TNA and Global Force Wrestling have been in talks with the same TV networks, because very few networks are interested in picking up pro wrestling.
TNA actually has the upper-hand over GFW as they are operational, have some history and have stars under contract. Spike TV not renewing TNA may have changed the landscape of the business by making it a lot harder for GFW to get a TV deal.
Another issue with TNA’s potential network talks is that most of the stations they are rumored to be talking with don’t air in Canada. Spike TV airs in most of Canada, which has always been strong for pro wrestling.
– There have been talks of having Triple H’s new “stooges” Jamie Noble and Joey Mercury wrestle a match.
– We noted before that indie wrestler Leva Bates worked the recent WWE NXT TV tapings, losing to Carmella. It’s expected that WWE will bring Bates back for another look.
