– UFC president Dana White seems to be in agreement with Jon Jones that the light heavyweight champion has many challenges ahead before any move to heavyweight. White discussed a possible super-fight between Jones and Cain Velasquez while announcing The Ultimate Fighter: Latin America recently.

“It’s not the time for a Cain vs. Jon Jones super-fight,” White said (thanks to MMAjunkie.com for the quotes). “Jon is 26 years old. As he continues to get older, he will have a harder and harder time making 205, which would eventually probably force him up to heavyweight.”

Jones is set to meet Alexander Gustafsson later this year, with another potential contender in Daniel Cormier waiting in the wings. As for Velasquez, he will meet Fabricio Werdum at UFC 180 this November after the two coach opposite one another on TUF: Latin America.

– At one point in time, Gray Maynard appeared to be on the verge of becoming a champion in the UFC’s lightweight division. Now, “The Bully” is just fighting to compete again.

Maynard recently told MMAFighting.com that he plans to return to action later this year after a 2013 that he was happy to see end. The former No. 1 contender lost to both Nate Diaz and TJ Grant last year, two years removed from fighting then-UFC champion Frankie Edgar to a draw.

“Last year was the worst year of my life,” Maynard said. “No wonder they don’t have the 13th floor in buildings. Thirteen sucks. It was a tough year. It was good to get it done with and start a new year.”

Maynard added that he had his body checked out at the request of UFC officials and is now ready to fight again. The 35-year-old is 11-3-1 in his career, but just 1-3-1 in his last five fights.

– The upcoming “EA Sports: UFC” video game will feature an in-depth career mode, allowing gamers to become the next Ultimate Fighter. The game is set to be released this June on both Xbox One and Playstation 4.

To show what the EA Sports developmental team has been working on, they’ve released a video, which you can view below, detailing the career mode. The game will include all the current UFC stars, along with many past greats and even Bruce Lee.
