According to two major sources, it appears the WWE have reached at least a verbal agreement with Hulk Hogan to return to the company. Hogan is expected to play a role at the WWE Hall of Fame. as well as WrestleMania.
There have already been rumors going around that Hogan could induct the Ultimate Warrior into the WWE Hall of Fame. The idea of inducting the main event of the very first WrestleMania, between Hogan & Mr. T vs. Roddy Piper & Paul Orndorff, has also been discussed.
As far as WrestleMania goes, there’s an outside shot we could see Hogan wrestling a match, but as of now WWE officials don’t believe the Hulkster will be able to pass the physical. Regardless, there are plans for Hogan to have an on air role as part of the 30th annual event.
At one point there was talk of Hulk Hogan appearing at the ‘groundbreaking’ WWE Network announcement, but the company did not want Hogan’s return to distract from the Network announcement. The decision was made to hold off on his return, which will help pop a big TV rating as WWE is negotiating their TV rights fees.
