With upcoming live events letting the cat out of the bag on the return of “The Animal” Batista to the WWE, the WWE themselves had no option but to jump in on the announcement. This past Monday on Raw we were treated to a video on the return of The Animal. You’ll note his return date has been announced for the January 20th edition of Monday Night Raw, just in time for the final hype leading into the Royal Rumble.

The WWE has also added a poll to their web site, asking the Universe who they’d like to see face Batista upon his return. Last it showed, Randy Orton was winning that poll with 38% of the vote, and Brock Lesnar a close second with 33%. Since the announcement on Raw, WWE.com has went Batista wild, adding his bio and featuring a “Best of Batista” play list on their main page.
The most recent rumor coming out of the mill, is the possible plan of Batista returning to win the Royal Rumble and facing Randy Orton for the WWE World Title at WrestleMania. It’s said that Batista’s new contract with WWE takes him well past WrestleMania, some speculate all the way through July, when Batista will begin making the rounds to promote his next film “Guardians of the Galaxy” which has an August 1st release date.
