– According to PWInsider.com, the original plan was for Titus O’Neil to be eliminated from the Royal Rumble match in 1 second, tying Santino Marella’s record, but timing issues between O’Neil, Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns prevented that from happening.
O’Neil was instead eliminated in four seconds, and he now shares a 4 second elimination with Jerry Lawler (1997) and Bushwacker Luke (1991). Owen Hart and Sir Mo both had 3 second eliminations in 1995, The Warlord had a 2 second elimination in 1989 and Santino’s 1 second elimination came in 2009.
– Bubba Ray Dudley’z appearance in the 2015 WWE Royal Rumble match was a one-off appearance, and he is not signed to make a full-time WWE return.
This does not mean, however, that Bubby will not return to WWE, as officials are open to bringing him back and his status could change. In related news, Bubba’s tag team partner Devon was not backstage at the Royal Rumble.
