Partial thanks to the Wrestling Observer for their updates on some of these pieces.

– There was talk in late 2013 about Chris Jericho making a WWE return for at least a few months in 2014. Plans fell through, and reports say that the issue was not money, but instead there were creative issues that caused the negotiations to fall through.

– Ric Flair has reportedly signed a new deal with the WWE. Under the terms of the deal, all of his outside bookings are subject to WWE approval. Also, while he may be booked outside of the company, there is a clause in his contract that states that if the WWE calls him in for something, then he has to pull out of any outside booking that would be in conflict with the WWE booking.

– Wrestling legend “Beautiful” Bobby Eaton has reportedly made a significant turn for the better in terms of his health. Following issues with his heart and complications due to diabetes, he has lost a lot of weight and is the healthiest he has been in quite a while.

– Tensai is likely done as a wrestler in the WWE, at least for now. He will now be a full time announcer with the company. Tensai has been working on NXT as an announcer and has been involved in all of the pre and post-show trial runs WWE is working on for their Network

– Word is that top independent stars Michael Elgin and Kevin Steen could be invited to an upcoming WWE tryout camp at the WWE Performance Center in the near future.
