– Former Canadian Football League star and wrestling legend Angelo Mosca, who worked with WWE as a TV announcer in the 1980’s, was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s last week. Mosca received a lot of media attention in Canada after the diagnosis and TheStar.com has an article with more information at this link.

– After months of speculation, international indie star Uhaa Nation is finally headed to WWE NXT. Nation announced his departure from Dragon Gate on their March 1st show after losing to BxB Hulk for the Open the Dream Gate Title.

– As noted, Rey Mysterio’s return to AAA was announced at a press conference in Mexico this week. Rey will be teaming with Alberto El Patron (Alberto Del Rio) and Myzteziz (original Sin Cara) in a May 23rd trios tournament called The Torneo Internacional de Lucha Libre. At the press conference, Mysterio claimed all of his time off while with WWE has him at 100% health. He also said he’s happy to be free and able to wrestle.

– Lana is expected to take at least some time off WWE TV soon to film the action-thriller Interrogation with Edge.

– The latest talk on this year’s SummerSlam pay-per-view is that it will be held at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. For those who are still wondering why they won’t take the pay-per-view to Madison Square Garden, it’s because the costs of running televised events from MSG are much higher than other venues.

– Below are recent WWE attendance figures:

* February 27th for WWE NXT in Jacksonville, FL drew a sellout of 500 fans
* February 27th at Madison Square Garden in NYC drew 12,000 fans
* February 28th in Toronto drew a sellout of 8,000 fans
* February 28th in Bridgeport, CT drew 5,600 fans
* March 1st in Buffalo, NY drew 5,500 fans
* March 1st in Uniondale, NY drew 6,000 fans
* March 2nd for RAW in Newark, NJ drew a sellout of 11,900 fans

An account that appears to be the real account of former WWE developmental talent Richie Steamboat, son of WWE Hall of Famer Ricky Steamboat, has recent tweets calling out NXT Champion Kevin Owens and praising Seth Rollins, seen below.

Steamboat hasn’t wrestled since October 2012 due to back issues that were believed to be career-ending. It was reported back in 2013 that Steamboat was released by WWE but that report was shot down and PWInsider recently speculated that he could still be signed.

We’ve reached out to get confirmation on Steamboat’s status with the company as well as the tweets and will keep you updated. Below are the tweets:

When I get back to @WWENXT and I’m fully healthy I’m coming for the World Championship…YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED…Mr. @FightOwensFight …

Very proud of @WWERollins . He’s came a long way in this company from starting at the good ole FCW to NXT and now to WWE. Proud of him.
