– There has been lots of talk within WWE about Rey Mysterio’s future with the company over the last 48 hours. Rey’s deal expires in 3 months and with there no longer being a top spot for him, the belief among some is that he is preparing to finish up his last run and be finished. Those same people that speculate he’s leaving soon believe that he could end up on the new AAA TV show that debuts on the El Rey Network this fall. Rey could end up being a major player on that show when it launches. Konnan, who remains close with Rey, will play a big part of the new AAA TV show. That show is scheduled to start taping in Los Angeles this August.

– On Monday’s RAW, Batista cut a promo finally acknowledging that fans are completely rejecting him. At Tuesday’s SmackDown tapings, Batista cut a heel promo and then went on to squash one of WWE’s beloved underutilized talents.
Batista cut a promo at the beginning of the SmackDown tapings, voting to “Destroy each of our heroes” on his way to WrestleMania. This led to Dolph Ziggler coming out, who called Batista a dinosaur and gave him a dropkick, setting up a match between the two later in the night.
During their match, Ziggler got a loud babyface reaction during their match and got a lout “Let’s Go Ziggler chant” against the Royal Rumble winner. Batista taunted the crowd during the match and eventually won by giving Ziggler the Batista Bomb.

– Monday night’s episode of RAW drew a 3.31 (3.3) cable rating, up from last week’s 3.08 (3.1). Although that’s a good number for WWE, Batista’s return to WWE drew a 3.5 cable rating.

– RAW NEWS: It was announced at the SmackDown tapings that The Wyatt Family will face The Shield in a six man tag-team match on RAW next week. This is a rematch from their awesome Elimination Chamber match.
Brock Lesnar & The Undertaker are also confirmed for next week’s RAW in Chicago, IL.
Actor Aaron Paul of “Breaking Bad: fame will be the guest host of next week’s RAW in Chicago, IL.
As of this writing, CM Punk is not scheduled to appear at next week’s RAW in Chicago, IL.

– Variety reports that the Muppets will be “likely to return” to host Raw next month in order to promote the release of Muppets Most Wanted on March 21st.

– As noted late Wednesday night here on the website, the leading candidate to be the main event inductee into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2015 is Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. The decision is said to be completely up to him on whether or not he accepts. Word is that it all comes down to whether or not his Hollywood schedule will allow him to appear.

– To prevent him from getting lost in the Mania shuffle, word coming out of this week’s WWE tapings is that Alexander Rusev won’t debut in the ring until right after WrestleMania XXX. Rusev worked the 30-man Royal Rumble match this year but has not wrestled a singles match on the main roster since then.
