– TNA recently made a play for CM Punk.
This was done similar to how they reached out to Alberto Del Rio, through an intermediary who is friends with Punk. The idea pitched was said to be a huge deal for Punk to be the top star of the company with pay similar to what Hulk Hogan was making. The idea is that Punk could be TNA’s flagship star and if he signs now, he could help get a strong TV deal. Punk reportedly expressed no interest in working in pro wrestling again.
– Due to WWE’s roster depth issues, Chris Jericho will indeed be making a quick return on next month’s European tour. He’s not scheduled for RAW but will be working six dates from November 10th through November 15th. It appears he will be working the SmackDown tapings that week.
– Randy Orton apparently has a new agreement with WWE where he’s not working full-time on the road for weekend live events anymore.
– As noted, Rey Mysterio was backstage at recent AAA Lucha Underground tapings in Los Angeles. WWE officials were not happy when photos of Rey backstage and then later at a dinner with some people from the promotion popped up on social media. Those photos were quickly deleted. No word yet if anything will come out of this latest incident but Rey is still under contract with WWE.
