– As noted, The Usos will face WWE Tag Team Champions Goldust and Stardust on this week’s SmackDown in a steel cage match with the titles on the line.
While it may seem that Los Matadores should be the #1 contenders, WWE’s plan for this week’s cage match is to have it build to a Tag Team Title match at the Survivor Series pay-per-view. The belts likely will not change hands on SmackDown.

We noted before that a multi-team match for the belts was being planned for Survivor Series. The cage match will likely somehow set up that multi-team match.

– We noted back in July that WWE was touting a 90% satisfaction rate from WWE Network subscribers. In new Network promotional material released this week, WWE is still touting a 90% satisfaction rate among users.

– John Cena is backstage for tonight’s WWE SmackDown tapings and may be appearing, although he’s not advertised to appear.

Cena and the SmackDown crew will be joining the rest of the WWE crew headed for Europe this week. Cena is being advertised for Wednesday’s live event in London so that makes for a very long day if he does work SmackDown.

– The Miz’s School of Performance is a hot topic among WWE fans on social media today. WWE’s website has a video from the WWE App with part 1 of Miz’s acting school at this link.

– As noted, Santino Marella was recently cleared to start doing some training in the gym. Santino is looking to make a WWE comeback from retirement. He tweeted the following about returning today:

“Many people ask about my return, it’s not for certain but I must train as if it is, today I did a bit too much, slow & steady #misswwe”

– It was noted by F4Wonline.com that until they talked at last night’s WWE RAW in Buffalo, there had been no contact between Rey Mysterio and Vince McMahon since Rey last left.
