We noted before that MVP suffered a knee injury at a May 30th Preston City Wrestling event in the UK. Until he gets MRI results back, it’s still unknown if he will be able to face TNA World Heavyweight Champion Eric Young at Slammiversary next weekend.
MVP appeared at the May 31st events he was booked for overseas and cut a promo as General Manager, apologizing to fans that he couldn’t compete. MVP said x-rays were inconclusive on the extent of the injury and he would need to get an MRI. MVP has been quiet about the injury on Twitter and at TNA has not acknowledged it yet. Chris Masters was on the same tour as MVP and posted a photo of MVP in a wheelchair on June 2nd.
It’s possible TNA already knows an update on his condition and will insert something into tonight’s Impact Wrestling broadcast but TNA could once again face major issues with a match due to taping so many weeks ahead.
