– Source: Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE announced today that they have extended their TV deal and promotional partnership with ATRESMEDIA for two more years through 2016. WWE RAW and SmackDown will continue to air on ATRESMEDIA’s channel NEOX in Spain. On a related note, tonight’s WWE live event at the Palacio Vistalegre Arena in Madrid is sold out, making it WWE’s best-selling event in Madrid since 2006.
– Scott Hall’s son Cody Hall is moving to Japan soon to train at the New Japan Pro Wrestling dojo.
– There’s no word yet on how WWE SmackDown moving to Thursday nights will affect international deals. Australia has been the first country to get SmackDown each week but now it appears Canada will get it first as it will be airing on Sportsnet 360 on Wednesday nights.
– As noted, Alberto Del Rio’s settlement with WWE is going to allow him to work for AAA’s Lucha Underground promotion in 2015. The next set of tapings begin January 17th so he should start then. Del Rio is proving to be a draw outside of WWE as he recently helped sell out an 8,000 seat arena in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico for a AAA live event.
– WWE cameras will be filming Jerry Lawler as he sings with Tom Nunnery at the Blue Note Bar and Grill on Beale Street in Memphis, Tennessee tonight. The show starts at 8pm. This could be for the Lawler project that WWE has been working on, which could be a DVD or a WWE Network special.
– Former WWE Diva Torrie Wilson did a photo shoot for a new Guess ad in Malibu on Wednesday.
– Stephanie McMahon and Triple H returned from WWE’s current tour of Europe early on Wednesday morning. Stephanie tweeted about their busy day:
