rolls up Harper. 1-2-3. Harper is eliminated.

Eliminated From Team Authority: Luke Harper

Alright folks, we’re down to Dolph Ziggler on Team Cena and Seth Rollins on Team Authority. These are the final two legal men left in the match from both teams. Immediately, Rollins takes Ziggler out to the floor and goes to work on him.

Back in the ring, Ziggler rolls Rollins up, 1-2-….nope. Rollins kicks out. He tries again, 1-2….nope, again. Rollins kicks out again. We see Triple H throwing crap around ringside, throwing a big temper tantrum. Stephanie is losing her cool as well. Power of WWE lies in the balance as Ziggler and Rollins battle it out in the rnig. Rollins hits his big powerbomb into the corner spot for a very close near fall. No dice, however.

Ziggler and Rollins climb to the top rope but Rollins knocks him off. Rollins comes off the top but misses, right into a FameAsser from Ziggler. 1-2….Rollins kicks out. HHH is yelling at Joey Mercury and/or Jamie Noble to do something, or just freaking out. Ziggler knocks Noble and Mercury off the apron. Rollins tries to attack from behind but turns right into a Zig-Zag from Ziggler. 1-2-……HHH pulls the ref out of the ring. Now the security guys, Noble and Mercury, hit the ring and beat up on Ziggler.

Ziggler somehow fights his way out of their grip and knocks one of them into Steph on the floor. Rollins goes for a Curb Stomp but Ziggler reverses into a Zig-Zag. After a long delay, a ref runs into the ring. 1-2….HHH pulls that ref out now as well.

HHH is pissed now. He blatantly comes in the ring and takes his jacket off. He punches away at Ziggler. He rolls his sleeves up and clotheslines Ziggler down to the mat. HHH hits a Pedigree on Ziggler now and pulls Rollins on top of him. He calls for a ref and out comes the crooked Scott Armstrong ref.

As he counts 1-2….boom. A weird, Crow video plays on the big screen. We see Sting’;s face flash across the big screen.

Holy crap, folks! Sting makes his way out to the top of the stage. Sting stands as everyone looks on in amazement. Sting finally walks towards the ring and blasts the crooked referee Scott Armstrong.

Sting enters the ring and he and Triple H stare each other down. They circle each other without breaking eye-contact. Sting and HHH stare on opposite sides of the fans, ala Hogan-Rock back in the day, as an insanely loud “this is awesome!” chant breaks out.

Finally HHH goes after Sting, but Sting kicks him in the gut. He picks HHH up and blasts him with a Scorpion Death Drop. He picks up Ziggler and puts him over Rollins. He leaves the ring. The fans chant “Sting! Sting! Sting!” as he leaves. The ref returns. 1-2-3. Ziggler wins. Rollins is eliminated.

Eliminated From Team Authority: Seth Rollins

Winners — forcing Team Authority out of power: Team Cena (sole survivor: Dolph Ziggler)
