– Triple H is being advertised for WWE’s October 26th Hell In a Cell pay-per-view. Brock Lesnar, who is rumored to win the WWE World Heavyweight Title, is not being advertised.

– As noted, Sheamus missed last week’s WWE TV tapings due to a severe case of the flu. There was a plan to begin a Rusev vs. Sheamus feud for the United States Title at those tapings. There was talk of Sheamus losing the title to Rusev as a way to increase Rusev and Lana’s anti-American heat.

– Regarding the new heel stable with Xavier Woods, Big E and Kofi Kingston, people that have worked with Woods note that he was very good at doing heel promos when he was practicing for this role. We noted before that Stardust and Goldust defeated Big E and Kofi in a dark match at last night’s WWE tapings in Corpus Christi. There were people upset with them taking a loss but it was a dark match, which really doesn’t matter within WWE.

– The latest word on Sting and WWE is that they are hopeful to get a talent contract signed before SummerSlam. Sting is coming to Los Angeles for SummerSlam weekend but is not currently scheduled for the show itself. Sting currently has deals with Mattel and 2K Sports but not a wrestling deal with WWE. Talk of Sting signing with WWE has become a running joke, among fans and wrestlers, because the two sides are basically in the same spot they were in when talks first started getting serious in January.

Sting has had talks with Vince McMahon before but never met him in person. Their first meeting will likely come during SummerSlam weekend.
