– Wanderlei Silva is coming out with fighting words for Chael Sonnen in his latest video blog. Silva and Sonnen are set to meet in July at UFC 175. The two were coaches on The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil 3, which currently airs on Fight Pass.

Silva called out Sonnen for being “a racist” and wanting to humiliate his country and native Brazilians. “The Axe Murderer” and Sonnen even came to blows during filming of the series.

“This is not a joke,” he said. “This is not comedy. This guy is making jokes about domestic violence, about guys beating up girls. He calls women (expletive). He says we are all filthy people in our country. He implied we’re a bunch of monkeys. That makes me angry. He wants to humiliate us, just like all the people who have been humiliated for so long in this country. Enough of that. I felt like it was my mission to defend our country. I’m defending our country.”

– Former UFC light heavyweight champion Tito Ortiz will avoid a stay in jail following his January DUI. Ortiz agreed to a plea of a fine and probation for his early 2014 accident that left his 2012 Porsche Panamera damaged.

Ortiz, who initially entered a plea of not guilty, changed his plea to no-contest and was sentenced to 36 months probation and ordered to enroll in an alcohol education program, according to a report by TMZ.

As for his fighting future, Ortiz is set to meet Alexander Shlemenko at Bellator 120 later this month. Shlemenko is the current middleweight champion in Bellator, but the bout will be contested at 205 pounds.

– The return process for former UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva continued. “The Spider” suffered a gruesome broken leg last December in a loss to Chris Weidman for the belt.

Since having surgery to repair the injury, Silva has kept fans in-touch with his recovery process. He’s posted videos of rehab activities, all of which lead to believe he is on the fast track to a return.

In the latest update, Silva is lifting weights while standing without help on his surgically repaired leg. No exact date has been set for his Octagon return, but the Brazilian has mentioned early 2015.
