Updated April 4th: Crazy Max Forums Update

Update for April 4, 2016

We’re making great progress thus far in getting the forum safely off the old server and onto a new server. It’s going to cost a little $$$, but Invision should hopefully be moving the forum for us, we’re just waiting to hear back about specifics / when they can schedule the server transfer. The board could be back as early as tonight or within the next couple of days depending on how fast they can get us into their schedule.

Again, the board has undergone an upgrade to a more modern style version, so when it does return it’ll take us a few days to add all of the features back to the site, like new board skins, arcade games, the feedback plugin, and etc… But our main goal is to get the board running on the new server so everyone can get a feel for the board, get back to posting and using the messenger feature, everything else will be re-added to the upgraded site in the days that follow.

Happy WRESTLEMANIA DAY Everyone!

Just a quick, short update… We want everyone to know that there hasn’t been much we could do by the way of moving the forums over to the new server yesterday or today due to personal things that needed to be attended to outside of the internet world.

We did however manage to get the Invision Power Board upgraded from the old 3.4 style to the more modern 4.1 version of the board with a lot of new social media type functions and whatnot. So when the board is fully functional on the new server (assuming that will be some time this week), you can look around and check out the new features. Invision has been great working with us thus far, and I have no doubt with their help we can get the board moved over in a couple of days once we’re able to get the process going.

For those interested, we will resume posting news, reviews, and etc… beginning tomorrow, Monday Apr. 3rd. We will also begin working on moving the forums over to the new server beginning April 3rd as well.

Want to thank everyone for their patience over the last 6 days and just wanted you to know the forums should be back up this week.

Updated 4/1/16

Hello to all Crazy Max Forum users.

After issues with the previous server we’ve used for the past 8+ years, yesterday afternoon we opted to move Crazy Max to a new server to prevent similar issues from happening in the future. The domain name has been pointing towards the new server host and the IP should already have propagated for everyone. If you can read this post, then you’re good. If you know someone who isn’t seeing this post, please advise them to clear their cache, and they should be good to go.

We were able to get the news side of the site back up yesterday, and as of this morning we have the admin panel back up and running in order to make posts and keep you updated on the forum as we continue to move it over to the new server and upgrade the forum. We’d like to tell you it’ll be back up this weekend, and that is completely possible as Invision is great at working with us, but I don’t want to put an exact day or time on when the Forum will be fully functional. It could be this weekend, or it could be next week before everything is up and running on the new server. It’s a combination of my free time, and the speed in which Invision corresponds with me to help me get the forum moved over safely and securely.

If any fellow Crazy Maxers are tech savvy in regards to working with Invision Power Board type forums, and moving servers, please drop me a line at CrazyMaxOrg@gmail.com and perhaps we can work together to expedite the moving of the forum to the new server. Please know that we’ve been working diligently since Monday afternoon to resolve all issues, most days from wake til’ sleep. We truly appreciate your support and patience.

While these type of things are never fun for anyone, this our first real forum issue in over eight years and I’ve spent day and night the last 4 days correcting the matter, so just bear with us at the moment and check back often for updates.
