– In light of recent allegations made toward him, Bill DeMott announced Friday that he is stepping down from his role as head trainer for NXT effective immediately.

“I deny the recent allegations made about me, however, to avoid any embarrassment or damage to the WWE, I’ve decided to step down from my role effective immediately,” he wrote on Twitter.

DeMott has come under fire in recent days after Austin Matelson and other former developmental workers accused him of physical and verbal abuse during their time with the company. WWE investigated the matter and claimed to find no evidence of such abuse.

– Mike Johnson of PWInsider reports that Matt Bloom, a.k.a. Jason “Tensai” Albert, will be taking over DeMott’s responsibilities as the interim head trainer.

– The Washington Post has an article about DeMott’s resignation at this link. The article also references this story posted on Reddit today from a person claiming to be a female wrestler who was in developmental under DeMott. She claims that DeMott threatened to fire women who were coming forward regarding a strength and conditioning coach who was allegedly sexually harassing women. The post contains photos allegedly from the strength and conditioning coach’s phone.
