Steve Corino is backstage and he talks about tonight’s main event during which he defends against Mike Awesome.
Opening Video.
Joey Styles welcomes us. Hypes Summer Apocalypse and goes right down to the ring. In the first match of the Global Tag Team Crown Challenge “Dr Death” Steve Williams beat CW Anderson. That means if Sandman beat Simon Diamond next week they will get a title match at Summer Apocalypse.
Da Hit Squad yell and growl about how they are in MLW to rip through everyone. They are going to bring American strong style in and throw the Samoan Island Tribe right out of MLW.
Joey talks about the Terry Funk Abdullah the Butcher match and says that it is to violent to air on TV!! Yes! The Extreme Horsemen have reached out to Jerry “The King” Lawler and they are trying to sign that match for Summer Apocalypse. CM Punk and Raven will be in a Straight Edge Match. Punk is behind a bar and talks about how Raven is losing his edge. He pours out some shots and then drinks soda.
Next is a fun brawl that ended in a no contest between Da Hit Squad and The Samoan Island Tribe.
Mike Awesome talks about how he’s going to go 2 for 2 at Tabu. He plans on knocking out Steve Corino just like he did to Masato Tanaka.
The Samoans take on Da Hit Squad in a falls count anywhere match at Summer Apocalypse. Michael Shane and Francine take on Norman Smiley and GI Ho. CMLL Tag Team Champions Los Infiernos take on Los Maximos. Maximos say they are ready to blow up in the wrestling world.
Bill Alfonso and Sabu are back. Alfonso talks about how Sabu is going to kick Sinister Minister’s group asses. Sabu takes on Christopher Daniels in a Spike Match at Summer Apocalypse. Sinister Minister cuts another good promo as Mikey Whipwreck acts crazy and talks to a giant dragon head. Mikey rolls around on the ground and finds a spike under a table. Funk and Lawler has officially been signed.
In the main event Champion Steve Corino was able to retain the title against Mike Awesome with some help from CW Anderson and Simon Diamond and by mistake Terry Funk.
My thoughts on the show…
Well the tag team brawl was fun other then that though nothing here. I hated the finish to the main event. Lots of matches set up for Summer Apocalypse tonight, which so far seems like a better card then last show. Thumbs down.

Simon Diamond and CW Anderson are backstage. Diamond says Sandman dogged him in ECW because he knew Diamond’s wrestling would beat out his hardcore fighting. Anderson says he respects “Dr. Death” Steve Williams but they are still going to take care of him tonight. Hmm this promo clearly should have aired last week before CW fought Williams.
Opening video.
Joey Styles welcomes us to the show and runs down the card for tonight.
In the opening match GTC Champion Simon Diamond beat Sandman. Due to the loss Sandman and Steve Williams will not get a tag team title match at Summer Apocalypse.
CM Punk says everyone has been asking him what the rules for the Straight Edge Match are. Punk says Raven is dying to know but doesn’t say what they are. Joey talks about how pepsi should sponsor the show and then trashes MLW for being so low rent. That’s good make fun of the show that you are a part of.
Da Hit Squad are in MLW to show the world how they beat people up. Mafia says he has an addiction to Samoan blood. Steve Corino talks about his victory last week and then turns his attention to Terry Funk. Those two have a match coming up September. The Samoan Island Tribe are backstage and Samu talks about how they are going to kick the ass of Da Hit Squad.
Jerry Lynn issued an open challenge and Homicide answered. After a hard fought match Homicide scored an upset over Lynn. After the match Lynn and Minister are in the locker room and Lynn is furious over the fact that every opponent he is scheduled to face never shows up and it’s not fair. Minister tells Lynn not to worry. Mikey Whipwreck jumps into the camera and starts signing “Don’t worry be evil” to the tune of “Don’t Worry Be Happy”. Then they all laugh like a bunch of maniacs. Awesome. Homicide is in his locker room and he says stuff about how he won the match.
Bill Alfonso talks about the Spike Math that’s coming up in a few weeks. Joey is running down the card and he gets word in his ear piece. We cut to the ring for the Steve Williams and Sandman versus the Extreme Horsemen match. The whole promo from before hand is cut out. Williams and Sandman won the match so now they will get a title match coming up at Summer Apocalypse.
My thoughts on the show…
The Lynn Homicide match is really good this episode is worth checking out for that and they promo afterwards.

In the opening match CM Punk and Michael Shane beat Raven and Norman Smiley after Punk pinned Raven with a DDT.
Extreme Horsemen are sitting backstage together talking about their upcoming matches. Referee John Finnegan shows up and hands a paper to Champion Steve Corino. Corino reads it and says that because of him hanging Terry Funk after his last title defense he is suspended. This means Corino will not be in the building at Summer Apocalypse. If he does show up he will be stripped of the title.
“Dr. Death” Steve Williams and Sandman are backstage. Williams is doing squats and they drink beers. Sandman questions why they are even training because Simon Diamond and CW Anderson don’t look like they have ever lifted a weight in their lives. They both might be drunk.
Ekmo is just arriving to the building and he is looking for Samu. He sees Samu’s jersey on the back of a chair and Samu with a towel over his head. Only it’s not Samu its Mafia hiding. Monsta Mac comes from behind and Da Hit Squad take out Ekmo. Sinister Minister talks about the Spike Match while Mikey Whipwreck sings “Puff the Magic Dragon” to his dragon head.

Joey runs down the Summer Apocalypse card. Added to the show are Sonjay Dutt versus Jimmy Yang, Homcidie and Jerry Lynn go at it again, Mikey Whipwreck vs. Tony Mamaluke and Nosawa gets another shot at Richard J Criado.
Da Hit Squad is outside in an ally and they hype the Falls Count Anywhere Match coming up on Friday. Joey tries to sell a few more tickets to Friday’s big show.
Mikey Whipwreck defeated Sabu in the main event after some help from the Sinister Minister.
The show goes off the air with a video package highlighting all the matches coming up at Summer Apocalypse. During the video package they show clips of Sabu attacking Christopher Daniels with a spike backstage. I don’t remember seeing this on TV and didn’t write about it in my reviews so I’m thinking I missed it somehow.
My thoughts on the show…
Another junk show thumbs down. Though I am excited for Summer Apocalypse next.

Sinister Minister says he loves the smell of burning flesh. Los Maximos come by and are looking for Mikey Whipwreck, their trainer. Mikey freaks out and yells at them sending them away. Minister says they won’t be done dealing with Sabu for a long time.
Joey hypes War Games and the Junior Title Tournament.
Terry Funk beat Abdullah the Butcher in a bloody but boring brawl. Joey ranted about how the match was too violent to be shown on TV. Unfortunately they aired almost the whole thing.
Joey questions if Satoshi Kojima will ever return to MLW and then he hypes War Games. Da Hit Squad will take on the Samoan Island Tribe in a fans bring the weapons match.
In the main event Los Maximos come out victorious against Tony Mamaluke and Jimmy Yang.
The show ends in an odd way with the Kojima video package.
My thoughts on the show…
Thumbs way down tonight. This one featured all of the worst matches from Rise of the Renegades.
