Thanks to Ricky Ortiz for the following WWE live event results from Friday’s show at Madison Square Garden in New York City:

* The ring ropes were red and yellow for Hulk Hogan Appreciation Night. A loud Hogan chant started the show.

* Triple H appeared on the big screen and cut a promo hyping the show.

* Bad News Barrett defeated Dolph Ziggler and Dean Ambrose in a very hot opener. Ambrose came back and hit Dirty Deeds, then ran off with the Intercontinental Title belt.

* Seth Rollins appeared on the big screen and cut a promo on Daniel Bryan and Roman Reigns.

* Cesaro and Tyson Kidd defeated The New Day when Kidd pinned Xavier Woods after a double team.

* Chris Jericho came out for The Highlight Reel and ripped on Stephanie McMahon but Luke Harper interrupted and issued a challenge.

* Chris Jericho defeated Luke Harper after a Codebreaker. This was a very good match.

* R-Truth defeated Fandango.

* John Cena defeated Rusev by DQ with the United States Title on the line. Lana and Rusev cut a pre-match promo and said Cena would never get a title shot but Triple H came on the big screen and made it a title match since this is MSG. They did a referee bump and Rusev got caught using a steel chair by the second referee.

* Nikki Bella defeated Paige. They did fan voting to determine if Brie Bella could stay at ringside or not. She was allowed to stay and helped Nikki get the win. Paige was over big.

* Randy Orton defeated Bray Wyatt. Besides the Hulk Hogan segment, Orton got the biggest pop of the night. Orton hit a RKO after blocking Sister Abigail for the win.

* Jimmy Hart started the Hogan segment and welcomed us. He talked about his friendship with Hogan and out came Scott Hall and Kevin Nash to nWo music. Hall did his trademark survey and they talked about going to WCW and doing the nWo with Hogan. Nash introduced Hogan and he came out to a huge pop. Hogan posed for a few minutes and went to the ring but was interrupted by Ric Flair. Flair came out and got in Hogan’s face but started smiling. The showdown got another huge pop. Flair talked about his history with Hogan and praised him as the greatest of all time. Flair got emotional when talking about Hogan being there for him when his son Reid died. We got a video package that had comments from The Rock, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels and others.

Triple H came out with MSG officials. He said he’s coming out to the ring as the little kid who looked up to Hulk Hogan, not as the WWE COO or The Authority. He also praised Hogan and the MSG reps presented him with a portrait from WrestleMania 1. Hogan cut a promo thanking MSG, the fans, WWE, Triple H and everyone else. They then raised a banner for Hogan to celebrate 30 years of Hulkamania at MSG. The banner hung with the other historic MSG banners. Flair and Hogan jokingly teased “one more match” as fans chanted. Hogan did his photos and took photos to end a really special segment and a great show overall.
